I like to bring my crack head dogs here from time to time. They always have fun with other dogs, especially the regulars dogs. Big open space for everyone to run around in. They have a small dog section for SMALL DOGS, do not come here and complain when your small dog is playing with big dogs in the BIG DOG section.

This is my baby girl right after she comes back from the dog park. She is so tired from playing with all of her dog friends.

I have been taking my dog here since she was 3 months old. This park has been a blessing. From the people that maintain it, to the dog parents that now feel like family. I would not go anywhere else. People drive out from other cities just to come to this dog park because it is the absolute best

Happy exhausted pup after the dog park!

First time visit to this park today. My service dog Loved it. She had not played with other pups in quite some time. Everyone (pups and people) was super friendly. The park was quite busy, but a Very controlled chaos... Fibi is now passed out, happily exhausted.

    Beautiful day at the park.

Under new ownership, the park is maintained and supported by volunteers and donations. The park has an operating expense of $1000.00 per month that covers insurance, legal council, restock of doggie bags, replacement/repair if equipment, and grounds maintenance. Please donate if you and your pups enjoy this place. http://www.piedmontdogs.com/ There are a lot of great features in this park that have been added within a short time period. They have logs to sit on and are also a doggie play area, benches and chairs, steps and ramps for dogs, plenty of potty containers, toys, and water bowls...bring water jugs to donate. There is a double gate to prevent dogs from running. The park is for the most part clean, safe for dogs, and spacious. Most owners are watchful of the dogs and their behaviors. You may find one or two that could care less and do little, but another will call them out on it and protect the dog being bothered along with suggesting them to remove their dog if it's a problem. Chances are, the owner is used to it and brings them anyhow. There are a variety of dogs that are all sizes and get along pretty good. Plenty of trees to provide shade and scenery. It can get busy on occasion as people find out about it which sucks because it used to be empty all the time... Hopefully it'll balance because if it gets too crowded, there can be problems. Fresh News: An area for smaller dogs is being built! Yip Yip!

Happy pups at their favorite place!

No park in a 40 mile radius even compares to Vint Hill. First off, the size of the park can't be matched. Second, it is the cleanest dog park we've been to. Third and most important, the other dog owners are the most responsible we've met at parks. This park is privately owned, maintained, and financed... however open to the public. All they ask is respect their rules and when you can donate. The park provides loads of shade, has a mulch surface, water available, and lots of seating. Parking in the immediate lot is tight, however there is an overflow lot available across the street. We have two weims, so finding enough space for them to get to a full stride is near impossible, Vint hill dog park despite the 40 minute drive is the place for us!!!

Hi.. In reference to the below listed defamation of my dog "Justice" that comment is obviously coming from a person who doesn't have a clue on dog behavior yet seems to think they can pass judgment and classify a dog as "Very Aggressive" is without merit. First and foremost, a dog park is not a playground, and dogs are not children. Since you don't know the difference, you would think to say a dog is aggressive when they're just playing like dogs.. There has been many a time that my dog has been launched on by a dog in the park, and Justice does not physically engage that dog in any way. Anyone who attends the park on a regular basis can vouch for Justice as the park peacekeeper and has never injured another dog or person in that park, or anywhere else for that matter. I have 120% control of Justice and if you "rude lady with the comment" or anyone else thinks otherwise please politely come forward and line your dog up next to mine for an obedience and control demonstration. On the contrary, he's broken up many a dog fight and shadows the unstable dogs in the park steering the rest of the pack from an attack and in the process has been bitten more than one occasion and he still never bites back.. NEVER HAS and never will. The fact that your dog sustained a boo boo, is very unfortunate I'm sorry that happened but for you automatically assume it was Justice without proof and decide to post it, is very rude. Your puppy could've gotten whatever it had on it's leg from another dog, a stick, a rock etc.. because you posted that you didn't see it until later, therefore you really don't know how or when it happened. Once again a dog park is not a playground, and dogs are not kids. Older dogs pursue and correct younger dogs by nature, that's how dogs educate each other on a primal level beyond human comprehension. Corrections, barking, snarling etc.. Aren't acts of aggression, they are forms of communication since dogs can't speak.. Let's just entertain your alleged incident involving your dog, a "Very Aggressive Dog" would've latched on and crushed your dog's leg and refuse to let it go, whipping and dragging it around attacking anything and everything that got in it's path.. That is the conduct of a "Very Aggressive Dog" is that what you witnessed? I highly doubt that, but you're quick to classify my dog to the public as "Very Aggressive" only to display ignorance and bias on your part, Ma'am. Anyone who knows and truly understands dog behavior knows the difference and when they choose to bring their dog to any dog park accepts the possibility that their dog can and will get banged up in some way especially when they're young when they run amongst a pack of dogs, it's just the nature of the beast. Since you "rude lady with the comment" obviously don't know the difference then it's probably better you don't return to the park anyway or attend any other dog park for that matter until to you properly educate yourself on dog behavior and dog park science so you can better understand the dynamics of how they conduct themselves when in a pack of dogs. The Vint Hill Dog Park is one of the best kept parks in the area, those who have volunteered their personal time to take charge of it do a fine job. Everyone who visits the park regularly can agree we're like a family and there are no "VERY AGGRESSIVE DOGS, PIT BULLS, GERMAN SHEPHERDS" who attend the park. Respectfully Submitted Jesus Perez

New deck built by volunteers now & a running water line installed. This park has been upgraded big time thanks to the help from volunteers! I want to add too that there is a post about a dog named Justice below & I have had no problem with him or his owner. When you feel like your dog is being attacked or if you feel a dog is being aggressive then I usually approached the owner instead. The people here are really nice & welcoming. Justice's owner in particular is a really nice guy & he is really understanding. A dog park is what it is .. a dog park. There will be dogs playing, fighting, or even both at times but hey that's dog behavior. Make sure you keep an eye on your pups & don't be afraid to chat with each other, that way it makes it easier to workout anything that happens between the dogs.

We frequent this park weekly. This place is awesome. It's completely funded by volunteers and donations. While we can't afford to donate, we try and bring empty milk size-gallons of water since there are no on-site water stations. The atmosphere is very friendly and very rarely are there ever any issues with violent or aggressive dogs. Parking directly next to the park can be difficult at times, but across the street, there is a giant lot. I highly recommend coming to this park. Your pets will have a blast. I do believe, however, there is a rule that no pets over the age of six months are allowed if they are not spayed or neutered.

On the way into Vint Hill you from the North you will likely spot this large expanse of land at Vint Hill. It is set for development.

My pup had a good time. Regulars there don't seem as welcoming to new comers as their dogs ;-)

Best dog park around! Always dogs here so my dog gets to have play time and plenty of room to space out.

It's a decent dog park, but the others in the area, are better than this one. Great folks and of course, dogs of all sizes in the chained up area. If you want to wear a dog out this works. There's a few benches to relax. Parking is plentiful. This spot can get crowded though. I do wish the county could upgrade it a bit. Will they? Not sure but hope so. For now it's basic, but hoping more will be added.

This dog park is very simple. Wide open space enclosed with a chain link fence. The ground consists of dirt and small gravel reminiscent of kitty litter so probably not a good park to visit after it rains because your pup will be a muddy mess. The wide open space is great for the dogs to run around though and expel some energy. So far this place is the biggest dog park in diameter than any other I've visited in the area. Plus there's a nice grassy field on the other side of the lot for those dogs that do well off leash and not within a confined area. One major dislike is that the poop filled trash cans are right within the doggy park dual gate entrance which isn't at all a welcome scent. I recommend holding your breath while you fidget with the fence to get in and out of the park.
