We just had a parking brake repair for a manual transmission car done today. My husband had a…read morenational chain look at that brake while we had an oil change awhile back. The national chain had quoted a $200 labor charge and plus a hefty part charge. As my husband and I like to spend local if we can, we decided to try Arnold and Son to see if it would be similar. I stopped in informally for an estimate on my own. They took the time to explain (in terms I understood) the possible causes and quote an estimate for each cause. They wouldn't know for sure the extent until they had the tires off and could get to the brake. As the estimates for each cause where very fair, we brought the car in today. It ended up being a minor adjustment and a very low price (small percentage of the national store estimate). In addition to performing the repair, they rotated our tires for free. They just said "we had them off anyways, so why not." It was just refreshing to be pleasantly surprised at the mechanic and 100% feel you were treated honestly. Would highly recommend.
