I usually visit this mall whenever I'm in Modesto visiting family. I enjoy the variety of stores, especially the shoe stores and Victoria's Secret. There are plenty of shopping options to choose from, and I appreciate the value and selection available throughout the mall. One thing I tend to avoid is purchasing from the kiosk vendors. They can be very persistent when trying to make a sale. During one visit, a vendor referred to me as "Mexican." While I wasn't personally offended, I would prefer to be addressed more professionally, such as "ma'am" or simply as a customer. The service at Victoria's Secret is always excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they consistently have a great selection of clothing and perfumes that I enjoy. Overall, it's a nice mall with a good variety of stores and shopping opportunities. read more

I've been to a few places, the Apple Store, Chili's, Bob's Furniture and Dicks, everyone was really nice. I was able to get all the things I was looking for. Parking was easy. Be warned about Inspire shoe store Be aware of this store's return policy before purchasing. Returns are only issued within 30 days as store credit only, then the credit cannot be used the same day (24-hour delay), and it expires within 30 days. I told the cashier before purchasing that I might need to return items and wasn't given any guidance. There was also no manager available to help when issues came up. The policy may be posted, but it is not explained, and the overall experience felt very inflexible and frustrating. Just make sure you are 100% certain before buying. I will be using my credit app after I drive all the way back to the mall and then I will never ever be back in their store again. read more

I will never go into this mall again. The catcalling, verbal abuse, and excessive harassment by kiosk vendors is ridiculous. They seriously cannot expect people, especially women walking by themselves to become their customers. If you are female, don't walk through this mall alone, it feels so creepy and threatening. read more

I Absolutely love Vintage Fair. Better than Stoneridge and more options, trust me i've been to all the malls within 100 mile radius from Tracy and still Modesto has the best mall. So Yes This is the best mall in the area. Not many others that compare. The Disney store is gone now. Still enjoy the atmosphere, though. Long, long, long walk around this place to get from A to Z. Amazing selection of every possible store you can think of, Love that VS and Sephora along with Mac is here for me. Not to mention modestos tax you can save alot on tax due to their county fee and has tremendous value when shopping year round. Closest mall from me this side of town. Although this place have lost H&M and Forever 21 as one of their biggest clothing store, it was replaced with 2 level furniture stores. Now with Dave and Busters, Dicks Sporting Goods and JCPenney as one of their anchor stores this place is still booming with people. During busy holiday shopping they also offer valet parking closer to the entrance of the mall and people really do use this service to not get stuck parking on the very far end of the mall. They also opened Miniso store in here in which attracts shoppers to get their fill of cute mostly Sanrio items. Once you need a jolt of caffeine there is also a Starbucks located inside this mall. Their food court also had an array of cuisine you can choose from depending on your cravings that day. I do like going in here to browse around the stores and to also get my steps in at the same time. Hoping they open more stores as to not let this become one of those ghost mall that are now evident with all the online shopping going on. read more

My girlfriend and I came to this mall while we were passing through the city of Modesto. We walked the entire length of this mall, and stopped at the Sheikhs on the second floor to buy some sneakers. The ambient is what I'd expect out of most mid-tier malls nowadays. I don't know how the crowd is here during the week or daytime weekends, but the late-weekend evening I was here the place was chill. I didn't really see any bad characters at the time. The parking is plentiful, I didn't have any issue finding a spot. The area surrounding the mall is comprised of suburban residences. I didn't really get to know the area too well, as we were just passing through. But I didn't notice anything bad in the short time there. Vintage Faire Mall is a standard mall experience, no more and no less. It did its job, so five stars. read more

This mall used to be one of my favorites but it seemed to have gone down hill. They got rid of The Body Shop and H&M. I was sad to see those gone. The only place to sit is the food court. They should put in bench seating throughout the mall. read more

Absolutely terrible! I was in Tillys and I had clothes that I owned and I just needed to use a fitting room, so I asked the woman in the back and she said I need to try clothes from Tillys so I went and got a pair of pants so I could use the fitting room. She let me in and told me her boss was on her "ass" about stuff like that and I understood. I came out and another woman was glued to my ass waiting outside the fittng room and asked me If everything was okay while having her hand out to collect the pants that I used to get in the fitting room. I said yeah and was making my way out UNTIL another woman came up to me saying she found a sensor removed from a clothing item and I was the last one to walk out the room. I am almost 100% sure she just lied to my face so she can interrogate me! She basically accused me of stealing I told her she could check my bag then she responded with "No its fine just checking" or something along those lines. Yeah, never going there again. I also had this other experience at a different Tillys location where an associate welcomed me into the story and asked if I needed help and I said no. He then told me he liked my shirt and I appreciated the compliment. As I was walking out the store another associate was talking to some other customer and said the same exact thing. "By the way I like your shirt." I can not make this up and to be honest I was pretty pissed after seeing that. Today a shoe cleaner (black male) by the food court jumped right in my face "not in a uniform" I didn't know who this guy was and I had to push him away from me and tell him to get back. It's a mall with a majority of your common shopping finds: Victoria Secret, bath & body works, hot topic, BoxLunch (my favorite!), and surprisingly A LOT of jewelry stores. It's cool, so a nice break from the heat with LOTS of parking and a few electric car chargers. read more

I pick this mall any day over Stockton mall. But I only came here just to grab something to eat this time. I stopped in at the Mongolian spot as it's one of my all time places to eat. Got the large bowl with all of my fav fixings. Was super busy. But I had time to wait, simply because I was hungry and that's what I wanted to eat. Royal Massage inside Vintage Faire Mall is the absolute worst. They tell you it's $35 for 30 minutes then after 5 minutes they start asking you to extend your time and to pay more. They don't stop talking to you until you answer them. It honestly ruins the experience because massages are supposed to be calm and relaxing but they just keeping bugging you waiting for you to agree to their extra fees. I had to say no at least 10 times before they finally stopped asking me to extend my time and pay more. The 30 minutes combination massage was supposed to include a foot massage and the moment I told them no they stopped the foot massage even though it just started. It was such a terrible experience because as soon as I said no the massage just got progressively worse and they had the audacity to ask for a tip when the service wasn't even good, plus's they charge a service fee for cards. I left with a headache and more neck pain than I started with. Save yourself and don't go here. They suck. read more

One star is for being at almost-full occupancy. This is about as depressing as a mall can be without being half-vacant. I remember when it was bright, shiny, and new. It's now drifted downscale without embracing the change, so it's standard mall chains done half-heartedly rather than straight-up tacky places you've never heard of, which are at least fun. read more

This mall was pleasant to shop through, however since H&M left I no longer commonly visit. The kiosk workers on the other hand, need to heavily learn how to respect basic personal boundaries. While walking on the bottom floor, this lady came up to me out of nowhere to sit in her chair. I tried to walk away but she has extremely persistent to smell her awful conditioner / gel. She then tried to put this gel on my hair, which was WAY too invasive of my space. I did tell her I wasn't interested, but I was so overcome with my social anxiety that I couldn't finish my thoughts properly. I had to go to the men's bathroom to ease my high stress, and I left shortly after. If a kiosk worker confronts an individual the same way from my experience, the person needs to put their foot down towards those incredibly invasive vendors, and to tell them they're not interested in the slightest and to walk away. read more

I have been coming to this mall since 1977. Back in an era when there was a Weinstocks with a restaurant on the third floor. When Gottchalks had fancy clothes...when churros were called whimseyworks and there was an arcade named Tilt. (And Carl's Jr with a salad bar) Fast forward to now... I'm no longer 7 years old.... And the mall has seen better days.... Carl's jr. Didn't survive covid... As many stores didn't. The used to have a homey feel to it it was a see and be seen place. A lot of the problem isn't really the mall as it is just a change in how people shop nowadays. There used to be two bookstores two record stores a good toy store and many other things... You can hardly find a bookstore anymore... I digress. The food court honestly hasn't changed all that much, the restaurants have I suppose, although hot dog on a stick is still there and still making the same stuff! LOL I love those guys. There are a few snacks spread throughout the mall which is sort of weird, as are the pop-up kiosks all through the mall. One of the bad things about all the pop ups, is it seems a little bit flea market ish or scammy... In opposition to stores in the regular storefront. I suppose as holiday time draws near, I will find myself shopping in the mall again, but unfortunately now it doesn't hold much interest for me. I do have to say I enjoyed myself the other day with my son and I went walking through and I told him stories about coming to the mall when I was a kid. Tons of empty spots where I am standing. Too many to give a number. Why you may ask? This mall has closed a large portion of parking lot to charge $7 for parking. People are out again patronizing the business that suffered losses during Covid shutdown. Absurd to charge $7 for generally free parking. Patrons are feeling the pinch too this season and $7 to park at the mall is ridiculous. The parking lot is crowded, slow moving, people looking for a spot. All handicap spots are full and this mall disgustingly marks off isles of parking during the holiday season. Littles walking from the far back in the cold and these spots sit empty. The upgrades and renovations were noticeable during my last visit to Vintage Faire Mall. I remember stopping by this mall over 10 years ago, when I was on my way to my hairdresser in Downtown Modesto. A lot of the changes have occurred outside where they added an outdoor shopping area, which now houses "high-end" name brand stores. They have also since then added more restaurants, which is great to add more options for their shoppers. Inside, the walls and floors have been designed to have a modern feel and whatever they did - it feel much more open and bright. One big change is the huge Forever 21 store, that has two levels! I believe this used to be Macy's, but is now Forever 21 - and its huge. While I was there, I spent almost 2 hours walking around this store because its THAT big, and they have so much departments to look through. Plan ahead if you're thinking 'bout stopping by... The food court has better selection than before; Panda Express, Charlie's Philly Cheese Steaks, Mongolian BBQ, Thai Food and so much more! While they made such positive updates to the mall, the parking lot is still the same ol' same. It's alwayssssss full, so if you see a decent parking spot not too far from the entrance, take it - or else you'll waste gas driving around looking for a spot. read more

Made the mistake of coming here on the Saturday after Black Friday. It was an absolute madhouse. Screaming kids running loose without a parent in sight. It's a bit dirty. Parking is impossible. And to make matters worse there was a market out front. As if there wasn't enough foot traffic. But the worst thing of all? I got hit by the mini train that takes families on rides around the mall. And no I don't mean it just ran over my foot. The conductor came full on barreling through me (I guess neither of us saw one another) and I was thrown on top of the engine. Suffice to say I won't be come back and I will be avoiding trains. PS who's dumb idea is it to have a train drive around in the dark? read more

This mall used to be a good place to shop. Now I can't get across the mall with my shopping bags in hand without ducking n dodging the vendors or the bottlenecks of people that their carts create. On days the mall is not full some of the vendors are very pushy. read more

Be prepared if you have T Mobile that you will lose service in the mall. They have mall wifi but it takes awhile to connect. This is a standard two story mall with all the regular mall type stores. Nothing that is a specialty item. If you need shirt, pants, different styles it works. I wish the food court had more offerings. Overall all it's a 3 out of 5. I'm not mad at it and around here it's about the best choices. I prefer outlet malls best. read more

This used to be a fun place to hang out and shop, but now it's been taking over by stupid jewelry stores and the mall looks dead. I miss the old mall and its energy and wish I could time travel back to experience it again. The mall would be cooler if they stop with the stupid jewelry stores and get rid of that ridiculous furniture store that's always vacant 23/7. Could've been something that's actually the people's interest and today's trend, but I guess not cause it's money laundering. Like Veronica wrote, it's the best mall in Modesto... and it's the only mall in the area. That said, this mall is large enough to spend a good amount of time walking through both indoor floors and the outdoor section but small enough where it's not overwhelming. They have a small food court upstairs, which could be better. The exterior of the Forever 21 store is really ugly, and it's a massive store with two floors. Apple, Coach, Sephora, Chipotle, and a few other restaurants are on the outside. read more
