This is my first ever yelp review, and it saddens me that I had to write it. I am not one to complain, but I feel so upset that I let my family down on Christmas Eve. I ordered fried calamari and baked clams from Villa Brunetti. I make them every year, but this time I hosted at home and didn't have the means to make all the seafood. It was a total disappointment. I received a shallow pan half filled with calamari that looked like they were thrown into the fryer with no flour or breading. The baked clams were so tiny and all bunched up together. I paid $140.00 for these dishes, and was left embarrassed to serve inedible products. I have been in the food service industry for over 25 years, and a chef for 16 years, so I know what food is supposed to look like, taste, and presented. (No excuse for the execution). Prior to writing this review, I reached out to the restaurant and the only thing they had to say is that I was the only one who complained, they where dismissive and uncaring and they did not feel like they had to make anything right. I most certainly understand "things happen" One complaint or 100 complaints, that shouldn't matter. To be met with indifference by staff shows a lack of customer service and respect for your clientelle. What happened to making things right? Never again will I order from Villa Brunetti or will I attend their events. read more

Attended this banquet for a Hockey Dinner Dance thrown by my other half's hockey association. The banquet itself isn't extravagant nor beautiful, it's your average Joe. We were offer complimentary valet, well more like we were force to valet as that was the only option that night. It did create a line of cars, but our valet guy was as quick as possible. There was coat check, easy breezy, but the lady that worked it thought my boyfriend and I were putting 2 jackets in one, but we were only stuffing our scarves into the arm sleeves so they won't get lost and this lady looked at us like we were crazy and she's never seen anyone do that before, awkward. Any who the food was decent, we ate family style. Is it normal to have pasta before your salad? The bone-in chicken wasn't dry, kudos, it was over seasoned with salt though. My favorite part had to be the ice cream cake roll, yum. The service was overwhelming. Our server was all over us, sticking her arm in to remove dishes and glasses while we are trying to eat. Or removing plates before we were finished. Overall, a decent place, nothing to praise. read more

I recently had my son's graduation party and everything was wonderful. I dealt with Lena and she was so accommodating and helpful. I had the brunch package and I can't say enough how delicious the food was. I received many compliments how good everything was and such a nice assortment of items. The waitresses were so nice and made sure all went smoothly, both named Linda. I am very happy how it turned out, thank you Villa Brunetti for a memorable party. read more

They now have food to go!!!! My God, they have just given me the BEST eggplant parmigiana sandwich EVER! I thought Elena's Cucina was damn good, but this place takes the cake. Not only was their eggplant parm sandy delicious, but they also had a grilled veggie panini that is TO DIE FOR! Imagine roasted red peppers, eggplant, zucchini and ooey gooey goat cheese all melted in between 2 slices of crispy, grilled bread....YUMMY!!! I started ordering from there because i heard they had great Pizza and food.I have ordered many times and last night i decided to order from here because a friend was over and said he has not eatin there in a while. We ordered the Special of the day(Lasagna) I figured it would be a cheese Lasagna because it did not specify on the menu nor did the lady on the phone telling me it is meat lasagna and is that ok.I also ordered the 12 baked clams.All was $26 and when it came we were super hungry and excited. The Lasagna looked like it was thrown into a togo container,it had no ricotta barley and tons of ground beef,super salty and taste like a frozen piece of stoffers lasagna. The clams had sand in them and taste like old rotten clams. This is coming from 2 chefs who have worked at many places over the years and instead of calling and getting a credit because the food sucked im just going to do what everyone should................Write a bad Yelp review so the people out there dont waste their hard earned money dont go to waste. I Also ordered a Pizza a few weeks earlier and it came cold,and was not crispy crust and cooed the way i asked. So now im no longer going to waste my money or time calling them for food. I just threw out the Menu's. I'm sure it is not a good idea to serve this leftover shit to 2 chefs who could of made way better but was in the mood for take out.Im not going to ever back this place.Maybe because it was sunday and late they thought no one would order and had to throw some shit together to make the order. Very very good local banquet hall that now offers the options to order food for pick-up or delivery (thank God!). Villa Brunetti Banquets has been around for years and I've actually been to a few events that VBB has hosted. They typically host the local contest for Miss Italia, which has always been run perfectly. I've been here for a wedding as well and the place looked great. There's plenty of parking available so that's never a problem. The place itself is quite large. I wouldn't say the size is quite with the likes of Pescatore Palace, but it is definitely sufficient for any banquet needs. Most importantly, is the food. Ever since we've been aware that we can order food from here, we've been ordering probably once a week, and if you've had the food, you'll know why. The appetizers have all been good: bruschetta is made right, delicious toppings, oil, the arancini are good as well (I've had better, but theirs were surprisingly fair), and they have a seafood platter that comes with (a massive amount of) calamari, scallops, mushrooms, and I believe zucchini, AKA, an appetizer orgasm. The meals are just as well. I've had the linguini con calamari which always turns out well, thick red sauce, crisp calamari, and long linguini noodles. I also like the rigatoni with vodka sauce, thick rigatoni noodles with a zesty vodka sauce. All of the meals come with a side of warm bread and a house salad. You'd think the house salad would be a sad throw-in, but its actually one of my favorite parts. The delivery is quick, and the person delivering has always been over-the-top friendly. Overall one of my favorite places to order from in the local area; definitely recommend this to anyone seeking to satisfy their craving for Italian dining. read more

Wow I was surprised how good this banquet was. The atmosphere was that of an average banquet, nothing special but the food was amazeballs! They had an awesome simple vegetable soup, chicken vesuvio, spaghetti and meatballs, sausage and peppers, potatoes and scrumptious pizza bread. Even the coffee tasted delicious. I would consider hosting an event at this banquet but it's a little too far. :( But if you live in the area I'd recommend it. Specially if you're a Mama-Mia-use- your-hands-to-talk type of person. ;) read more

This banquet hall has a "to go" portion of their establishment called VBtogo, my in laws order from here often and every time we have been over and they have ordered pizza, it has been some of the best pizza I have ever had. Ordered from here tonight while visiting and aside from pizza we ordered wings, clams, and fries; while the Pizza alone is really amazing, the clams were dry and filled with breading, they also tastes spoiled. Aside from the bad clams, Wings were good too and steak fries. We will probably never eat anything aside from pizza here again because it is that good. read more

Last week we ordered the first time a stuffed artichoke and mushrooms . The artichoke was great very filling the perfect amount of seasoning . The mushrooms tasted fresh, no greasy or old oil taste. The other day we ordered the chicken dinner can't remember the name but it was delicious the chicken very tender ,the mushrooms perfect and the sauce like I said before just the right amount of seasoning . The next day the leftover's were just as good as when we first got the dinner. Finally found a place that doesn't go crazy with spices or hot spices , they know how Italian should taste and we love it. read more

We went there for a wedding. Although the servers were nice, it was nearly impossible to get water from the servers so you're forced to go to the bar. When you try to get water from the bartenders then give you dirty looks because they'd rather be serving alcohol and get tips. I'll start off with rating the food. The Chicken was over seasoned with salt. The potatoes,however, had no taste at all. The vegetables were still partially frozen... The soup was pretty good and the bread rolls were pretty good as well. The salad was my favorite. The service was HORRIBLE! So I had just begun to eat my soup because they had JUST placed it on my table and about a minute or less later, there was a girl standing behind me picking up my plate and asking at the same time if i was done. "Umm does it look like i'm done?" When the salad arrived I got to put dressing on it but as soon as we were all done putting dressing on it they immediately took it off our table as if we were not going to want anymore... and the same thing happened with the salad .. the same girl was already taking our plate when i wasnt even done. Then came the main course plate. Chicken potatoes and vegetables. I couldnt eat my chicken because it was so salty or the vegetables because they were frozen... so i had potato... How sad is that? AND THE BEST PART! there was an hour left for us and they were already taking off table covers and decorations. OH! AND THE MANAGER WAS NOT NICE AT ALL! They had really nice center pieces and it was a nice hall but I will not recommend it at all because everything else was just horrible! read more

We had our 50th high school reunion here on October 5, 2013, and they were wonderful to work with from food to room set-up. The prices were so reasonable. We chose to have a buffet instead of a sit-down dinner and the food was great. They didn't have a big choice of wine, but no one seemed to care. I've known the owners for a long time, so when my daughter was looking for a place to have her son's graduation party, I recommended this place as I knew the food was outstanding. Had no idea that one of the waitresses assigned to our party that night would be so rude. I.e. trying to take plates of food away while people were still sitting at the table with fork in hand, coming around at 8:30pm (we had the room til 10pm) and telling people to put their drinks in plastic cups because 'the dishwashers want to go home', Taking our cake that I paid for and throwing it in the garbage. In her hurry to clean up so she could go home, she dropped a tray of glasses on the dance floor. The glass flew all over. I saw this and grabbed my grandchildren quickly off the floor and waited for someone to clean it up. A good 5 minutes later, I was angry because no one was cleaning up the glass. I went in back and asked if someone planned on cleaning up the glass as I had children out there. I was told by this waitress that she was cleaning her pants off first. Nice. I told her that I was going to let the owners know if this incident as it was unacceptable. So today, we call the owners and were told basically that we were lying and that the staff followed protocol. And that the owners were going to have to reconsider letting customers bring in their own cakes. Lol since when can't you bring your own cake in??? Especially for weddings, etc!! Ok folks....I don't care how good your food is, if the staff and service is this bad, and it was, bye bye Felicia. Never again. Don't tell me your my friend and then treat my party rudely and then call me a liar. read more

This place was Awful!!!! We had our Luncheon here after my father's funeral. We had the funeral call to change the number of people coming early in the morning and they did not accommodate at all. Our waitress was extremely rude when we asked for them to set up another few tables. She gave me, my mother and a few of our guest attitude throughout the day. Half the lights were not turned on because there was "a problem " They didn't bring bread right way. We ordered soda and then had to remind them to bring it out. They gave us plastic cups to serve it in. No bread plates. Didn't change the dinner plate to clean plates so you had to put your food on your bread crumbs. We tried to talk to the owner or manager and they also gave us an attitude when we told them about the service. No apology, just made excuses. This place is very unprofessional, unprepared and extremely rude. I highly recommend NOT to book your event here!!!!!!!!! I wouldn't even give it 1 star but it makes you!!! read more

We threw a quinceañera here. Food was actually very good I'd give it 8/10. The managers of the place were noticeably getting a bit angry when some of my guests were coming a bit later than the expected time. Anna and Lena were so helpful in making sure our wedding reception went exactly as planned. The food was delicious, the room was laid out perfectly and the waitstaff was very attentive. They even remembered special touches we'd planned, like setting aside a special bottle of scotch for my father-in-law. All of our personal items, like our cake knife and champagne toasting glasses, were put out and returned to us. Anna was there on site all afternoon and evening to make sure our wedding went off without a hitch, and it was great to have her there, helping guide us along. If you're considering hosting your next event there, do it!! read more

I just had one of the biggest events of my family at Villa Burinetti. Positives: The office staff worked hard on helping me and had great customer service. The banquet was nice with a lot of decor and an imagination it can turn out beautiful. The food was amazing... My guest loved the food. Negatives: The customer service was great but unfortunately with the exception of the servers on the day of the event. The servers only turned on fans once they were asked 3 times, air conditioner not on or not working enough to cool the space.. Water wasn't refilled unless they were asked for refills. The servers pretty much worked like robots. They only serviced us as we asked.. Not good. Since this place has at least 5 events a weekend. The servers should be better closers of the events. Never once was I approached if I needed anything or asked if everything was running smoothly. Besides the minimum negatives... I was happy with how my event turned out.. I thank Lana for her professionalism and would definitely recommend this banquet. read more

I have actually never eaten there before. My co-worker ordered the Hawaiian Pizza and boy was it delicious. Never had better Hawaiian. I live in Elmwood Park and work in Franklin Park so I am close enough to definitely go for more of their Hawaiian Pizza. read more
