When I was thinking about the review I was going to write for the Village Auto Spa, I was trying to think of things that I they could do better. This is just your average car wash, but every time I have gone to see them, they have done an excellent job. When you drive into the location and veer towards the car wash, you are politely greeted by one of the attendants. You tell them what you want, and that's about it. If you are like me, and do a lot of highway driving, then you probably have bugs on the front of your car. Each time I go I asked them to use the pressure wash on the front of my car to try and get some of those bugs off, and it usually works. After you are done with your wash, you drive your car around toward the exit where you are greeted by someone who will dry your car. Now, I know we have all been there where you are not sure if you should tip, how much you should tip, how you're going to be if you are "that guy". Well, the Village Auto Spot does not allow for tipping so you don't have to worry about that awkward moment. Next to the spot where you get your car dried there is a two car garage where you can get extra services. I have never used any of their services as I usually wax my own car, but when I have a peek inside it always looks very nice in there. Also, while you are waiting for your car you can go and wait in their lobby... or so it seems. Either that, or there are just random people standing in their lobby looking over at the detailing spot. As a side note, if you go before 10 AM you can get a dollar off. Five dollars for their basic wash is a pretty good deal! read more

Wish I could give negative stars! One of the absolute worst car washes I have ever been to! Paid for their "Platinum" wash, first time through ripped my antenna off my truck and buckled my fender! on top of that dirt still all over the wheel well and running boards and down the bed side! during the "hand drying" they told me "yea sometimes our machines are a little rough and rip them off" So why isn't this mentioned and warned ahead of time for customers to remove?? all they did was offer for me to go through again due to the mud! 2nd time through still mud and dirt!! then they had the nerve to tell me "well when we are slower we make sure we focus on those areas" THEN WHY AM I PAYING FULL PRICE FOR HALFA$$3D effort?!?!? After complaining they told me "I suggest you just go to another car wash" ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF AND THEY DESTROY YOUR VEHICLE WITH ZERO CARE! DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE. this car wash left our truck with scratches, that are very clearly in a line and from the brushes, all down the passenger side. And the cherry on top the staff and owner were so condescending and rude. They would not take any responsibility. They inferred several times in the conversation that my husband lied about the source of the scratches. We are honest and local here and we are just in complete shock that this happened and how it was handled. The scratches are so deep and cannot be buffed out. Passing along in hopes of saving your paint job and your wallet. read more

I went there today around noon. Went through the process and was in the bay getting towel dried. I noticed a huge smear on the back window. I rolled the window down and asked was the big old smear across the back window. Tyler said go! I thought he didn't here me so I asked again. He said go get the fu** out of here. There's other customers waiting. I said what did you say to me. He responded to me saying he didn't give a fu** because he was leaving and to get the fu** out of hear. I pulled out and went to the office and asked for a manager. Of course there was no manager there today. The gentleman that was helping refused to get the message to the manager until they came in in the morning. So long story short Tyler made a horrible experience. What a rip off!!!! Did not do what what they said. Paid $25+ $5 tip for full service and the kid that worked there told me to go auto zone to buy stain remover and do it myself. Worst full service place I have been to. See picture below. If they cannot get the bug stain off tell me before I spend $25+$5. Thought they had a full service wash but it turns out they only do full-service on certain days, after a three minute quick wash, and a 30 second dry off the Person drying off my car straight in front of my car requesting a tip-really for 30 seconds of drying off my car you want to tip? after spending $25 on the diamond wash plus full service it started raining. very disappointing to find out they don't offer any rain guarantees especially under premium wash. I have use this car wash at least once a month if not more for the past several years. Great quality car wash that is also open in the winter. Nice to be able to blast the salt away between snowstorms. The towel dry area is enclosed, so nobody gets frozen. read more

Long lines move fast. Wash does a better job than most others at getting the car clean. Friendly staff. Doesn't allow tipping.

The wash was decent, although overpriced. However, what really bothered me was the service. John greeted me and rang me up, but then lost his temper on me as I brought my car onto the belt. He screamed at me to put my car in neutral when it ALREADY was. Like, literally screamed. He needs to chill. It's because of him that I won't return to this car wash. read more

I visit this car wash regularly, at least once per week. I had my vehicle washed today and it is now covered in frozen soap. I called the shop and asked if they would please re-wash my soap covered vehicle (which now looks worse than it did before my visit) and was told that I washed at my own risk--this message coming from the owner. The gal on the phone also mentioned that they had had a high volume of complaints and were not responding to any of them. It is so unfortunate that a business that I regularly spend my dollar at refused to treat their customers well. I will no longer visit this car wash spot, and I would advise anyone else to do the same. Obviously the owner is more interested in making a buck than providing quality service in his/her car wash. read more

Must say first off, my auto was rather dirty. The washing was ineffective on the curved areas. The massive cloth strips played havoc on my side mirrors. The extra $2 wax application did not seem to do anything let alone make it shiny. Lastly the finishing hand drying was useless, large areas of dirt where clearly visible, don't see how they were missed, especially on a white vehicle. Wash was fast, but mine was the only one there. Also ineffective tire washing. So went home and washed it again myself. Although the $7 (had coupons) "pre-wash" did make it a lot easier. Thanks for that. read more

Very poor customer service by the manager/owner. My windshield broke while in the car wash. I sat there and watched it happen. Speaking to the owner was like talking to the wall. No customer service skills what so ever. Just said take me "small claims court." He lost a very good customer just by his attitude. read more

We had the interior detail done, and they barely did more than wash the windows and dust. Very little effort was put into really cleaning the inside door handles, carpet, seats. Very little. You really could not tell it was cleaned on the inside. Would not recommend this service for anyone read more

They do great work and the line moves pretty quickly. Prices are decent and you can save your receipts to get a free wash after so many purchases. I would recommend going here! read more

Horrible. Evidently they don't clean their brushes. My daughter took her brand new car through the wash and something chipped the paint. She went in and told them about it right then. The manager called her this morning and was a jerk to her. 'How do we know it wasn't there before?' Because it's a brand new car!!!! Thanks for doing the right thing as a business. She wasn't asking for a new paint job , just to have the scratches fixed. read more

I went here because I had heard that they would clean the interior of the car and wash for $25. Sound too good to be true? It is. They may have washed the windows, but not done much else to the interior. They did clean the area that can hold loose change or other items in the center counsel, but did not clean either cup holder. I have molded weathertec mats. In the front it looked like a wet rag was wiped across once as it all looked muddy. Drove next door to Walmart and noticed dried streaks on the back hatch. Definitely not worth it and won't be returning. read more

The Village Auto Spa is a really good car wash.....when the boss is there. He is there most of the time. He gives your car those little extras, like directing you into the slot so you don't rub your tires, an initial wand wash on the front and rear, and even gives your dog a biscuit. The tip-less towel dry is another nice feature. When the boss is gone, it's a completely different ball game. The employees are on their cell phones ignoring the customers, don't give you any directions, no wand pre-wash, and they forget to dial in the type of wash for which you paid. Yesterday, I ordered the "Platinum" was for $13 which includes tri-color wax and rainex, but got neither. I got the $6 basic wash instead. I will take this up with the boss later when I see him. I suppose that's the best you get with the car wash employee class. Anyway, I rate the place 5 stars when the boss is there, but only a 1 star when he's away. Fortunately, that isn't often. read more
