With that being said, I am so glad that I gave this place a try! I really appreciate the fact that this place is a one-stop shop (hair, nails, facials, body care, and makeup) because although I like to get pampered, I appreciate having everything done in one place due to my busy schedule. Whoever the designer was did a really good job at separating the salon and spa side of things. I really liked that the spa/skincare side was separated from the hair and nail side of things. The place is very clean and I did notice that my esthetician used new sponges on me and threw them away after using them (fun fact - by law estheticians are required to use new sponges on clients - however I've been to some shady places that did not do this....eekgads!). My esthetician was very friendly and allowed me to chatter the whole time. Also the receptionist was really cool too and answered a lot of my questions when I was trying to schedule an appointment over the phone. I go in ask for a soak off and they do the normal drilling to make sure the acetone gets in good. Then I get a new nail tech and he takes a nail file under my nail and it really hurt and he's just taking off some of my nails and I tell him I wanted a soak and he's like OK. He starts clipping down my fake nails and he's soaking and he keeps just drilling them and I tell him it starts to hurt because it feels like he's drilling my actual nail and he drilled the top of my nails too far, He cut me pretty bad with the drill. He clipped my finger the cuticle clipper, and it won't stop bleeding. This is probably the worst service I've gotten here. I showed her the desired look I wanted for my wedding. She assured me that she had experience with mature skin along with 14 years in makeup artistry. Mercy charges $500 for wedding makeup. I paid $330 for her deposit. The day I had a makeup trial she was 45 minutes late. I left the trial very disappointed. The makeup was nothing like I desired for my wedding day. It was extremely thick and cracking. I even had a chunk of makeup fall out of the corner of my eye. I went straight home and washed my face, I was so disappointed. The next day I sent Mercy a text asking for another trial. I told her I felt the look was too harsh for my liking. It took her 7 days to get back to me. She stated she wanted me to get a spray tan prior to my next trial. I thought all makeup artists can match skin tone and a spray tan isn't going to change the application but, I agreed. I asked for another appointment. Seven days later I still had not heard back from Mercy. I was becoming very stressed because my wedding is fast approaching. I just want to look and feel confident on my wedding day. I decided to cancel my contract with Mercy. I sent her a text to cancel and within 15 minutes she responded and was happy to let me know my deposit was non refundable. I highly advice any other brides or ladies looking for a makeup artist to do a trial before signing a contract. Especially with a business person that doesn't honor and respect the happiness of their clients.
