***UPDATE*** Stopped…read moreback in. Ordered the "Dirty Martini Burger." Hey! Morenci Pub! Here's your fifth star!! This amazing burger, with its olive aioli, manages to walk that tight rope between " unique specialty burger," and "traditional American cheeseburger" perfectly. It was awesome. So the first line of my original review is wrong. At this point I am advocating that you roll all the way out to Morenci just for a burger! ***ORIGINAL REVIEW*** No. I'm not advocating that you roll all the way out to Morenci just for a burger...BUT, if you happen to be passing through town, and you're hungry, you should definitely stop here. Not including the five (5!!!) dispensaries in this little southern Michigan burg, I think the pub is the only place in town devoted to serving mind altering substances...and burgers. "The Works" (see pic) comes with fries and all the standard burger toppings. It's simple, it's basic, and it is a burger TOTALLY done right! Perfectly cooked patty? Yep. Fresh veggies? Perfect combo of condiments? You got it. Fresh soft brioche bun. Sho'nuff. Draft beer? Basic American waterbeer, and, Two Hearts. More stuff available in bottles, but I didn't check these out. Atmosphere: Damn, I walk into what I figured was going to be a shitkicker bar, and California Love is playing. Follow that with Lil' Wayne. Perfect. I didn't expect that. This place is very cozy, and although I was definitely an outsider, I wasn't treated that way. Everybody was friendly. So...would I personally drive all the way back out here just for a burger and a Coors light?? Yeah. I would. The Morenci pub may not be perfect, but it's perfect for what it is! 4 stars! I'm planning to try some more of the food...maybe a fifth star is on the way.

Great low key atmosphere. Plenty of seating and very friendly staff. Came during late lunch time,…read more or very busy but the place gave me the awesome late night vibes too. Clean bar and tables - this is a must for me. I'd definitely come back.

Sullivans was so good we went back for dinner after eating there at lunch! We tried a pasta dish,…read morethe French onion soup, the Reuben, and a steak... and a twist on their brownie/ice cream dessert! Everything was great! (I'm normally a 4 star reviewer unless the place knocks me out of my shoes, and this one did...TWICE!) We really enjoyed the waitstaff there as well. Everything there was really good. The atmosphere was very upscale/classy... but not stuffy! Definitely a great option!!

Update to my below review!! The below review was prior to me realizing that I had forgotten my…read moredebit card at Sullivan's the next day. Unfortunately they were closed on Sunday so I had to call into my bank and cancel my card. While reviewing the transactions, I realized the amount they had authorized to my card was $10 more than our bill+tip. I used to be a server and worked at a bank so I know how authorizations work so I patiently waited until it cleared. My worst fears were confirmed! Not only did she not return my debit card after payment, apparently she was upset with her 12% tip and added a 1 to my tip to make it +$10! I called pretty upset on Monday afternoon and talked to a manager named Collin who seemed to not care about the issue. No apologies, only to promise to talk to the owner to see if they could do something for me since I lived out of state. I waited until Friday to call them back and was told by the hostess that Natalie would be calling me back later as she was on a call. She did call back about 1 1/2 hours later and said she had already refunded my card for the $10 and that she had looked at the receipt and it appeared I had issues writing with the pen so she could see how the server (Caitlyn) could have thought the tip was $16. 25! I let her know I had no issues with the pen and anything other than my 6.25 on the receipt was added by her server. I told her I was worried for all of the other tables where she had given bad service to and she had done the same thing. She said the server already gave the store back the $10 and apologized for the confusion. Sorry, there was no confusion here! I do truly appreciate Natalie with apologizing for the issue and refunding the money but I would never go to this place and if you do, I would make sure your server wasn't named Natalie. I changed my rating from a 4 to a 1 due to this fiasco. This one was hard to rate. Wish Yelp let me do somewhere around 3.5-3.8. What was good? We walked in and only had to wait about 10 minutes on a Saturday night the weekend of Mother's Day. Our server started off really bad. Didn't introduce herself and she started talking when we weren't even looking at her not realizing she had made it to the table. Her service didn't get much better from there. No mention of the specials. No offer of adult beverages. Bad. Just... What do you want to drink? I used to be a server so I know what they are told to do. We started off with cheese curds and they were pretty good. A little burnt tasting which it felt like was due to older oil that they were fried in. Other than that, they were pretty good. My wife got the Balsamic Chicken Breasts and she absolutely loved hers! She took half of it home so it felt like a pretty good value. I got the Sully Burger and had high hopes. It was good, don't get me wrong. But was it amazing? Nah. The burger was completely overdone and dry. Also didn't love the fried potatoes on it as much as I thought I would. Unfortunately, I was most excited about the horseradish sauce on the burger and it was non-existent. But... All this being said, it was a good burger. Not great. The ambiance of the place was pretty cool and we did really enjoy ourself. So.. I rated it on here at a 4 but probably not quite that good considering the horrible service. She also took forever to come check on us and bring us our check. Probably 20 minutes once we were done (and 20 min after we told her we were done!)

This was my second visit to The Standard, this time for an early Holiday meal. We had reservations…read morefor two and were promptly seated in a booth as requested. I hadn't realized before that there is a large room to the right of the bar area. We were there for a somewhat early dinner at 6pm on a Saturday and the place was bustling! Definitely make a reservation. (I used Open Table online two or three weeks in advance and it was very easy.) We were greeted shortly after being seated and our server advised us of the special entrees after taking our drink orders. We decided to split the roasted beet salad which also came with herbed goat cheese. Our server brought the salad on two plates- already divided. The salad was absolutely amazing!! I am seriously still craving it and the portion was so large that I couldn't even finish my half. Our server promptly boxed it up before our entrees were served. For the main course, I ordered one of the specials- scallops with rice sauteed with spinach. My friend had pork roast with carrots, which was a large portion - no complaints and she took home leftovers for another meal. I'll speak to my scallops... They were perfectly prepared, but there were only three scallops and a plentiful serving of rice and spinach. I love spinach and this side was very well seasoned. It didn't take long to eat the three scallops and the spinach pieces in the rice. I definitely enjoyed my meal, but wished for even one more scallop. Since my entree was a special that was verbally announced, I didn't know the price until I saw the bill. While it was delicious, I found the $41 charge a bit steep. The Standard is exceptional in almost every way- service was impeccable, amazing food, lovely ambiance- but be prepared for a pricey evening. My friend and I had a very enjoyable time and I definitely recommend this restaurant. I will say, however, that it can be difficult to talk because it is so busy. That said, it's popular for a reason! Check out the photos below for a virtual experience.

Sauder's Village Barn Restaurant…read more We've delighted in several visits to this property. Friday night Buffet was packed. We have greatly enjoyed National Conferences in US from Boston to San Francisco, and it is a joy to attend the Sons of American Revolution Conference at Sauder's Village in Archbold. Always something about hotel lobbies, fireplaces, and good friends that is satisfying. The Friday night buffet is BBQ, and following a week of Great Smokies's dining, we were eager to enjoy "German style" meals. Brisket was better than southern; pulled pork had no flavor; ribs were burned; great salad bar; very few veggies. Locals love this place and we recommend. Neat and different ambience. Servers are first rate. Large parking lot. Older couples are attracted to buffets.

Our salads were fresh, crisp and plentiful. Of course, I like the fact there are green olives available. Fried chicken was delicious (hubs favorite) and beef and noodles giving me thoughts of Sunday family dinners. Tapioca pudding and fruit slices with an iced tea completed our meal. Not to forget the ambiance of this restaurant. The waitstaff, interior and over all feeling take you back many years. Prices are fair, buffet is above average, friendly service and unique setting. They are open every day except Sundays and Mondays. Enjoy!
