SUPER DISAPPOINTED WITH HOW MY MOST RECENT ORDER WAS HANDLED!…read more This was my second time renting tables and linen from this company for my annual holiday party. Last year, I was able to order and rent tables and linen from here and had no problems at all. This year, I order tables, linen, and a 20 x 20 tent with walls. Our event was for December 18, so I requested for the rental items to be delivered on December 17. The initial order was a bit too expensive for my party budget, so I asked our sales representative, Nakeesha Clemmons, to remove some of the extra items to help us with pricing. Somewhere in the process of editing our initial order, Nakeesha changed our setup date from December 17 to December 18. Since the setup date was not something I asked to be adjusted, I did not think to check when the order was updated. On December 17, when prepping the venue for the event with my Event Committee, I became concerned that the rentals had not been delivered. I called Nakeesha to inquire, and she informed me she had me down for setup on December 18. I informed her that, that could not be right as I know I scheduled the order to be setup on December 17; which makes sense since our event was on December 18. I found the email where I originally requestee setup on December 17. I asked Nakeesha to accommodate our December 17 need, and she said she would check with her manager. When I asked to speak to her manager, Jason, he called me back and said the same thing as Nakeesha. I informed him of the issue with our setup date changing. He informed me he was not able to accommodate our need. I am VERY disappointed this happened leading up to our important event. It caused added stress on the date of our event. The company's automated system had a higher price then their website. It took them a while to…read morerespond but they did honor the lower price as listed on their home page without any argument. There was a delivery fee added that was not in the original quote but it was in line with their online policy. After I made this review they had sent me a series of emails complaining about how I worded the review. They tried to get me to change how it was written and felt that the fact they did not provide the delivery fee in the original quote would come across like they were hiding something. I stated that I felt the review was fair and they responded with the following: _______ reservations@kingkongpartyrentals.com to xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Thank you Gene - After a detailed review by the owner we are at this time declining to service your event. We feel that if there are misinterpretations this early that it will set the stage for issues later. Therefore to avoid potential for problems for both parties we are conscious and are providing you with ample time to allocate your party rental needs elsewhere. _________ So because they did not like the review they have cancelled my order which had previously been confirmed and received a confirmation number. I had even informed them that I would add to the review once the event happened so I could add about the quality of their service. I would avoid these people at all cost as they are truly not a professional organization. They tried repeatedly to pressure me to alter the wording of my review and I did a few times. I was not however going to lie to make them happy. There are more than an ample number of these types of businesses in Houston...choose a more reputable one. They have left me a week away from the event for my daughter with no dunk tank and no bounce house. Now her birthday and celebration of her bone marrow transplant will likely be derailed because of them trying to bully someone into writing a review that was worded the way THEY want it written. Have also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau Houston As an addition/update to my previous review I thought it important to note that there have been 18 previous reviews of KingKong Party Rentals and they have all been filtered out. What does filtered out mean? It means that Yelp has algorithms in place to prevent deceitful behaviors by businesses to put up fake or solicited reviews. While this does not affect most companies what is important to grasp from this is that EVERY positive review they received was filtered out due to this type of attempt at putting up fake reviews to make them look better than what they actually are. See the pattern? They are an untrustworthy company and you should spend your money elsewhere. New update...they have tried to post some more fraudulent reviews to their site to make themselves look better. They have had 20 filtered out now. This guy is a really deceitful person and you should avoid him.

They emailed a few days later stating the quote, and included instructions to reply within an hour to reserve the day and time I had requested, which I did - I responded as soon as I received a notification that I had an email. I received no response until the following morning. The email they sent me stated they were rechecking availability and would get back with me. What was the point in telling me to reserve within an hour (which I did) if they weren't going to reserve it? I responded asking for them to give me a call, or to respond with a number I could call, so that we could make the reservation over the phone. That no doubt would have been much easier and faster. I received nothing back and after 24 hours emailed them AGAIN stating that I would not be using their services after all. If you value your time, do not waste it trying to work with this company as they clearly do not want your business. A tip for the owner: invest in a business phone and actually use it. UPDATE: I received a plethora of e-mails, texts and phone calls from this company apologizing and how they did value my business. They had apparently experienced technical difficulties the previous day. Either way, I had already moved on to another company. Be aware that if you do choose book with this company, it will be mainly through text and e-mail. I am giving them 3 stars on customer service (a combination of before and after the issue) only because I never got a chance to experience the actual product. I may try them again in the future, just not this time.

They had great communication pre-party and the booking process was very easy to navigate. They customized the photo strip for the party as well which is part of the package they provide. On the day of the event, they showed up promptly to set up for the party to set up. The attendant was extremely personable and professional. The majority of the guests were teenagers and he did a great job hosting them at the booth. He did a great job. The kids loved the Photobooth and props. After the party, they gave me a flash drive with all the photos taken from the party. We had an exceptional experience with them! We will absolutely book then again for any future celebrations.

I did select new chairs and she told me she would send me a new quote to sign and pay. This was on Friday. I never received the new quote and I thought well she probably is gone for the day, so I waited on Monday and received nothing. On Tuesday no new quote or no call back so I called and left another message and nothing so Tuesday afternoon I called again and left another message. She finally called me back and said they did not have my tables and what they had was smaller and they weren't even the same size! What she didn't tell me is the original ones I requested had to be delivered also I said you didn't tell me that and she said well yes they do need to be delivered. I said so you're telling me I need to go with smaller round tables that are not even the same size. She says yes unless I want rectangle and I said no I didn't want those. She tried to blame it on my email. She dropped the ball and was not taking the blame!
