I was given a walkthrough and recommendations. As customers came in he made sure to greet and tend to their needs as well. I originally came in with the intention to purchase a red wine to complete a gift this holiday season and left well informed and with an even better wine as well as a few extra items. He even gift bagged the bottles and added a ribbon. The prices were reasonable. I used to stop in at least once a week when I worked at the gym. After I moved to a different gym, I was only there when visiting my parents in the neighborhood. Since I now live in Florida, I obviously do not come here often. I was friendly with the staff and owners when they were in the store very often and I frequented here a lot. When you work in the shopping center, everyone from the stores get to know each other. They were always personable and cool. They even gave my free glasses a couple of times. I recently returned when visiting my parents. Pops and I ran out of wine and ventured there. The store was the same as when I was last there. The staff was completely different though. They were not friendly or approachable either. I honestly felt like I was a teenager again shopping at Claire's... I browsed everything to compare the prices in FL. However tonight, whoever was hired to work the registers for the evening shift felt it was ok to be rude to my elderly mother-in-law. When asked where the sweet vermouth was, they felt it was ok to answer "It's right by the sign can't you see it?!" Must take a very brave young man to take that kind of tone to an elderly woman, when asked a simple question. My advice, maybe pay close attention to the quality of people you get to work your store, maybe whoever decided to mouth off for no reason should also rethink their career choices.
