Horrid experience they shaved my senior dog down to the bone when it was to be just a trim. It was an uneven shave too he looks ridiculous. He needs to wear clothes inside because AC makes him shiver AND he looks like a rescue that was shaved for neglect. the shaving not only completely uneven but they irritated a growth on his back - do they care? no - no call back, no forewarning, just shaved him to the bone and when my husband went to pick up the two dogs, they took our money even though they made such a ghastly mistake! 5 days later I'm still waiting for the owner to call me back after being repeatedly told they would. Clearly they do NOT care about their customers. I demanded my money back for BOTH my dogs but was given just for one- cannot believe I gave them a single penny for all we have to deal with in this mistake! so sad this happened - his fur doesn't grow easily - we have been there before and explicit instructions are always the exact same -no cut, no ears - a tiny trim -just to do the hygienic areas - and yes they cut his ear fur too so so so sad - if this platform allowed I would upload video of him shivering 24/7 read more

Both of my boys love going there. We tried other grooming establishments in Vero Beach, but for long haired dogs (English Setter and a GBGV) they are spectacular. We could not be happier with how they treat my our boys. read more

The groomer there is very Inexperienced. He must have problems both hearing and seeing He cut my dog nothing like I ask him. He shaved my dog and left patches all over her There is NO way I would take my dog back there. We now have to deal with this till it grows out. If i could give them a zero star that is even to good of a review. In the last 6 months that my boys have gone to get groomed there, there has been "miscommunication", and mistakes...they will take 1 not both but we schedule them together, the cuts are NOT great. The FINAL straw my boys have been scheduled appointment for yesterday for the last 4 weeks. 2 hrs before their appointment we get a call to say the groomer broke their arm weeks ago, but they are calling 2 hrs before the appointment to cancel our appointment. They claimed they had been trying to reach us, again UNTRUE. Don't recommend this groomer. read more

The way she accommodated my little Torbie Cat Judith Ann was so helpful for me as I had just moved to Vero Beach and needed to board Judith Ann for a few days until our new house was ready. I took my dog to get groom. Did not want my dog (baby girl) shave at all. The Groomer knew that unfortunately she didn't care. She could have call me before hand and I would have took my baby somewhere else. Not only my dog(baby) was shave down uneven but cut in different spots and she didn't tell me. I have a 7 month old Yorkie. Now she looks like a 5 year old Chihuahua. That been in a dog fight! read more

Nobody was at the desk, and this is not the first time he had to go looking for some help over in the shop. When he was finally able to get someone to get our dog, she went into the grooming area and retrieved him from a crate!! Our 80 pound golden retriever from a crate!!! Once again, not the first time this has happened. We send him to day care to get exercise and release energy. If they cannot handle this then they shouldn't be a day care! I'm furious and can assure you we will not be bringing our dog back there. read more

I was extremely disappointed by the grooming I received for my 3 Pekingese. I spoke to the groomer before entrusting my pets to her care and despite my specifically asking that she not cut the dogs' hair too short, she nearly scalped them. The pictures speak for themselves. They were shaved from their tails to their eyes including their ears! My dogs were unrecognizable! When I contacted the owner of the shop she claimed that the groomer and I simply had stylistic differences, not unlike if I had received a haircut with which I was dissatisfied. This is hardly the case. No sufficiently trained groomer would have produced a cut that looked anything like what was done to my dogs. And when the owner was presented with an opportunity to make things right by refunding my money, she refused and instead offered a discount off future services. Hardly reparations and instead an empty offer, coupled with insults, that attempts to force me to entrust my dogs to these people who have proven themselves undeserving of my business. Certainly not a customer focused service provider. Beware!! read more

Village pet Inn helped us last minute when our original boarder closed. They were very good with our older fur baby who has bad hips and seizures. They did a great job with her bath. They made check in and check out quick and easy and were reasonably priced. I liked that there was a vet and store with natural products on site. We will use them when we vacation in the area. read more

I wish I could give this place negative a million stars. They had my dog child, Renni, for 45 minutes before losing her in the yard after I SPECIFICALLY told them that she has terrible separation anxiety from me. Their excuse was, "you didn't tell us she jumped". SHE IS A DAMN DOG. They only looked for her for 30 minutes and gave up because, "they couldn't find her" and "they close at 7", after I spent 22 terrible hours out looking for her. I don't recommend them, what so ever. In fact, I believe their complete incompetence should have them closed. Upon my arrival, they had two large dogs in a crate who clearly were afraid of the one employee. Instead of approaching the dog with no eye contact and the back of a hand (as you properly should with a scared/timid dog who's not used to you) the employee grabbed a blow horn can and threatened to put it in the dogs face to make them stop barking. HOW TRAUMATIZING. When I simply said, "if my dogs barks at you, because she's timid, do NOT use that on her" she simply "assured" me that it only made noise to scare them, not spray them with anything. STILL, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! I'm all for local and small businesses, but the neglect of my poor dog (and clearly others), is completely unacceptable. These people should be protested and put out of business. read more

I absolutely love this place. The staff is amazing. I take my little fur baby there all the time. She loves being able to run around with her friends. The girls treat her like she is one of their own. Their Groomer Roxy is extremely talented. Love the work she does on my baby girl. The owner is an amazing woman and has such a love for animals. It truly shows when you walk into the place. The shop next door is a Holistic pet store and I am able to find everything my little girl needs to have a great diet. We have been taking our dog here to be boarded and groomed for several years, and for the most part been verry happy. However, this past week we boarded her for ten days with an appointment made for grooming on the last day of her boarding. When I called to see what time I should pick her up after grooming, I was told that she was not scheduled for grooming. I no that I made an appointment on the day I booked her to stay and also spoke about it when I dropped her off. I remember speaking to the the groomer, who at the time was grooming a golden retriever. She came out of the grooming area and we went over what I wanted done. A younger women checked us in and took our dog to the back for boarding and an older lady with tattoo's finished the paperwork and we confirmed the grooming. I remember looking at the calendar that was on the counter and confirming that the groomer would be able to groom her since she had several dates blocked off due to her vacation. When I told the person on the phone all of this, she still was unable to fulfill what was promised and agreed too when I dropped my dog off. I am very disappointed with the lack of service and willingness to fix the problem. The people checking in my dog screwed up and now they will not fix the problem The whole reason we boarded her at this place and were willing to pay the $40.00 aa night fees was because we wanted her to be groomed and the end. Now with Christmas 5 days away, we are picking up a dirty dog and are not able to get her groomed any where else. I DO NOT recommend Village Pet Inn any longer. I am very disappointed! read more

I. am. furious. My 3.7lb Maltese was injured by their groomer (Debbie B.). Her SCALP was bunched up under the too-tight rubber band bow. Village Pet Inn always takes good care of my Mastiff King while I am out of town. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff! Highly recommend!

I witnessed my dog get attacked by a pack (6) of free roaming dogs including a great dane right in front of me as I was picking him up after boarding. My dog as well as staff member attempting to break up the attack were injured. Friendly but poorly trained staff, owner indifferent. If I could give zero stars I would. Will never use again. I am so happy I found Susan with Village Pet Pet Sitting. She was so good to our cat, Blaze. He always felt very comfortable with her, and the charge is very affordable for her to come to your house. Great great people....you will be rest assured that they will care for your pet. read more

There is not enough wonderful things I can say about the pet store and boarding facility- I have not utilized the grooming. Our sweet hound Nala has developed an intense form of separation anxiety since we moved from Maine to Florida. She always had a touch of it but not as bad as our recent move. I tried a larger well known doggy day care but I think the facility was so large that Nala got lost in all the other dogs. They did say she was so nervous they would not board her. Next we tried "private school" through Rover. We found a nice couple that had a great yard and a sweet older dog themselves. It still did not feel like a good fit when the woman mentioned several times that Nala would whine and was annoying. I needed a place that sweet Nala could go and enjoy herself and be herself. She is shy, sweet and loves people and critters but her nerves over run her. We started Prozac for dogs and that was not for us-it was a terrible experience. The owner of Village Pet recommended CBD oil and after a few weeks of trial we saw great results! We decided to do an afternoon of doggy day care and she shined! Nala was content enough that she drank water while there and had a treat- remarkable for her! We decided to board her there while we traveled for a week. She did incredible! All of the staff knew Nala could overcome with some time and direction. I picked up a totally different dog! The difference is night and day! I should mention that I use the veterinary service next door and that gave me great piece of mind to know that they "were all in" on Nala. I am currently working with Susan to adjust Nala's food and while I haven't settled on the right one for Nala I so appreciate how Susan works with us to figure out what we want nutritionally - I didn't look to Village Pet to "solve our problems" or "do all the work". What I feel we get is an honest, compassionate partnership in Nala's health and well being. I can't thank them all enough. read more

I can't thank Village Pet Inn enough for taking care of my 2 German Shepherds and 1 Chihuahua when I had a death in the family and needed to fly back to my hometown. Tracy and staff treated my dogs with tender loving care. The Village Inn is super clean and well kept. When I picked up my dogs, they were clean and playfully happy. They are the best place in town for animal boarding and their charges for care and boarding are very reasonable. Highly recommended and will be back with my dogs again. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I had used this kennel for 12 years. But when it changed ownership a few years ago, the quality went way down. Every visit was greeted by different and in my opinion inexperienced staff, and my dog, who used to love going there began acting differently. The final straw came on the final visit, when picking up my dog, the staffer went to retrieve my dog, letting him out of his kennel without leashing him. When she entered the small lobby/office area with my dog, which was full of unleashed dogs of varied sizes,in seconds one of the dogs, a Great Dane, attacked my med size 38 lb dog unprovoked as he walked across the room. This instantly triggered a pack response and 5 other dogs joined the attack, 6 dogs on top of my dog. I was horrified! It took 2 staffers to break up the fight, one who was bitten on the leg by the Dane. My dog received 2 puncture wounds but fortunately wasn't seriously injured but very traumatized and was shaking like a leaf. I too was shaking and in tears. When I confronted the owner, there was no remorse, instant excuses and an attempt on her part to put the blame my dog. I will never use this kennel again. read more

Well let me first say...I've taken a couple of my dogs here once for grooming and they did a perfect job. And I am a customer of the vet clinic and am really happy with them (although I don't think they are affiliated ). My review is about my boarding experience with our newest puppy. I ade my reservation over the phone days ahead of time. I was told they open at 8 am , and that was perfect because I needed to be somewhere 3 hrs away by 1130am. Was at the shop by 755, no one in sight. As I was waiting along came 2 other people dropping off their dogs for daycare. I started calling by 810, then again every 5 minutes wondering if maybe they were inside but forgot to unlock door. By 840am finally the owner pulls up, and comes to the door cheerfully saying good morning! No omg I'm so sorry my employee never showed! Nothing! I by this point was extremely irritated because I knew I would miss my appointment. So I left my puppy and went. I am certain she heard my very increasingly annoyed voice messages later and I never even got a call back apologie. I am a business owner myself and I know how you are supposed to treat customers...I was not treated appropriately. When I went to pick up my puppy several days later, no apologie then or never offered a discount. I probably will never be back. read more
