Joe Soukenik and his team spent a great deal of time designing and ultimately building the most perfect wedding ring for Veronica. We are now married. The Ring: The ring is rose gold with a modified, diamond lined infinity band. The 1.0 karat round diamond sits elevated on top. Folks, this is the most attractive ring anyone of our peers have ever seen. it is NOT a 20,000$ ring, yet Veronica's ring gets compliments more than those who have far more expensive rings. Why? it is because Rivchun and Sons know what they are doing. It is the woman whose finger the ring is on... It is the custom work... and lets face it, the high grade diamonds make a huge difference. First experience... I came out from Los Angeles, as my brother and relatives in the past have used Rivchun. The Rivchuns are now the Soukeniks, and Joe Soukenik is the master jeweler and owner. Been there for most of his life, smiling with thanksgiving. His staff is friendly, all of them are into what they do. Without exaggeration, Joe Soukenik has probably brought hundreds of individuals in to his windowed office and has spent the great expense of time with them explaining Diamonds (gradations, shapes, ratings, and all the rest). He took Veronica and I into his office and spent an hour and a half with us. He is so excited about his work, and you can tell that it isn't a rouse. He would've spent 5 hours with us if we had that many questions. We left with greater understanding. Joe is a disarming, attentive person. He also has that great Cleveland work ethic that few folks know about. We live in LA, grew up in Cleveland. i'll tell you, I don't know one Clevelander that doesn't consider a work week to be less than 50+ hours. The best, and they pride themselves on their work, which is why Clevelanders set a high bar for the businesses they patronize. In LA, we give thanks if an employee says hello. Joe, thank you for your endless patience. At no point did your tail feathers get ruffled, as I know I delayed and kept changing ideas. Anyways, we are so happy to be established with you all. Joe has recently been blessed (and he knows it) to have his son Jack join the team. Jack is a younger version of Joe and emits the same high vibes. Rare. While it may exist, I know of no other jeweler that will treat each customer with the same respect and same price point. I am not the most trusting when it comes to jewelers. I checked out everything claimed here, and voiced skepticism. Rivchun holds up and they are smart because they do what they love and beleive in great service. The Parking is simple, for being in a historic downtown Cleveland building. you simply park on the 3rd or 4th floor in the parking garage next door, and there is a skywalk to the City Club building. Fun. Bonus: For our wedding, they loaned Veronica these jaw dropping barcelona diamond earrings (potato chip shaped). It is these things that make a big difference. Two weeks later I stopped in after hearing nothing from John. Was told it was next in line to be done, and the next day it was done. We picked up the ring, but were told the appraisal was not ready. I was told to have my insurance company contact John via e-mail and he would forward the info to the insurance company so we could receive a quote and insure the ring. The insurance company never received the information it needed. Two weeks go by and I stopped in the store again and asked for the appraisal and diamond report. He said he was behind on his paperwork but to have my insurance company contact him. I said I already did that and my wife is afraid to wear the ring because we still have no insurance for it. He apologized and said he would get that appraisal done right away. That was over three weeks ago and still nothing! Frustrated with multiple requests for the appraisal and diamond report, and wanting to wrap up this already five week old transaction, we ended up paying for an appraisal from another local jeweler which was done in one day! Wouldn't you know it the appraisal was for less than we paid for the ring.But at this point whatever, we insured the ring and are putting this bad experience behind us. We have since heard of similar bad experiences with this store from others. Buyer Beware.
