It's art-fair quality work that ranges from photography, oil, acrylic, pencil, and ink to blown glass and rad patched up jean jackets. Artists include Danielle Lopez, Carolyn Garay, Erin Curry, Lora Mosier, Lauren Bolinger, Jamie Tippie, Cory Randal, Jed Collins, Jason Frederick, and Kit Karbler with new and exciting artists being added all the time. Danielle is also a fantastic photographer that can meet you on location to film or photograph your exciting vacation memories. I recently attended an Ecstatic Dance drum circle event at the studio that was led by Dr Harry Pepper and his drum troupe Spiral Rhythm. It was such an exciting and freeing experience, to be dancing and surrounded by awesome art. I can't wait for the next one. I did skip 1 of the night swims though. Lots of a variety of panels (as shown by the schedule pictures). It's best to buy tickets while on sale in January. Badge pick up is pretty busy the first day, but it moves pretty quick and is easy any time after. Lines tend to be longest for the otaku market and craft fair. Dealer's room and artist alley are varied yet roomy. This con is actually pretty well priced since it's a popular venue and big events. The wrestling tournament is also extremely popular. List goes on, but basically there's something for everyone.

But it is worth it as it is definitely one of the BEST places that host art festivals/fairs at least a dozen or so times a year. Support local and keep up the good work! My only suggestion is to avoid parking nearby and just walk to 78th Street Studios until they respray the parking lot lines and fill in some of the potholes...

The 78th Street Studios is a huge arts studio that also has a theatre on the 2nd floor called the Blank Canvas Theatre. I visited for the first time probably in 2018 or 2019 then I came in 2023 and so on. I've attended their 3rd Fridays art event plus some plays at the Blank Canvas Theatre. It's always nice walking around 78th street studios. It can get a little overwhelming because the building is so big and you may get lost but just follow the signs posted on the walls to find out where you're going. Chuck started developing the 10-acre garden in 2000 and it's been growing with sculptures ever since. In total there are two studios, two galleries, and a ten-acre sculpture garden. In the galleries, you can purchase art and until most galleries, Chuck encourages his guests to touch (but not pick up) the sculptures and feel their smooth surfaces. The sculptures are made from limestone, marble, and Glacial Erratics from around the island. Parking is available off of Dwelle Lane.
