The location of the brewery was in the downtown area, which, as a visitor to the are, looks like it could be a great location for restaurant s, bars and shops. A much needed revitalization plan for businesses could make the area a hot spot for local upscale people wanting a nice evening out. 2) the brewing companies look or ambiance was definitely taken into consideration when the owner designed it. For example, it does not look like the dive bar in the corner. Well done! 3) the brewery had five of their own brews available and this is the only reason I wanted to check it out. The stout was my favorite, not that any of them were bad. However, all the beers, and we sampled all of the home brews, tasted thin. Thin meaning they lacked flavor- I felt like I had watered down beer. In addition, I kept tasting metal- there was a metallic taste to four of five of the beers I tasted. This is a common issue I have noticed with many start up microbreweries that the owners will need to figure out in the brewing process. Light beers such as Coors light and Bud light are also watered down beers, in my opinion, but the flavor of the beer still comes through. I'm not a fan of Coors light and Bud light but I find a light beer less heavy and, at times, satisfying as a staple day-to-day beer. I prefer a craft beer for its bolder flavors as they are much more enjoyable. Overall, I think this brewery needs to perfect their formulas but I am hopeful they will figure it out. I'll return in a few years to see if they stepped up their game. Nonetheless, I appreciate the owners enthusiasm to deliver a unique set craft beers. I forgot to mention the service was vert good! Friendly staff, great location, nice selection of guest taps, and okay house beers. That sums up my experience. I finally managed to be in Vincennes during the Brewery's open hours, so I stopped by right as they opened. At that time of day, I was able to grab some free street parking nearby. The entrance doesn't have a lot of signage out front and the shared space on the left side of the building was undergoing renovation, so that left the common area in the middle and the brewery on the right side. The brewery had six house brews available and easily that many guest taps. In fact, while there, other customers were ordering about the same. I decided to get a flight of four of the house brews. Of the four I tried, I would say the "Hoptimistic" American IPA (6.5% ABV, 65 IBU) was my favorite. It was a solid IPA that I think would appeal to most IPA fans. My second favorite was the "Haulin' Oats" Oatmeal Stout (6.2%, 37). It was different from most stouts I've had, but still had a nice flavor. I had started with the "Kinda Light" Cream Ale (5.4%, 18) because my wife loves cream ales and I wanted to be able to suggest it. But this tasted heavier than the ones I've had elsewhere. I am sure she wouldn't find it as bright or possible sweet as the ones she prefers. I guess what my biggest disappointment was in the "Geoffeweizen" Hefeweizen (4.6%, 13). I consider Hefes my favorite ale to drink a pint of and really look for that balance of clove and banana in both the aroma and taste. I barely noticed either of those prime tastes in this one. Not sure what happened, but if I had done a blind tasting, I would have guessed it was something closer to a pale ale. The place has been open a couple years and has a new brewer, so they are brewing up a storm, so maybe they will have more than six house brews in the near future. Passing through this quaint little town we found this gem of a place. First we noticed how great the parking was and how accessible it was to get to. It's located right next to a beautiful park. The place is small but perfect to hang around and talk. Many beer choices to try. The boyfriend had a flight of beers and grabbed a growler to go. We shared the cheese curds and pretzels. Wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Sitting there for just a short time you could tell this place had regulars and it's no wonder why. If I lived here I would be here a lot too. read more

We are visiting from out of state for a wedding. My husband and son are in the wedding party so after the rehearsal dinner last night, we planned to visit Vincennes Brewing for a final drink before heading back to the hotel for the night. Not realizing that there are different laws from Wisconsin to Indiana with having children in bars, when we entered, the bartender rudely yelled towards us and my 6 year old that he couldn't be in the bar, instead of just addressing us with understanding and just decent customer service. Also, to my understanding, the bartender had served others in our wedding party after we left immediately, and was rudely servicing these others, making the others go upstairs, closing out there tabs right away and then charging them 25% tip without allowing them to sign a receipt or review there tab before closing out. Honestly just very disappointed in how rude and dismissive the bartender treated us and the some of the wedding party. read more

I wanted to buy a keg of their beer. They said it would be expensive and said the price would be $500. I agreed to the price, but they refused to sell to me. I then offered $580 for the keg, they still declined and smirked at me. Not sure if they hate free market business or my brown skin... but I definitely won't be going back. read more

We stopped here on our road trip to AZ looking for craft beer and dinner ... this place does not disappoint! The pig and fig flathead made with naan is DELICIOUS!!! Right downtown overlooking the River Walk, beside a National Monument, and in Indiana's first Main Street. Get a flight of brews and a plate of cheese and bread, kick back and stay for awhile. Hands down the best brewery in southern Indiana. If you're looking for a great atmosphere with some good brews, this is the spot! I had their hummus plate and a flight of beer for under $20. Each one of the beers was crisp and refreshing. After a long day of taking in the wonderful history of Vincennes I popped in here for a bite and a brew. I have only heard one band play here but they were great. Highly recommend! read more

We visited this brewery two weeks ago and had a great flight selection and Charcuterie plate. The 18th Street Dozer Pils was very good. Tonight they are out of most pilsners, pale ales and blondes. The place was extremely loud with half capacity. They need to knock down the crowd noise to an acceptable level soon. Many people were complaining of this tonight. We'll keep coming to see how the beer selection improves, gets consistent with their own concoctions and the noise level is fixed. Hopefully!!!! read more

Food is great! They need to have more wheat beers available for those of us that do not like hoppy beer, which was 90% of the beer options. We could not sit inside the main area because the conversations we so overwhelmingly loud, so we sat in the foyer. Will not return until the noise level is rectified. read more

This brewery just opened a few weeks ago, but its serving some great beer, great vibes, and great times! Not serving their own beer just yet, but the atmosphere and overall experience just blows everything else in the area out of the water!
