Horrible experience!!!!!! They shut donebour venue stating people were to drink. Though nobody was drunk. They kept shutting done bar.. The security was joke, constantly in the kitchen. He should been at the door. If he had been some of their concerns could have been prevented. The owner actually pushed my brother and attempted to push my son's. I attempted several times to have a civil conversation outside to discuss the so called issues. He actually got in my face (I'm female) and was yelling at me. My son had to intervene. They called the police on everything. We were told by the police that they have called there several times for same type of so called billshit. I would like to say the bartenders were pretty decent they were telling my special guests that there wasn't a special alcohol for them when there was. The wedding coordinator who was there at the beginning was also pretty nice. I would not recommend this place for nothing. It was a space with so much character...rustic and very vintage vibe and decor...it was a great location with parking readily available...full meal (prime rib, (horseradish and au jus) chicken Marsala, sugar glazed salmon, mac and cheese casserole, baby potatoes, glazed carrots, dinner rolls and a beautiful salad ..served buffet style...dessert was various slices of cake ..(chocolate, white, carrot, blue berry) delicious...a full open bar with lots of options...tables beautiful decorated with chocolate covered potatoes chips....(OMG.....first time having them and it won't be my last!) and full participation for everyone during the performance.....gathering clues trying to solve the murder mystery...overall the staff was amazing....shout out to the bar staff and the actors ..it was funny, (we laughed so much) random participants engaged the entire evening...great venue for many types of parties and get togethers! read more

My husband and I attended a wedding last night. While small, the venue was quite charming. The staff was not. The bartenders were extremely strict and would allow only one drink per guest at a time. I ordered a Diet Coke for myself and a beer for my spouse and they refused to give it to me. They kept closing bar service, even during dinner. When the family complained to the staff, and eventually the owner of the venue, he and his security guard, responded with yelling, foul language and borderline violence. They called the cops, kicked everyone out and shut down the venue. As someone who has worked in the restaurant/bar industry for over thirty years, the owner/staff actions and behavior were completely unprofessional and only escalated the already heated atmosphere that THEY created. I recommend you think twice about using this venue for any type of celebration. read more

I attended a wedding here on 6/28/2025, and while the decore is quaint, the vibe of management and bartenders was not! The microphone kept cutting in and out during the ceremony, the venue was so small that the bar closed twice and they stopped serving people during dinner, and during the bride & groom's and parent's dances. Additionally, a situation arose before dancing was opened to all guests that management could have handled with tactfulness and grace but chose to shutdown the reception and made all guests leave. Zero stars. I was a guest at a wedding reception tonight and I don't drink, so I have a clear understanding. The men who were hired as bartenders and one security were not pleasant to guests. I witnessed one of them yelling and pointing his finger at a woman. They stopped serving several times (not sure if that was their doing or the wedding party). After the first dances, they did not re-open the bar and when confronted by the hosts, the security and bartenders did not keep their cool. They screamed and almost started fights. I've been to several wedding before (many out of control) and this was not the case. I was frightened when they started shouting and hustled to find my children. These guys cancelled the wedding at 8p and kicked everyone out. There was no attempt to try to calm things down and re-group. It was also disappointing to be served warm beer even when the beer was dropped off at 9am. read more

Guests coming in from out of town, hotels booked, all the things bought for this wedding, dresses, tuxes, decor, food, drinks, flowers, photographer, dj and more. A year and a half worth of planning. Closed down the reception and told everyone to leave before 8pm. Bartenders, security and owner were not pleasant people and very aggressive towards guests. Screaming and yelling in their faces with foul language. Trash over flowing, no clean up of any sort. Very rude when you would go up and order a drink. Would not serve you two drinks at a time and got very mouthy with a family member when she tried getting two drinks for her and her husband. Very disappointed in the management. Words truly cannot explain how amazing this place is. When we started looking for our venue, bringing in our own food and alcohol was very important to us because my husband loves TOP shelf whiskey. We looked at two other places before looking here and once we walked in, we just knew. This place is beautiful all on its own and you do not even need to get crazy with decorations if you don't want to. There is a truly natural, vintage beauty that comes with being inside here. We worked with Rebekah, and she went above and beyond. From meetings beforehand to the million emails I would send her with questions, she made me feel like the only bride she was working with. During my big day, we completely forgot to pick up the desserts and I was about to panic. She told me not to worry and she would go pick them up. This is a place that really cares about the people that are going to have their big day there. They go out of their way to make sure your day is everything you want it to be and more. To top everything off, I send Rebekah a picture of what I was wanting, dropped everything off to her the morning of and she made it come to life more than I could have imagined. read more

If you're looking for a fun thing to do on your own or with your special someone, check out the private and group dance classes at Vintage Ballroom. The ballroom is located near Kaneko and Thunderhead Brewing. There's lots of meter parking and great distance to other shops and restaurants. When you walk in the hallway you can see cute, vintage decor like old photo frames hanging on the wall and an awesome red velvet couch. As you enter the ballroom you can see the bar area and of course a ballroom. There's sometimes wedding decor in sight, that's because they're not only a dance studio but also a wedding venue! A little about the classes, my fiance and I have been taking private dance lessons for a few weeks now with Michael, one of the dance instructors. He's been super patient and helpful and guides us every step of the way. We've also been trying out their group classes which is open to anyone and it's only $10. We've learned basics of jive and foxtrot so far. Its been a great experience so far and we can't wait till out next class. We had our wedding here in August 2020 during the height of the pandemic. Not only was theirs venue accommodating, but Rebekah kept us up to date with city restrictions and even offered to move our date if we wanted to move it to 2021. She and her team were so caring and helpful throughout the process. If you are looking for a venue with style and heart, this is the place for you. I cannot sing their praises enough. Located in the heart of downtown Omaha this is a great place to try out a dance lesson or two while learning from the best. This unique venue also doubles as a rental facility for various parties. I love the atmosphere and the culture that they have instilled within the decorations. Derek does a phenomenal job with teaching the basics and the advanced skills of traditional dance. There are open dance nights if anyone is interested in practicing their skills. Looking to tango, rumba, or waltz, call Derek. I have the highest level of respect for him and his business. Unfortunately, we had a stressful bad experience. From not having enough electrical plugs, bad drinks (their bar tenders dismissed our drink instructions), not well air conditioned room (even though the room was not at full capacity) to having the manager asking our guests to leave the place even before the agreeable time. The rate might be good compared to others places but it is not free, we wished we would have paid a little bit more and free ourselves from a rough start and end of our big day; hope we can save you the stress, pain and $! we even took the time to let our mind and feelings calm down before writing this review. read more

I'm in love with the studio! It has such a great vibe and feel, and has been nothing but welcoming to me. I recently moved to Omaha with some existing dance experience, and Rebekah has done an outstanding job of helping me improve my technique and virtually double the amount of dance knowledge I have. Derek's groups clases are also amazing, really honing in on specifics and allowing me to take even more away from the experience. Also, it is EXTREMELY affordable in comparison to some other studios, and as a 17 year old I would not be able to continue my passion for dance without their amazing pricing. This is a beautiful venue great for a wedding reception! It's not too big, but has nice wood floors and a great ambience. Unfortunately, some of the staff is very challenging to work with and was very rude. I wanted to love the place, but the disrespect and demeaning tone and actions definitely turned me away. Derek and Rebekah are some of the nicest people you could hope to meet. From their youth charity work to the free dance lessons they put on weekly for the public, they are community folks through and through. They also happen to have one of the nicest venues in town. Quaint, down home, while at the same time sleek and service-oriented are the best descriptors of the space and its proprietors. Of the folks I have sent their way, not one wasn't blown away by the reception they received in Derek and Rebekah's beautiful event space.
