At our wedding, she made everyone around her feel at ease (including making sure my champaign glass was filled right when she walked in). She forged an instant connection with my nephew and ring bearer who then hammed it up for the camera each time she came by. JoAnna has the ability to find unique shots and is very self directed. And finding the perfect photographer (within budget) was a definite stressor! We've met with several photographers and at the end of the day, we felt most comfortable with Maddie. Our little newborn Ella was 9 days old when I realized how important it was to photograph her in all the newborn goodness. I was always pretty judgemental about those "baby in a basket" sessions. You don't really get how unique that time in life is until you hold your own little child in your hands. I discovered you've got to photograph newborns within 14 days of their birth, otherwise it gets difficult for them to stay sleepy and stationary for a photo session. I had a minor meltdown trying to reach an incredible, well-known newborn photographer from Wisconsin. They did get a hold of me, but said I needed to come to Wisconsin with the baby for the session because of their busy schedule. They also recommended Patricia Anderson here in Chicago. I was elated to hear back from Patricia that evening. Patricia had a full schedule, but after **slightly** begging her, she fit me into her weekend schedule and we got Ella scheduled for a session at 11 days young. **AH** thank you thank you! Patricia is so easy to work with. She handles everything once you get to the studio. She took baby Ella and all we had to do was watch in amazement as the 1 hour mini session unfolded. Turn around was quick - we were able to see the photographs the same week. Man, did she deliver! And her print products are so fitting to her brand - you've got to get these photographs up on your wall! Seriously - it's the only way to go with artistic photographs that Patricia creates for you.
