Have you guys heard of a stuffed bagel? I hadn't either until Giovanni himself explained how they take the bagel dough and mold it around whatever you want before they bake it. Let me tell you what, this was delicious. I got the bacon egg and cheese stuffed bagel with Asiago and garlic and onion on the top. Giovanni threw in a jalapeño cheddar bagel for us to try and *chefs kiss* This was the best bagel I've ever had. If you're in or around Emerald Isle, be sure you check out Giovanni's Brooklyn Bagels! bacon egg and cheese stuffed bagel Jalapeño and cheddar bagel

Hidden gem in the very back of the shopping center which may make it quite difficult to find for first timers, but just follow the signs! Freshly baked with great chewy texture that I love. The cashier was very helpful and polite. The service was quick. Very small shop but welcoming environment and view with turtles swimming out back.

I'm always on the hunt for a good local bagel wherever I am, and Giovanni's did not disappoint. Hidden away in the strip mall behind a food lion, was the best bagel I've ever had. The service was great, and the cashier was the sweetest girl. I definitely felt like I was in Brooklyn when I walked in, quick and easy, and it felt like. I was in a large NY deli! The bagel was huge compared to grocery store or chain bagel stores. The bagel itself was the perfect kind of soft and chewy, but not too soft and chewy. Each ingredient on the bagel was cooked to perfection and you could taste them all individually. The bacon jalapeño cream cheese was superb. It wasn't spicy at all, but still had the nice warmth of a pepper with a little smokey bacon. Overall, they had a great selection of bagels, pastries, and cooler drinks (sodas, juice, etc), and great coffee (iced or hot), and the bagels were nothing short of excellent and filling. We'll definitely be back!

We found this spot last year. It was hidden in the inside of the mall and there is no access from the back of the mall. They make coffee and have can drinks including sunny d, apple juice, tea. The bagels were soft. We both had everything bagels. Definitely worth visiting while we are on vacation. There is seating on the deck and hallway outside the restaurant. Service was quick and friendly. They just call your name when your order is ready. Variety of specialty cream cheeses.

Just left NY and so glad to get an NC BAGEL from Giovanni's Brooklyn Bagel. Yep, NY taste in NC. Two sites now and maybe more, I am hopeful. Save an everything and plain for me. Cheese for the hubs.

We went to the Morehead City location. When you walk in your greeted by friendly people and the bagels were great. Just for take out no seating, but they offer the place next door outdoor table. We also bought 2 cinnamon buns for later and those were a little disappointing dry, they needed some icing.

    Monster Bagel sandwich!

Very confused. I called and the guy tried to sell me weed. Must've been an employee, but very odd.

Great place! Great lox with capers, etc. Fresh, flavorful bagels! As close to NY as you can get in this area.

Shepherds Pie was wonderful and the Corn beef and cabbage had extra special flavor. Great job Chef! What beautiful scenery of the inter coastal water, and warmth of the sun in the background. We recently moved to the area and chose Saltwater Grill to celebrate a special family occasion,…read morehoping it would become one of our new favorite restaurants. Instead, it was one of the most disappointing dining experiences we've ever had. From the beginning, things felt off. Our server was wearing basketball shorts, which seemed completely inappropriate for the atmosphere and setting of the restaurant. The wait for our food was excessive, and when it finally arrived, it was almost entirely inedible. The food was cold, the broccoli was essentially raw, the rice and risotto looked and tasted nothing like they should, and every meal at the table was disappointing. For a bill of over $300, not a single person in our party left satisfied. To make matters worse, we noticed the restaurant had a B sanitation rating, which certainly didn't inspire confidence after the quality of the meal we received. The waterfront location is beautiful, but that's where the positives end. When you're paying premium prices for a special celebration, you expect quality food, attentive service, and a memorable experience. Unfortunately, we got none of those. We won't be returning, and I couldn't recommend Saltwater Grill to friends, family, or anyone looking for a nice meal in the area.

Kistler Chardonnay, and a canned beet salad?…read more I wrote a review of Boro about 8 years ago, it may be interesting to go out and compare the two. I have to say my wife and I are confused by our latest dinner experience more than anything. We could not get into Il Cigno Italiano, a fantastic restaurant (I recommend to the eggplant meatballs), who suggested we visit their "sister site" Boro. We love Il Cigno and thought, wow this going to be great. I did not realize the two were related under one organization. Like all my reviews, I try very hard to keep drama and non factual commentary out as much as possible. I focus on setting expectations based on my experience. Ambiance - Boro has changed since we were there last. The bar was walled off from the main dining more than before. The walls were empty with no art or really anything... pretty sterile...not a romantic setting, but more of a family setting. In fairness, they may be remodeling, I did not ask. One last critical item, we were sitting under a HVAC wall unit, that leaked on us through the meal. I would have asked to move but we moved to the far end of the booth, it was fine then. The outdoor patio is still nice though, and is fun to go watch bands and relax listening to music. We do this frequently as we are "locals". Service - our waitress was attentive, very nice and did check on us. The hostess was great, and was able to seat us right away. So service was pretty spot on. ....except, I am no longer paying credit card service fees that are not verbally noted when I sit down (small print on the menu does not count). These fees, have been added as "Covid era" item to help restaurants. I had no issue with it then, however, we are not in Covid anymore. I run a business and feel this is a cost of doing business and needs to be in the pricing (more helpful for customers) or absorbed. 3% is well over $200 per year for our eating out budget. Food - this is where I left scratching my head. My wife and I both ordered the Beet Salad. It read on the menu it had arugula, butter nut squash and a combination of greens. When it arrived, there was very little arugula, very sparse squash and it had canned beets on it. The greens were very scarce, more of a garnish than a salad amount. At best it looked like it was a small side salad, not a dinner salad. It was not a good price point for what we received in my opinion. However, the Tuna Takati was nicer for $15 and much closer to an Il Cigno level of offering. Another strange dynamic was they offered Kistler Chardonnay, which runs for about $90 a bottle. It is a world class wine, but Im not sure how well it matches the restaurant, or the level and quality of the food we were severed. In summary, if I was the owner of Il Cigno I would be hesitant to send folks to Boro who may looking for an Il Congo experience. In fairness, I did not ask about decor or the HVAC. However, the food is not at par for the pricing or the quality I would expect after eating at Il Cigno.
