I was sitting on their spacious patio, so it was melting fast and I was trying to eat it as quickly as it was melting. I would have preferred to been able to slowly eat it and truly enjoy the rich flavor of the custard and strawberries. However, sipping on the melted custard with the chunks of chocolate, did make for a nice treat, too. I'm coming back to try some of the food. The inside dining room was filled with senior citizen couples enjoying lunch. If it's good enough for them, I am confident I'll enjoy it, too. I just did a single cheeseburger, crinkle fries and a medium Root Beer. Big bonus, they make their own Root Beer. If you're not into RB, Charlie's a Pepsi diner. They also have fresh lemonade. Once I ordered, I took a seat at one of the many picnic tables with my glass of Root Beer. As I waited, the place filled up with picnic table diners and several eating in their cars. I shared my PT with a mother and daughter, so be prepared for communal dining. I ordered my burger with no tomato and a huge slice of tomato was on my burger. It was easy to remove, but I will say I was impressed at the thick cut. If someone likes tomatoes, they would have been thrilled. My burger was a decent size and the bun was super fresh. They were not stingy with the pickles and onions, so it added flavor, to the bland beef. Yep, I was not impressed with the ground beef used to make the burger. Ground Beef just is tasting different these days. The fries were the fattest crinkle fries I have ever seen. They were fried super crispy and had minimal salt, so they were perfect to me. The service was good, but not friendly like I would have expected at a mom and pop business. They're still new, so I'll give them a break and hope they warm-up as time passes. We both had the country fried steak and biscuits, Karla with scrambled eggs and American fries, basically seasoned fries cut into cubes. She didn't care for the seasoning but she's admitted picky with a very low tolerance for spicy food. I had mine with traditional hash browns and eggs over easy. I've had better country fried steak but it was decent and the meal was otherwise great. Everything was served on one plate, just the way I like it, allowing me to mix things up with my hash browns and biscuits. The biscuits are served on the side of the plate, not topped with gravy in case you'd rather have butter and/or jelly on your biscuits, and they were hot and fluffy with good flavor. It was a very filling meal. The wait staff were great, friendly and responsive. We'll be sure to return to try other items from their impressive menu.

The granny grilled cheese was the perfect mix of sweet and savory that I adore. It was a little messy to eat, but I was eating by myself at home so I didn't care. The tomato soup was the perfect addition to a snowy day. it was warm and flavorful. The cheesecake was also delicious. I got the mini one so I could convince myself I was being healthy but wish I would have gotten a full sized slice because of how delicious it was. I got my order to go for a couple different reasons but one is that they don't have the largest inside seating area and it tends to get pretty full. It's nice to come on a summer day because they have a pretty large outdoor seating area that you wouldn't be able to use in the winter is parking but there's a lot of spaces in the area.

My first visit was fairly close to closing time, so I just grabbed a couple of their pastries and went on my way. One of them that I grabbed was a, Strawberry Postcard. It's a buttery house-made puff pastry with strawberry filling and vanilla glaze. I was in love after the first bite. This is one postcard I would love to receive on a daily basis. The other pastry I tried was, Jelly Donut Focaccia Bread. It's a big square (can be shared) of lightly sweetened focaccia bread filled with seedless raspberry jam and topped with vanilla bean glaze. It taste just like a jelly donut. I am not a fan of jelly donuts, but this has me rethinking my likes and dislikes. It's a winner. My second visit, has me reevaluating my choices of breakfast out. When I arrived, every table was taken They have limited seating, two deuce tables and three that can seat four diners. Hopefully when the true warmer weather arrives, they add a few tables to the outside in front of the restaurant. Since there was no table, I got my food to go and enjoyed it before starting work. I ordered their Basic Breakfast which has, two eggs any style, fried potatoes, meat of choice and either Sourdough Toast or a Biscuit. I had my eggs scrambled and since their sausage is patty, I choose that as my meat. I was impressed that the sausage was hand pressed and not the typical perfectly shaped disc. It had a true country flavor to it. I also liked how my scrambled eggs were white & yellow. So many diners whip them until they are only a light yellow. They were perfectly seasoned with salt and pepper. For my bread, I went with the Sourdough Toast, because I also ordered B&G. The toast was lightly toasted, I would have liked mine a little darker, but the Jalapeño Jelly kicked ass. I want an entire bottle of that stuff. The Biscuits and Gravy would make any Grandma or farmers wife proud. I grew up on a farm and I can tell you, these are some of the best B&G's I have ever had. The biscuits are huge, fluffy and they were drowning in a rich brown sausage milk gravy. My eyes were way bigger than my already big tummy. I felt guilty not cleaning my plates, but my taste buds still did a happy dance. Their staff is friendly, my first visit the young gentleman on my first visit was kinda shy and quiet. However, the young lady on Saturday, knew customer service and was working that front counter like a champ. Three Crows is closed Monday and Tuesday.
