This is a great beach shop. I was looking for gifts for a new baby niece and had sooo much to choose from. Very friendly staff as well.

I was vacationing at Emerald Isle and needed a place to find some souvenirs and gifts for the folks back home. The Village Beach Mart had every I needed. They stock everything from swimsuits and beach chairs to boogie boards and all sorts of beach-themed novelties. Not to mention all the t-shirts and hoodies. On this day I got a hoodie with a free Emerald Isle iron-on. There isn't much this doesn't carry and it's very close to one of our favorite eating establishments. A win-win all around! read more

We went in to check it out for our first stop on vacation, first thing we noticed was that all of the hermit crabs in the tank were dead. like 10 hermit crabs with no water, out of their shells and dead. Very upset, DO NOT BUY THE LABUBUS AT THE FRONT OF THE STORE!!!!!!! THEY ARE FAKE, REPLICAS! not genuine labubus. They look real, and I even asked the workers if they were and they said they didn't know but people buy them all the time. So I spent about $100 on 3 of them, just to have an expert point out that they are fake. You can verify they are fake by the QR codes on the boxes. The owner knows this and is selling them anyways. Taking peoples hardworking money! If you're going to sell replicas fine, but tell your employees so they can let customers know they are not genuine Labubus. I reached out via messenger to the owner and the stores page so they could make it right and got no response. So here I am warning others. Could've spent my money on real ones that I saved up money for and instead got knock offs that ALMOST look like the real thing. Ridiculous. read more

Been going to the ice cream shop for about two years and they've always had amazing customer service especially the owner, she is so sweet!

this place is selling hermit crabs that are crammed in a tiny "tank" with no space and toxic painted shells. in 2023, this shouldn't be happening. it's disgusting and horrible, some of these crabs being very large and ripped out of their natural territories to suffer and die here. do not support this business. read more

went there a couple time while camping near there it is pretty cramped and they do have hermet crabs cramped in a tank but overall the store has alot of options to choose from and the staff that was there were pretty nice and they have shirts in mostly all sizes read more

Went into this place today and bought a beach umbrella for my baby. Got to the beach and the damn thing was ripped around the top. Brought it back and could not find the receipt but showed them on my phone / account where I paid and clearly has their business name. The person/ little girl working the place was a piece of work. Rude and no business working with the public. I finally found my receipt. Still would not give me a refund. They replaced it with another 32.00 trash umbrella. People do not waste your time or money with this place. Stay far away. I'd rather go to Walmart that I hate so much. So this goes to show how this place is. read more

No different than the dozens of other beach shops. Here's a generic review which pretty much applies to all the places who sell beach equipment, but I gave an extra start do for not being a chain (or at least not appearing to be one). This place sells the following and you know that you'll stop at some place like this during your vacation: Henna Tattoos, Iron-on Shirt designs with mildly sexual suggestions which are appropriate for 13-year-old boys yet purchased by older people, beach towels including the prerequisite Budweiser logo and the Confederate flag (let's please give up on this, it's offensive to at least 30% of Americans), bathing suits for guys and gals of all ages, beach chairs and umbrellas with a strict return policy, shells imported for somewhere else, sunscreen, shirts/shot glasses/photo frames with "insert beach name here", three-letter oval car stickers to show your friends at home and anyone tailgating you that you've been to the beach, sunscreen, crap for the kids for either digging in the sand or entertaining them when it rains, floats, blow-up boats, noodles and skim boards. Top ten music blares from the speakers and good looking kids restock the goods while older owner mans the register. Prices are in-check thanks to lots of competition close by. read more

Sad to say but customer service is low. A customer gave me more help than they did. Gosh, just looking for pirate stuff. It's July, not September. They made me feel stupid and a bother for asking. The other two I visited and purchased items from on Emerald Drive are so much more customer service related. read more

I should have read the reviews first - the workers are crazy and rude and they don't care at all, they feel unimpeachable. She claimed to be the owner but I'd be shocked if that were true. After spending 30 minutes looking for matching hoodies for my family I approached the counter to get them printed. The man chose the wrong decal and made me go back to get a new hoodie which they didn't have my size. The lady at the counter seemed uninterested in helping me figure out the matching prints between the kids and adult patterns, when she sensed my frustration she actually went off on me completely! My five year old was with me the whole time. I think it was completely inappropriate the level of anger that came out of her over my slightly flustered moment. Also I'm the customer so I would have expected some compassion and maybe a little help?!She was so incredibly rude I would never recommend this place to anyone read more

Refused to sell a display inflated float when many other inflated floats are available for sale. Dumb Policy.

Beware of this place.Went there and bought a number of boogie and skim boards. 3 days later noticed the finish was coming off one of the boards after a couple times of use.
