I then called the number listed in Yelp and there was no answer. Shortly after I then received a text message from the owner saying she was helping a customer and could not answer the phone and she would call me back later. I was pleasantly surprised that she called and reached out to me to provide the new address. After receiving the new location I immediately headed there. I was a little apprehensive when I arrived because it was in a strip mall. However do not let the location fool you. This art gallery is a gem. I was intrigued with all the beautiful art, clothing and accessories that it has to offer. I ended up purchasing a beautiful piece of artwork from a local artist in the area at Gallerie 909 and I am very pleased with this purchase as well as the owner being very helpful with the process. I will continue to support this business and also feel I have made a great connection with the people I have meet here. Gallerie 909 is a great atmosphere and great people. Job well done.

A nice art co-op in down town St. Pete…read more I walked in because the door was open and it was cooler in there than it was on the street. The walls were covered with the art of approximately 20 different artist in many different mediums. From photo to photo-realism, pontilism and ceramics, there were so many different styles offered. One of the most unique ones I remember is the woman who painted with invisible (black light visible) ink. For the most part the paintings looked one way, but if you shined a black light on them, they came to life with another dimension. Yes, I made a purchase, a pen and ink drawing, simple pointillisim work on white. Absolutely stunning and very inexpensive.

We met the owner, Yvonne, who told us she's been here since 1978. She has a good variety of items including paintings, sculpture, glass, pottery, and jewelry. The Gallery also hosts four to five openings a year that take place between the months of November and April. Times and dates are listed on the website. If you are on Corey Avenue, Art Expo is definitely worth a look. PS. In addition to regular hours, the gallery can also be visited by appointment.

I asked about dimensions on one piece or a series of three pieces and then was given the price and a card with their information if I had any additional questions once I went home to check my space size.
