We love this place! My wife and I have gone to events there and the venue is simply beautiful and has so much space, both indoor and outdoor. The grounds have been extensively renovated since we last went, and they always seem to be adding new things. The staff is very attentive and kind and they took the time to show us around the entire place while we were there. And the owners are very nice people and are very welcoming, too. They have invited my wife and I to play piano and violin there many times. We definitely recommend Villa Toscana to anyone looking for a great event venue, especially a wedding. Working with the venue at first was easy, of course they are extremely nice to you when they are trying to get the wedding deposit. Once this happened it was like night and day. We were no longer the priority and it seemed like trying to get a hold of our wedding coordinator to was a mission, and every time we would get a hold of her to ask her questions she was only ever interested in nickle and diming us. I understand that the wedding industry is just unregulated price gouging, but you would have like to feel more like someone of value instead of just a money bag. Multiple unpleasant interactions lead us to try and contact the owner, John Svadbik. After multiple emails and phone calls, I still have never heard from him. This message is directly to John; your venue and your (good) staff - Jose and Alex, are amazing. You are what is holding back your venue. Stop being a cheap owner and staff yourself adequately, stop nickle and diming your guests, and take some accountability for your bad decisions. It was so bad that my wife and I were contemplating walking away from the Villa Toscana and losing the $10,000 we had already given to them for the wedding. A month or two before my wedding, we were informed that our coordinator was no longer with the venue and we were introduced to our new coordinator. She was very nice and we were just relieved to get rid of our previous coordinator. Things started well with her too, but she also became robotic and inflexible. Every time we asked questions regarding the music or the venue she would respond with a cut and paste from our contract stating these were the rules we signed and agreed to. 4 days before my wedding we are no longer receiving responses from our wedding coordinator... FOUR DAYS BEFORE OUR WEDDING. So i reach out to the venue, and they explain to us that she is no longer working with Villa Toscana. Would have been nice to know this instead of stressing for a week about our coordinator not responding. Thankfully we were in regular contact with Jose Barboza. The only consistent employee at Villa Toscana that actually tried to make us feel valued and cared for. He did his best to try and make our wedding feel special, and the best thing he did at this point was introduce us to our third and final coordinator Alex. And thank god for her she is an absolute angel. JOHN PAY HER MORE MY GUY. I promise more staff like Alex and Jose will make your guests feel special instead of like just another check in the bank. Alex took charge of our wedding with one day notice and absolutely rocked it. Did everything she can with a complete lack of resources and support. The wedding itself was beautiful. Again that venue is absolutely stunning and we loved and will always be in love with that venue, but they need to figure out their sound system. The band had trouble connecting to the equipment at Villa Toscana. They were not allowed to bring their own systems, and they had to connect to the venue, but they could not connect to the venues audio systems for 20 minutes. The venue also set up the band stage a good distance from the dance floor which was awful planning. Once they connected, the volume was extremely low. Like dinner at a restaurant low. It was so bad we asked the bad to stop playing. LUCKILY, even though the venue forbid us to bring our own sound system, our DJ brought his backup subwoofer and connected it and finally brought some life to the party. He was not supposed to bring that equipment, but no one was there to stop him because there was no Villa Toscana staff to be seen. Finally, after coordinating the Hora Loca and giving the venue all of our glow sticks and glasses and balloons to be given out at the time that the music starts and the lights are turned off. They were not ready for this moment. Alex was the ONLY PERSON on staff walking around handing out the glow sticks. She finished right in time for the last songs to come on. Again she was incredible. But she's only one person. The venue also owes me a deposit that was to be paid after 30 days if there was no damage to the property. Once I posted the reviews I was informed that I would not be receiving the deposit back if I did not take down the reviews. This is money that was contractually owed to me and I have the right to it without having to jump through anymore hoops. Still, I removed my post in good faith so they would return the money, and they only offered to return half of it. So be aware, it's not just a security deposit, it's a silence deposit. Visited this venue as a 2024 bride and I LOVED the venue. It was absolutely beautiful. I unfortunately had to go with another option but this place is truly out of this world. I would say it can get quite annoying because they will spam you trying to figure out if you will book with them or not. They also were booked out a year in advance. Some annoyances were that the location was truly in the middle of no where. Can't imagine driving over there at night. PLUS the bridal party can't come to the venue in the morning so you will have to get ready somewhere else. Can be an inconvenience but overall was impressed read more

VILLA TOSCANA IS A WEDDING VENUE FROM HELL--RUN FAR, FAR AWAY! If you're considering Villa Toscana for your wedding, let me save you the heartbreak, stress, and pure rage: DO. NOT. BOOK. HERE. This place is a dumpster fire wrapped in pretty landscaping. It's all a façade--behind the overpriced exterior is the most unprofessional, incompetent, and downright LAZY group of people you will ever have the misfortune of dealing with. Let's start with the fact that we have gone through FOUR wedding planners--FOUR. Not because we're difficult clients, but because this place is so mismanaged that their employees keep fleeing like prisoners escaping a collapsing dictatorship. We've been left in the dark time and time again, forced to chase down answers like beggars while they sit back and collect their ridiculous fees. Emails? Ignored. Calls? Useless. The "coordinators" here have the reliability of a broken clock--if a clock also actively worked against you and sabotaged your wedding. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if the next planner they assign us just vanishes into thin air like the others, leaving behind nothing but an auto-reply email and shattered dreams. The level of disorganization is borderline fraudulent--how is this place even still in business?! The owners clearly don't care about anything except taking your money and laughing all the way to the bank while you're left scrambling to pick up the pieces of what should be one of the happiest days of your life. I had my wedding at Villa Toscana on May 10, 2024, and unfortunately, the experience did not meet my expectations. The day was significantly impacted by issues that I felt could have been managed better. For example, my sisters had to help set up due to what I perceived as inadequate staffing. I observed only three staff members: my wedding coordinator, a bathroom attendant, and a security person who also drove me around in the provided carriage. There was ongoing construction at the venue, which I was not informed about in advance. The construction was visible to guests and appeared in our drone footage, which was disappointing and disheartening. When I inquired, management indicated it was not an emergency situation but part of efforts to improve the grounds. I requested what I thought was a reasonable 50% refund, which the manager verbally acknowledged as fair. However, the process took two months without resolution, and there was no written acknowledgment of this agreement, which felt unprofessional and frustrating to me. This experience has made me more cautious about how business interactions are documented. The venue differed from the tour; there was visible construction, dirt, and yellow caution tape. Promised features, like fireworks, were not provided, and instead, we were offered sparklers as an alternative. This was disappointing, as the fireworks were a key reason I chose the venue early on. Additionally, my DJ was not allowed to use his own equipment, which led to what I felt was subpar audio quality. The DJ company apologized, noting that neither of us was informed of this restriction until the day of the wedding. I also learned that the venue's preferred caterers, which we did not use, acknowledged using powdered Parmesan cheese and boxed mashed potatoes. This detail was concerning to me and something future couples might want to consider. This experience has been very stressful and upsetting. I hope to help other brides avoid similar issues. Get written confirmation that the venue will appear as it does during the tour on the day of your event. 3. Carefully consider your choice of venue to avoid potential issues. 4. We held our wedding reception on November 10, 2018, and we are still getting rave reviews from out guests about the venue at every family events for the past 4 years. We wanted to renew our vows here in 2023, for our surprise the venue have so many new things. We could not believe our eyes, The Laguna!! Everything is absolutely gorgeous. Starting off from the beginning, my husband and I toured this venue with Thelma back in January 2021. Thelma helped us create a package that fit our needs, and even though it was over budget we booked it just because of the constant reassurance that she would be there for us throughout the whole process and would make sure to make our dream wedding come true. Before booking, we worked out all the details and went through our contract. We agreed the $1k security deposit would be given by check the week of the wedding and returned no later then 30 days after the wedding. I booked the venue for 60 people. Thelma assured me this would include the groom and I, and 60 guests. As the wedding started to get closer, things would get worse. After Thelma, the venue coordinator was changed to Vicky, who I had little interaction with. Vicky assured me all of my vendors would be covered with food and seats at no extra cost. The coordinator was then changed to Jennifer. When Jenny came along, everything went downhill. She would tell me my package was "too cheap" and "could not believe they gave me this pricing." She was confused, and would tell me my package didn't include any rentals when it clearly did on the contract. She then argued that my vendors were not covered with food by them after Vicky clearly insisted they were. After sending her screenshots of proof, she didn't argue anymore. When my tasting came along, she told me I was permitted to bring 2 people with me, anyone else would be $30 extra. When I arrived, Jenny told me that I was only permitted one person and I would have to pay for the other person. I said no, and reminded her she told me I could bring 2 people. She stormed off and didn't say another word. After that, she sat down with us to go over the contract. She told me my package only included 60 guest and my husband and I were never included. I was shocked, how could my package that we were paying for not include my husband and I?! She insisted I would have to pay more for extra seats and extra food if my husband and I wanted to be included. She called the manager which was Alejandra at the time. She agreed with Jenny. I refused to pay more for something I was never told I would have to do. After I refused, Alejandra then decided to allow us to be included in our own package. After that, the flower vendors did not want to provide flowers for my cake. In my contract flowers on the cake were clearly included. I called jennifer multiple times on different days as well as texted and got no response. I had to call the manager which then took her about 3 days just for her to get in contact with the vendors and find a solution. Once again I had to bring out the contract in order to be believed. The icing on the cake was when a week before my wedding, the entire management changed. No one knew who I was. My personal wedding planner got in contact with the owner John. He insisted that my package didn't include ANYTHING. He said my package only included the venue itself. This was one week before my wedding. I was extremely stressed, they couldn't find a vendor for my food. For a few days I had no idea what would happen. My personal wedding planner was able to make sure they included what I payed for by sending proof of contract once again. On the day of my wedding, I was denied access to the bridal suite since they had a photoshoot going on. I had to wait outside and then was given the honeymoon suite to get ready in. I never was able to go to the bridal suite. Mercedes, the new manager was extremely straight forward at all times and showed no compassion. Now, more then a month later I had to spam Villa Toscana in order to get my security deposit back. STAY AWAY FROM THIS VENUE. They only care about MONEY. The customer service is absolutely horrible. My wedding was only able to happen thanks to my personal wedding planner. The management here doesn't care about you, they give empty promises.
