However, my experience with this shop was so disappointing that I feel obligated to warn others. In April 2026, my daughter's vehicle was diagnosed by this shop as needing a transmission rebuild. We were quoted up to approximately $3,000 and told the vehicle would be completed by April 24. We approved the repair because my daughter is a single mother who depends on her vehicle for work. When the shop finally contacted us, we were instructed to pay over the phone and pick up the vehicle from the parking lot after hours. We paid $3,195 including tax. Immediately upon starting the vehicle, there was a loud exhaust leak that was not present when the vehicle was brought in. The receipt left on the vehicle noted a "clunking sound" and that the flex pipe needed replacement. We also discovered missing clips and bolts under the hood. We paid out of pocket to replace the missing hardware and had to take it to another shop to repair the exhaust issue. The clunking noise continued to worsen. When we attempted to contact the shop, the voicemail box frequently stated that it was not accepting messages. Eventually, the motor mount failed while the vehicle was being driven, causing additional damage including the drive belt and crank pulley. The vehicle was towed back to the shop. It sat for approximately a week before being inspected. During the following weeks, we received conflicting information from different employees regarding parts availability, labor hours, repair costs, and timelines. At one point, I was told a part could only be found on eBay for $500. My husband was given a different explanation the same day. After he located multiple replacement options himself, the shop suddenly found a used part for significantly less. Most concerning was that we were never contacted with an estimate or asked to authorize additional repairs. Instead, we received a call stating the work had already been completed and that we owed $1,463. After disputing the charge, the amount was reduced to $1,171.50. The shop also informed us that the mechanic who had originally worked on the vehicle had been terminated. My biggest concerns are: * Poor communication throughout the process * Conflicting information from staff members * Repairs completed without prior authorization or approval of costs * Additional vehicle issues immediately following major transmission work * Lack of accountability when concerns were raised I understand older vehicles can have problems. My dissatisfaction is not because the vehicle was old. It is because of the way this situation was handled from start to finish. After spending more than $4,300 between the original transmission repair, follow-up repairs, towing, and related expenses, we were left feeling misled, frustrated, and taken advantage of. I would not return to this shop and cannot recommend them based on our experience.

I used several techniques to remove it, but was uneasy being too aggressive as it's my primary transportation. Once I described my issue, we discussed what might be keeping the rotor from coming off which I had already researched and satisfied I did everything I knew how to. To my surprise, they were able to get my 2020 Grand Cherokee in that afternoon as it was pretty busy. I left believing that it would be next day before it would be completed. I appreciated the conversation we had about possible issues with the E-Brake which is beyond just the brake replacement and possible additional cost. I didn't care at that point as I had enough messing with it! I received a call around 4:45 pm that same day my Jeep was ready to pickup. Turned out the rotor just took more force to knock it loose than I was willing to apply. Not only did they complete the repair same day, it was much less than expected. The first time was a standard oil change, the second time was getting a full set of new tires with an alignment and balancing and they repaired a broken tire pressure sensor. The alignment was done properly for the first time, probably ever in my 11 year old car, according to the tech. It was so rusted stuck that had to use a torch to heat everything up so it would release. And I just took it to a Toyota dealership less than 1 year ago for an alignment. When I told the staff this they said it looked like it had never been touched. So it seems to me that everyone else (Toyota and firestone) besides Overbeck wanted to stay on schedule, not getting behind, and just did the bare minimum. And let me tell you what- my car drives like it's new again. The third time was 2 days after my tire pressure sensor was replaced- I took it back in to have it looked at becuase the low tire pressure light came back on. They told me the one they replaced was only intermittently working and was therefore defective. So they replaced it for free and sent me on my way. The best part about this? They have a line that they text confirm your appointment, send quotes to, etc. I send a text to this number around 10pm on a Wednesday to try to secure an appointment early the next day. To my surprise, someone wrote back and told me to bring it right in in the morning, no appointment necessary. When I got there, they said "we're dropping everything to get you on your way", And even offered me a loaner car for the day, knowing I had to get to work. I declined because I had the capability to work in their cozy lobby on their wifi network. I feel like I'm truly treated like family here, they even greeted me by name today (which I find impressive since I've only been here three times). I'm so so satisfied. I just happened to come across this place because I got a coupon in the mail for an oil change. I'm so glad I decided to bring my car here. They want to make sure they're doing the best work possible and making sure they have happy clients.

They picked the wrong woman. I called about brake pads. Without even physically inspecting or diagnosing my vehicle, Mike somehow turned that into thousands of dollars' worth of supposedly necessary brake-system repairs. I was given an elaborate explanation about everything that allegedly needed to be replaced, with my German-made vehicle repeatedly being used to justify the outrageous cost. Thankfully, my husband heard what I was being told and immediately questioned it. Instead of allowing Overbeck's to scare me into spending thousands of dollars, I took my vehicle directly to an actual BMW dealership. And here is where Overbeck's lost every ounce of credibility with me: BMW fixed my brakes for approximately ONE-THIRD of what Overbeck's wanted and confirmed that the extensive work I had been told I needed was NOT necessary. Read that again. The actual BMW dealership charged me a fraction of the price. After this experience, I would NEVER recommend Overbeck's--particularly to women who may not be familiar with automotive terminology. What I experienced felt less like someone educating a customer and more like someone banking on the possibility that I wouldn't know enough to challenge what I was being told. Women are not walking blank checks. We are not stupid. And not knowing the intricacies of a braking system does not give anyone permission to throw thousands of dollars of unnecessary repairs at us and expect us not to ask questions.
