I've yet to be disappointed by their choices. The inside of the store is a little tight, but the selection is top-notch and vast. Browse slowly through the aisles, you don't want to miss a great whiskey by going too fast. They also have an impressive collection of wine and beer. The prices are very fair and they aren't into the secondary market pricing game that seems to be all the rage with some store owners these days. They have a great stock and I believe the employee who was working the day I stopped in genuinely care about me as a customer and my business. I am looking a a specific, rare spirit. Cork N' Bottle's website boasts: "We were established in 1960, so if you're interested in it, we've probably seen it-- whether it's a rare bourbon, limited-edition run from an obscure brewery, or a small-production wine from a tiny appellation in the middle of nowhere. We're passionate about what we sell, and we're dedicated to curating an interesting rotating selection of delicious and sometimes hard-to-find beverages of all sorts. Want a special order? We're your store." So I decided to stop in and when I did, the employee I spoke to was very kind and gave me some tips about how I might find it and suggested that I call on Monday to speak to the employee who handles purchasing for this type of spirit. When I did, the employee I spoke to on the phone was incredibly condescending. It doesn't bother me that the store doesn't have the spirit in stock or the ability to specifically make sure I get a bottle. What bothers me is that the man I spoke to on the phone made me feel stupid for even asking if they may have some come in stock. I understand certain spirits are really hard to come by and it can be frustrating dealing with these type of requests if it's something that is in high demand, but it is exceptionally poor customer service to ridicule someone for asking a question when the website specifically boasts of the business' ability to help find rare bottles. All that being said, they do have a nice selection and the employee I dealt with in the store was delightful. I would consider going back for simple shopping as there didn't seem to be high mark up on things that tend to be harder to come by, but I would not ever ask for assistance from staff again.

This is the local bottle shop that we go to most of the time and it's always fun to browse around…read morethe whiskey and bourbon sections to see what new offerings have shown up. They have all of the regular brands that you would expect, but they also have some rotating stock that comes through that is worth a look. Recently I have noticed a few offerings from Garrison Brothers as well as Widow Jane (no Black Opal yet, lol). A few of the guys that I work and ice fish with are big bourbon and whiskey snobs, so this is where I go to stock up when they are in town. The folks at the front counter are always nice and are a good source of recommendations if you are looking for something special.

We were in the Lake Delton area…read more We needed some cocktail fixings for our vacation. In searching liquor stores, we found that there was a store titled the BWP Liquor Expo. A Liquor Expo? This had to be experienced. And, so we made our way here. It is a robust, larger liquor store. Exposition? Possibly? Large for a usual liquor store? Definitely. They had plenty to choose from. We were in the market for some scotch and drambuie (rusty nails, here we come). We found both. The server was kind and the prices were about average. The store was easy enough to navigate if a bit haphazard (neatly stocked linear lines, it was not). It was a little worn in that way that liquor stores can sometimes be (Discount Liquor in Milwaukee, I'm looking at you) that makes it feel like a true mom and pop kinda shop. All in all, they had a nice selection at a decent price. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the area. Get to it!
