These guys are always sooo kind, helpful, and knowledgeable! We've taken our two dogs for regular checkups (vaccines, checking lumps, etc) and they've always gone so smooth. We've worked with multiple DRs and vet techs when we visit and they've all had amazing "bed side manner" and treat our pups so well. The front desk crew is also always been so pleasant. We recently had one of our dogs need a procedure of two mass removals, and they were so helpful and kind during the whole process. They answer all my questions without making me feel bad for being an overprotective dog mom and I can tell they truly care and are knowledgeable. When my dog ended up biting out some of the stitches they got us in immediately to fix him up and I was able to send pictures via text message over the following days/weeks for check ins on how the healing was going. This whole situation was very overwhelming and stressful for me and they were so kind with helping me and my dog through the process.

The night after surgery. Very sleepy and tired boo boo.

Thank you so much for taking care of Scooby! Scooby loves all the vets, vet techs and admin staff. At the recommendation of a friend, we went to the Village Vet. My friend's dog also had surgery done at the Village Vet by the traveling surgeon. Pre surgery We went to see Dr. Bellville because Scooby was limping. Dr. Bellville examined him, did an xray and found that he had a partial CCL tear. She told us our options, and we decided to go with the surgeon, Dr. Teehar, who travels to the Village Vet to do the surgery. She was very quick. Day of surgery (March 2022) Scooby was well taken care of. We dropped him off in the morning. Surgery was done before noon, and we picked him up in the afternoon. They wanted to keep him after surgery so they can monitor him. Post surgery We received calls the day after to make sure Scooby is okay and to schedule a suture removal. We also received phone calls to remind us to remove patches. They truly cared about Scooby's well being. We did all the recommended exercises and post op instructions. As of Nov 2023, Scooby's leg is doing great! They really do prepare you for everything that has to be done before, during and after the surgery. They provide all the tools and resources you may need to make sure everything goes smoothly. After surgery, we've taken Scooby to the Village vet for check ups. Overall everyone was great! We moved out of state, but we're glad we found Village Vet while my husband was stationed in the area.

So my husband and I moved to Lompoc almost 2 years ago and have only gone to Village Vet. The prices seem on par with any other vet we've used in the past including SB and Bakersfield. I have to say I really like Dr. Ganter and she's the first vet where I actually feel comfortable as a dog mom. I can tell she wants and gives the best care for our dog as possible. But she's also not super pushy. The center is super clean and well kept which is important to me. The facility also provides a lot of services including boarding which we have used and really liked. They have kennels with cameras so you can check in your pup while you're away. They also have grooming services which we will probably use at some point.

Our choices in the area were limited and we needed a place for our dog the next day, so my partner went through registration without a tour. The registering employee was provided all medical details - we noted that our dog's booster was due but would be completed at our vet visit scheduled for the next afternoon, and that we needed daycare starting the same day. She said that wouldn't be an issue so we paid in advance for 10 days. The next day, partner drives the half hour to Lompoc to drop our dog off and was told that she could not be taken back without the booster. So now he's in the situation we were trying to avoid, unable to work because our dog does not have care, and the woman at the front desk was not concerned about the miscommunication. Booster acquired, our dog is now a regular doggie day care customer. She looks forward to her visits with her dog buddies and the staff. Pick up and drop off are fast and straightforward. She gets a little dusty but we bathe her regularly anyway. Since that first day, we have had a few more issues with daycare availability that are all the more frustrating due to lack of communication. If doggie daycare is optional for you, this may not be an issue, but for us it means someone has to take a day off or loses half a day to making alternative arrangements. There are a few things you can do to try to mitigate the risk of not having care, but the legwork will be on you and are not guaranteed. 1. Weekday after a holiday - facility will be full of boarded dogs who haven't been picked up yet. Call ahead and/or arrive at 7am. 2. Rainy day - facility will be limited by kennel availability to avoid muddy dogs. Note that a single rainy day can lead to a week of limited availability due to muddy conditions. Call ahead and/or arrive at 7am. Note: This review is only for doggie daycare experience. We have not boarded our dog with the facility.

Dogs will automatically try to hold their urine and feces (hello that's why we crate train) and even if you opt for the bigger area it still defeats the purpose of crate training if the poor babies hold their potty so long and then have to finally go in their enclosure. And what if something happens to the pups? No one is there! What is the point of boarding an animal if all they are going to do is lock them in a room for 13 hours alone. People can and do neglect their animals for free :( . Really cruel. DO NOT LOCK YOUR DOG IN A CRATE FOR MORE THAN 4-6 HOURS AT A TIME! For puppies crate time is much less! They have to use the restroom and get thirsty! I can't believe dog owner's support a business that does this to their dogs and pays for it! Heartbreaking!

He's a little guy, so he tends to go downhill quickly if he doesn't get treatment quickly. The vet I typically use said they couldn't see him until 3 days later, even after explaining his symptoms. I didn't want to make my pup suffer that long and I was really concerned because it was getting progressively worse rather quickly. I called local vets. Some weren't taking new patients, some didn't have any openings, some weren't friendly or informative over the phone when I called. I called Lompoc Veterinary Clinic, they could not see him HOWEVER, Lori couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. She was so patient and gave me a long list of other local vets & numbers to try. I was very appreciative of her extra efforts and her caring manner. Not long after my conversation with her she called me back telling me she forgot one other option. She totally went the extra mile and my pet isn't even a patient at this clinic. I'm so grateful to Lori because that phone call made all the difference. I called that last option she gave me and it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. It's VERY rare these days where a business does what they're getting paid to do, even more rare when they're going above and beyond without getting paid for it! I SO appreciate Lori's kindness, thoughtfulness, and her going the extra mile. This is exactly the type of service I would love for my fur baby to receive. So while I have not had the opportunity to visit this clinic, I would not hesitate to recommend them based on the EXCELLENT service I received over the phone by Lori. Very grateful. Thank you !

While an employee was retrieving the hamster, the General Manager approached us aggressively, raised his voice, and began scolding us about the cage, claiming a previous hamster had gotten ringworm from it. I tried to calmly explain that the cage was temporary and that we had done our research, but he would not let me speak, repeatedly talked over me, and belittled me in front of my child. His behavior was hostile, intimidating, and completely unprofessional. He then told us that if the hamster got sick, we should "not come back" because he would refuse to replace it, which felt threatening rather than helpful. Most alarming, his speech appeared slurred, and there was a strong smell of alcohol. Regardless of the cause, his conduct was inappropriate and concerning, especially from someone in a management role. What should have been a happy experience for our daughter was completely ruined. No customer -- especially a family with a child -- should be treated this way. Corporate should seriously look into the management at this location.
