Although I've liked many of the trainers I've worked with, I've never had one as good as Jenny. Her attentiveness and knowledge far exceeds any trainer I've ever worked with. She provides corrections that often seem small but isolate and strengthen whatever is targeted. She understands the body and expertly guides you but will quickly pivot to another exercise if she sees you're form is incorrect so you don't get injured. The next day I was the perfect amount of sore, whereas other studios/instructors I have been painfully sore the next day. First of all, the studio is located on the bottom floor of a private training gym called Fitness Factory. There is a parking lot, but unfortunately those who are going to Jenny Tate can't park in the lot. So, parking was a bit hard to find but I managed to find a metered street spot. Sucks that you have to pay for parking when you come take a class here! Guy was great, very friendly and helpful. He took the time to learn everyone's names and provided modifications for beginners and those with injuries. He wasn't judgmental like a lot of pilates instructors I've had in LA are. I started with their mat…read moreseries in August 2025 and am currently going through their reformer series, ending in June 2026. Maria, Miku, and Colette are phenomenal instructors. I have learned so much in my personal Pilates practice as well as from an instructor standpoint. As someone who doesn't have the "traditional" Pilates background (I'm not a dancer, I come from sports and weightlifting), I've found that Bodyline is supportive and welcoming to all human experiences. The students are as diverse here as you'll experience anywhere. I've taken private lessons from Colette and am just starting group classes at the studio. It's great to be able to put in practice what you learn in class in the actual studio to reinforce concepts and get familiar with expected choreo and queues before the test-out. I've noticed such an improvement in my own practice, both inside and outside of Pilates, due to the personalized feedback I've gotten here and thorough information I've learned about corrections for lumbar lordodis and hip popping. I highly recommend checking out Bodyline if you're looking to take your practice to the next level!

They also have plenty of cubbies for you to store your belongings and infrared saunas available for purchase. I have taken classes with various instructors at each of the 3 studios. I found that although they all have different styles of teaching, they are all challenging yet enjoyable. They are not unreasonably challenging and will offer modifications as needed. Most instructors do most of the workout with you, especially in mat pilates, and are great with hands-on correction. They also really know how to incorporate props such as the ball, ankle weights, hand weights, etc. into the workout. By far, one of my favorite pilates studios in West LA!
