As several other posters have noted, if you want someone who will promise you everything you ask for and then complete about 90% of it, Vinnie is your man. Oh, you'll also get an earful from his subcontractors complaining about him (maybe that's why they won't return to finish the job)! I use this establishment about a 2 1/2 years ago less than a year and a half after the house was completed, I noticed the front wall of my home paint was fading I called the owner Vinny and told him about the issue. He told me that he would send someone to get it retouched ,and I've been quite patient. We have used this company twice. They removed the popcorn and texturized the living room ceiling which looks fantastic and they removed the old and installed the new tile in the kitchen and laundry room, also a pro job. Both times Vinny was professional and prompt to call back. The workers were also courteous and at least one on each job spoke English which is important to me. Vinny sent his guy to take down our popcorn ceiling in garage. Looked great when the guy left but the next morning the ceiling was starting to bow. His guy came back and "tacked up the ceiling" where it was bowing. Looked bad so We asked Vinny to come and take a look and he responded "Let's wait until the new year". I agreed. To make a long story short, never received an itemized quote after many requests and after he sent people to start working. Price gave over phone call changed 3 times between 2 days, still never receiving a legitimate quote in black and white. Wanted me to give my personal check to the sub contracted workers he sent to deliver to him. Never received a schedule for work to start until night before he sent someone to do work without a quote keep in mind. Work was sloppy, simple caulking just clumped up not sanded left on areas that weren't even supposed to have caulk. When workers asked for check they were here for 2 hours doing minimal touch up stuff wanted $950!!! Vinny not answering calls or texts in timely manner or at all, finally says that the contractors charge by the day so he has to charge that fee plus his, MY response is they didn't work a full day, he said I have them come to my house to do things when they finish early!!!! So I'm supposed to pay for his house work too???? No lie blew me away he would even admit that to a customer. Next day someone else shows up for wallpaper and asked for a check of $1,150. STILL HAD NOT RECEIVED A BLACK AND WHITE QUOTE, after many requests. Refused to pay until he comes in person to see the work, bring back the workers to do it correctly and pick up payment as the business owner. He continually brings up how he's battling an illness and if so I'm sorry for that, but starting to think this is how he SCAMS people into just paying. read more

I had a very specific request for Vinnz to paint half of my house. I need it done by Super Bowl. He was ready to start the next day. Had 2 different sets of painters, both polite and courteous. Very disappointed with this contractor. I spoke with him on Monday and scheduled a pre-inspection at my home that following Saturday at noon. Vinny never showed up or called but had another man come to our house however not until 1:30 p.m. He took many photos and said he would get us an estimate by Sunday from Vinny. It has been over a week and we still have not heard from them. No email, phone call or apology. We had many more projects to offer them to complete for us but they will not be receiving our business. Vinny used to be a decent painter when he did or supervised the work himself. It seems now he likes to hire cheap subs to do the work. I had him to paint part of the outside of my house and the quote was not a bargain but ok. the paint prep, wood repair and painting were poor quality. Vinny did not come out to see how the various subs he hired were doing and I found myself going around after them and pointing out the missed spots and over spray. He didn't tell me he was going to spray the house instead of roll and brush but said I should have assumed that. Also he said he would do a nice job with two coats to help sell me on his higher price. He only did one coat. Along the way one of his people broke an outdoor lantern. Then, before he was finished, he sent one of his painters to collect and I had to argue with him over the phone ( I never saw him again after he sold the job). The painter he sent agreed to correct the job but left me with a one window unfinished, lots of flaking paint and lots of mess to clean up. Vinny did offer to try again to correct the job but I said no thanks - "it might get worse" if one of these people came back again. read more

He's a good talker, makes tons of excuses, when your into for awhile and want it completed he tries to ask for more money than agreed upon, he tries to blame everything on his worker and puts on a good show with them. Called Vinny's for painting of home interior before furniture arrived on Saturday. Had 2 guys the first day, only 1 showed up the next afternoon! He overslept! Job wasn't finished on Friday. Called and left voicemail stating that paint wasn't covering and there was bleed through all over the house! Got a text on Saturday morning that no one was coming to finish the job. Would finish on Monday. Furniture arrived on Saturday. Another guy showed up on Monday to "finish" the job, but only painted the two rooms that weren't painted (main bath & laundry). Plus didn't reinstall the bathroom mirror they had taken down. They were also to paint a bathroom ceiling. When painting the ceiling, they put a ladder in a fiberglass surround and broke the shower pan in two places! Now having to get bids on repairing/replacing the shower! They say they stand behind their work, but talk is cheap! They don't stand behind their work. Not once after the estimate did the owner, Vinny, show up to see how the job was going and the crappy job his guys were doing. My daughter painted 2 bedrooms before they arrived which were not included in the bid and they were painted better than his guys. Would not recommend to anybody. read more

Had an appointment with Vinny at 11:00 am for an estimate on painting. He stressed how important it was for me to PLEASE let him know if I could not keep the appointment. Eleven o'clock came and went and so I called and left a message to confirm appt and within a few minutes Vinny returned my call and started asking me about my project. He then asked if he could send someone out later in the afternoon to give me an estimate. Told him that we had an appointment at 11 and I had scheduled my day so I could meet with him and then go back to work. His comment was "I am sorry you scheduled your entire day around a 10 minute appointment". So, while I was telling him that I wouldn't be able to schedule another appointment later in the day, he hung up on me. I am a small business owner, as well, and have many appointments of my own but felt it was important to share this with any potential customers. Vinny is VERY RUDE. read more

Stay away from this guy. I had hired him a number of times in the past few years and he comes and does the estimate but doesn't do the painting. Instead he sends a group of guys to do the work. And they do a nice job. But this last time I hired him he overcharged me significantly and then charge to be separate for everything else such as a tube of caulk and the paint. I don't like being nickel and dimed to death. Then he started calling me constantly to come back and paint some more even though I told him I wasn't ready to do anymore for at least a month. When I texted him and told him to stop calling me and I wasn't going to use him anymore his response to me was get over it. Very rude man and very bad businessman. He doesn't return calls you have to call him many many times. There's a lot of painter out there and they're all much nicer than this clown. read more

Horrible experience, A two week job turned into 4 months of torture. I should have know better when the owner shows up to give a quote in a dirty tank top. ( STRANGE I thought but It was the summer and he works in construction.) I should have know better when he talked bad about previous customers. (NOT GOOD I thought , But I work in retail I know how customers can be) He told me up front since some of the work was out side he was at the mercy of the weather. ( PROCRASTINATOR I said to myself but thought he is being proactive and telling me up front ... ) Why didn't I listen to my gut instinct????? Within the first 2 days his team got 50% of the project done.( Painted the inside of an apartment.) I was thrilled. Then next four months was TORTURE the owner Vinny never followed up with his team, never check on the progress of the property, his employees did poor quality work despite numerous, calls, threats, begging, pleading to Vinny to complete the job. All he did was apologize apologize and NEVER follow through on his word. At no time did Vinny ever do what was right by me. Even during the final walk through there was a list of 6 things that were not completed or just substandard. What makes the matter even worse he was relentless and ready to fight for every penny of the quote he gave and had a million excuses to justify his and his staffs poor performance. As much as I wanted to take the piece of $%#?! to court all I that would have happened was I would have wasted more time, energy and emotion for a little of my money back. I saw this guys ad in a coupon book and it looked pretty good. My wife called and made an appointment with him for the Thursday before Mother's Day. He called about 30 min before he was supposed to be here and wants to move the appointment to Sunday (Mother's Day). We said ok we would be home so low and behold, Vinny calls 10 minutes before the agreed time and said his wife won't let him come out to do an estimate. Again we agreed to meet the next Thursday but good ol' Vinny does another no show. Stay away from this as*hole. He can't make appointments. There are plenty of painters out there. read more

My wife called him again to ask what happened and he said he never talked to her to schedule an appointment. My wife ask if there are anyone else that does his schedule and he said its only him. He then proposed a new date to do an estimate, but my wife hesitated since he is very rude on the phone. He then said why she even call if she don't want to schedule an appointment.
