I was assured by the manager (Monica) that it was. Unfortunately, for our 7 day trip, it was only working for 1 of the 7 days. All other days, it was frigid water, around 68-72 degrees, which made it completely un-swimmable. I spoke to other residents that were near the pool deck and all of them agreed that this was extremely cold and not tolerable. After calling to report this to the manager, she became extremely rude and snippy with me, even asking me, "Well, what did you come to Florida for... the pool or the beach? Did you really think your price for the resort includes a heated pool?" I couldn't believe how rude she was. Ok, let's talk about the resort itself... the check in process was quite frustrating as the manager was all over the place and kept giving me wrong information and didn't let me know how to access the pool gate, elevator, etc... When I went to check in, the room reeked of bleach as if the cleaning staff had doused it in the stuff. It took hours for the smell to dissipate. The rooms are very old and tiny/cramped. The shower frames are coming off the hinges and the master shower water doesn't even permit a hot temperature. The bathrooms are so small and tight that you can hardly fit in there. The room smelled musty as well. The master bed was like an old beat up cushion. It killed my back! The elevator to get up to the room (we were on the 3rd flood) was very old and rickety and took forever to go anywhere... if you tried to take the states, you would risk your health as they were extremely slippery and you had to nearly tip-tow down. When I called after our trip to report these frustrations, the manager continued to be very sarcastic and rude to me and then hung up. Having vacationed down in Ft. Myers Beach for 20 years, I know lots of places and I would never stay here again. Overpriced, doesn't deliver on promised amenities and is very old. Save your money and vacation and stay somewhere else!

This place was fantastic, it had everything a group of gals could need for a week of sand, surf, and sun. The condos at Pointe Santo are individually owned, therefore they are not all available for rent. We rented through Sanibel Holiday and were lucky to score a top floor unit. The unit itself had ALL the amenities of home. A fully applianced kitchen, washer/dryer, two bedrooms (slept up to 6), two bathrooms, dining area, living room with flat screen television, screened-in lanai, and since we were on the top floor... private rooftop access!! The view of the grounds from our outdoor space was gorgeous. 360 degrees of palm trees, beach, and open sky. Air conditioning and ceiling fans provided a sanctuary from the July mid-day heat. The grounds are impeccably maintained. Amenities abound... --Heated Pool and Jacuzzi (with adult swim times!) --Free Wi-Fi, easy-to-access and quick speeds --Community BBQ grills --Clubhouse that sells smoothies, ice cream, and other goodies --Dedicated parking spaces for each unit --Bicycle Racks, Tennis Courts, Shuffleboard, Kids Activities Two of my favorite things about this complex included the on-site lagoon as well as direct beach access. There is nothing better than waking up in the morning, eating breakfast on the roof overlooking the palm trees swaying in the island breeze surrounding the lagoon, then throwing a suit on and walking directly out to the beach. It made catching sunrises/sunsets, wildlife, and a great spot on the beach a breeze! There are complimentary lounge chairs at the pool and the beach, a station to wash off sand from shells (and yourself!), a even a beach volleyball court. As with the rest of the island, the grounds were full of wildlife - I spotted turtles, dolphins, rabbits, lizards, and all varieties of bird within steps of my front door. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Paradise for sure!

The unit has multiple opportunities for improvement. The decore is old, the rugs are stained, the layout is awkward and the second bathroom almost inaccessible. You'd have to be the thin man to get in. The oven and cooktop are old and do not work well. The kitchen is minimally stocked. The knives as dull, the cookware worn and so on. But my biggest pet peeve was with the giant light fixture hanging over the cooktop. All it did was accumulate grease and get in the way. The AC is a two ton unit, the condo is 2100 sq feet. It was very warm in the unit. I have never rented in Point Santo before dispite having been to Sanibel many times. If A37 is the best they have to offer I won't be renting there again. I must update my review on account of the fantastic service provided by the general manager and his…read morestaff. We were greeted the other morning and asked how we were going to enjoy the day. We replied that we were going to the beach. We were then informed of the pros and cons of the various nearby beaches and asked if we would like to borrow beach chairs and an umbrella. Extraordinary service made our stay exceptional!

Springhill Suites seems to check all the boxes. Good lobby, ok free breakfast (the usual suspects…read moreminus the waffles), the head of housekeeping was very attentive as she passed by. Well, if she is not the head, she should be. Asked me every time she saw me if I was ok, if I needed anything and if my stay was going ok. Her name is Gabby. Room nice and clean and the barn door on the bathroom is a nice update. The large walk in closet was pretty awesome as well. Keeps the room very neat when EVERYTHING can be out of site. We were here out of an emergency and had to stay in town a day extra and not a luxury but it made needing to stay in town another day not so bad with the hotel being what it needed to be and being able to accommodate us last minute.
