The great thing about Wisconsin beer is that it's good, and mostly exclusively sold in Wisconsin. I guess that's two things, but still great things! We came over the border looking for different beers to try and BOY did we find them! Lots of great Wisconsin craft choices, plus some good Illinois craft choices too. The prices here are great as well. We left with a full box load of stuff for less than $65. They do allow the build your own 6 packs for $9.99, so there's a great chance for you to get some great variety here! The shop owner was super nice too. I highly recommend this place! read more

I'm a new Beloit resident (moved from Chicago/Champaign) so I'm used to a certain level of quality when it comes to liquor stores. By that I mean they must have more than your average Miller/Bud/Coors/etc stocked in the refrigerated section, though of course my ideal is also to be able to find a myriad of local beers or other brands I've never heard of. I thought I had found what I was looking for in the liquor section of Woodman's, but what it was missing was a mix a six section, where you could combine six individual beers from any pack to create your own. That's where Badger Spirits comes in! With tons of local beers and plenty more unusual brands, their mix-a-six section leaves me in awe, and always excited to go back and try more. I haven't been yet, but every other weekend or so they hold beer tastings. Hooray! read more

Probably my favorite beer/liquor store in Beloit. To start with the staff is phenomenal. If you give them an idea or occasion, they will suggest the wine that would be good. They know their drinks and will give you suggestions of what etoh to select. The best thing about Badger Spirits is their selection of craft beer. It is HUGE! They have all the Wisconsin beers and on top of that all the national micro brews and European craft brews. The prices are reasonable too. They also carry all the essentials for making cocktails. They have bitters, simple syrup, salt, and everything else. They also have a punch card for every $10 you spend so it's nice to build up and fill up a punch card and get a discount of $10. Overall, a great place to get your beer/wine/liqueur with a knowledgable staff and reasonable prices. read more

This place is nice. The employees are very helpful and have good product knowledge. If you ask them about a particular liquor, they will give you an honest opinion or will let you know that they haven't tried it. They won't try to upsell you just for the hell of it. We drive from Rockford IL abiut once every two months to stock up on beers that aren't distributed in our area. E.g, New Glarus and others I'll keep as a secret for now. They have a nice loyalty program where for every $200 spent you get $10 off. They also have a good wine and liquor selection. Staff are friendly and helpful. Definitely check it out. read more

My girlfriend and i drove from the Chicago area (which we were visiting from Southern Indiana) to this store specifically to get some New Glarus beer about 7 months ago. We ended up getting a few others as well. The staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the beer selection and what we should consider being from Indiana.
