There is a very nice pool with a large shallow area that is great for small children, and a separate, glassed-in hot-tub area. The first-floor mall has some very nice store for browsing and shopping. The rooms are nice, and spotlessly clean. We've always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. We've used the laundry service and the spa services, and they were great. The breakfast buffet is first-rate. There's a huge selection, and everything is delicious. The hotel is half a block from Paseo de Montejo, a beautiful place for a morning walk. I can't think of a single thing I'd change about Fiesta Americana!

The rooms are stocked with an abundance of towels and products. Oh, and I was surprised to discover that there were enough hangers. I enjoyed the chicken pibil in the fancy restaurant and the line soup. The pibil exceeded my expectation with a perfect balance of spices and the pickled onions. The other restaurant serves a breakfast buffet which was not something I chose to indulge in a second time. The staff are what makes this hotel worthwhile. The front desk and housekeeping staff are simply the sweetest and most industrious group of people i've encountered in years. We chose a room overlooking the courtyard since I'm not a night owl. If you choose to face the city, be prepared to hear music and conversations late into the night. The entry level houses a small mall where you can find touristy goods like, clothes and jewelry. There's a Chili's restaurant on the ground floor but why? You can walk around the city and find delicious food at high and low prices. You can find beautiful hand crafted items to take home or adorn yourself with in town. But you have to be willing to venture out. We spent 13 nights at the Fiesta Americana. Overall, I would say it was reasonably priced with great service. One star removed due to the lack of a qualified and knowledgeable concierge and because the breakfast bit was an overpriced disappointment.

Located on the Malecon, SIL and her husband were generous enough to book us a room facing the…read morebeach. And it was convenient that their room was right next to us. But before the pros, let's do the CONS first. 1. No elevators, so if you have issues going up and down the stairs, try to book a room on bottom floor. 2. The water pressure on the showerhead is so weak, so taking a shower will take longer than usual. It didn't help that the showerhead was installed incorrectly (see attached video.) 3. There are no phones in the rooms, so if you need anything from the staff, you'll have to speak to them at the concierge. 4. Our safe didn't work, but they alleviated that problem by giving us the key to use it manually. 5. It took a minute for the AC to work, but when it did, it was great. 6. I found a lot of crap under the beds, which told me they don't clean the room as thoroughly as they should. This prompted me to clean everything we used in the kitchen. And on to the PROS: 1. Complimentary bottles of water. And they came in handy! 2. A rinsing station right up front to clean off your feet if you were coming from the beach. This is a clever idea. 3. Staff was always ready to help when you need them. 4. They provide towels for whenever you need them for the pool or the beach. (They give each guest a card which you turn in for a towel and get back once you're done with it.) 5. The kitchen has all the basic equipment in case you decide to use it. (It came pretty handy when we wanted to reheat some of our leftovers/takeout from eateries we went to.) 6. Beds were clean and comfortable. Nothing to complain about that! 7. The TV works! Basic channels, but still. IT WORKS! 8. And this tops all of it: the view is AMAZING. Once you step out, you forget about all the CONS. It is incredible, breathtaking, and just... you know what, just book a room with a view, and you'll understand. ;) We had a wonderful stay. I would consider staying here again given the chance. I'm hoping for upgrades by then. (But they got time... I know it'll be a long minute before that next visit.) Definitely something to look forward to!

They have the ameneties you need. I like that they have a mini wash area at their entrance for your feet after you swim in the ocean.The staffs are friendly but not all of them can speak English. The only thing is their beds' foams are not thick enough so its not that easy to sleep.

Club level and club level benefits were excellent. Basically, you could eat dinner at the club level/membership if desired to do so. And, great service. For us, that means we had to purchase only one meal daily since our room included the breakfast buffet, and we ate dinner at the Regency Club. You pay more, but you get your money's worth, for sure. The breakfast buffet, the food quality, and quantity, are second to none. I don't usually like buffets because the food on them tends to be blah tasting, not here though. There is a lobby bar that's VG with friendly, attentive bartenders. Everyone we came in contact with was extremely helpful, from the doormen, wait staff in restaurant areas, front desk, and the person cleaning our room, #1510. In spite of me knowing almost no Spanish, we found a way to communicate. Most of them spoke some English, and 1 bartender allowed me to practice using my translation app with them. Room 1510 is large with a mini fridge, small safe, and coffee maker. No microwave. Ice machine every other floor, and you are offered plenty of bottled water. You don't need an HDMI cable for the TV. We cast our Netflix account to the room TV using the provided instructions. The pool is on the 3rd deck, small but adequate. It's a few blocks away from Ado bus service. We used Ado to get to Cancun, a significant savings over paid private auto service. Look for their App.

Provided a mild room upgrade for my Bonvoy status. Room: two double beds (but the front desk promised two queen beds), very stained upholstered furniture, two TVs in the room and extra sitting space. This was a small quasi-sweet. Horrible, non-functioning little coffee maker, mini-refrigerator, safe, all the normal items. Bed: decent bed with below average linens Bathroom: horrible lighting, shower with no door (water escaping shower), but decent counter space. Mediocre hair dryer Cleaning: decent housekeeping Room service: Horrible! Ordered a burger cooked medium, and it was less than rare. Restaurant: on site but abysmal service (the restaurant manager needs to be replaced because service as bad as we experienced can only be blamed on an incompetent manager) Parking: decent below ground parking garage, no fee General staff service: pretty bad! We had several staff interactions that left us wondering how this hotel is affiliated with Marriott. Example- the elevators only allow you to access your floor. But our floor didn't have an ice machine. When we called down to the front desk to explain the predicament and ask for ice, the staff member laughed out loud and said "I know!" Every morning you can get a delicious freshly prepared breakfast served to you out there and listen to the calming noise of the water fountain. The rooms are richly appointed (we always stay in the Mejorada) and well-kept. Service is excellent--they wait outside for you to arrive back every night to let you in! This is really a stellar experience and a great place to stay and experience one of North America's best cities.

This is an absolutely beautiful property with impeccable service. So many nice little touches like welcome drinks on arrival, little chichen it's shaped chocolates on your pillow at night with a special message, organic shower products made with Mayan honey, and of course their incredible breakfast service. At night, there is always someone waiting at the gate to let you in no matter what the tine. We stayed in the Mejorada room with is gorgeous with high ceilings and a jetted tub. Although Casa Azul has its traditional charm, it's definitely upgraded and renovated enough to provide modern conveniences. The air condition was very good, plenty of outlets to charge things, etc. Breakfast service is the standout and often was one of the best meals of our trip. Their chilaquiles is especially incredible but you can't go wrong with any choice. Raul provided exceptional service and also accommodated a speedier service one day when we had a tour to catch earlier in the morning. Luna in the office was always super helpful to answer our questions and give us tips. Location-wise, it's steps away from el Paseo Mantejo and we felt very comfortable walking at night to and from our hotel from the center. Casa Azul cannot be missed!

There is a mini fridge, but there was no coffee maker in the room, when we asked for one, they brought us some weard coffee maker that takes little capsules. There are two swimming pools, one that belongs to room # 1 and a larger pool for the Hotel, however it's very hard to climb out if you are not young and skinny, I really had a hard time getting out of the pool. Please invest in a hand rail or banister. Just because of the pool not having one, we will not return. The room comes with Breakfast, and that was very good.
