Really disappointed in this Vintage Stock. Extremely bad prices, more expensive than eBay. They had hardly any of the comics or movies that I was looking for, and the ones that they did have were super overpriced. The folks who worked there were nice enough, but the guy that my friend talked to was weirdly flirtatious and overbearing. Waste of time looking for ANY video game, Funko, comic, etc in this store! The store prices all items based on the past sales prices on eBay so save your gas and save your time and just buy from eBay. Why would you pay the same price as eBay when eBay will ship the package right to your door? Apart from the price gouging, the store staff was also rude. I don't know why anyone would shop here. I stopped here at this place to kill a little time on day and I'm glad I did. Now on to the review! This place has a lot of cool nerd stuff. They got comic books, action figures, Dvds, CDs, graphic novels etc. I spent a good 30 minutes just browsing. I wish I would have had more time because this place had a really fantastic selection on their products. They even had older gaming systems along with accessories.I mean it's been a while since I've seen somebody selling a Nintendo 64. The staff here was friendly and helpful every step of the way. I did leave this place empty handed but it wasn't their fault or the businesses fault, It was my own. In short this place is nerds paradise. Just make sure you have plenty of time to kill before you come here. read more

Box of cards labeled 25 cents and then I get to the counter and they say they are 50 cents. I said the box says 25 cents so he says well they are all mixed in so now my kids just picked out cards they liked and I have to buy them because i told them to pick them from that box. What a way to get people stuck into paying more for something then advertised. I would not recommend anyone go there as when you check out they may up the price on you just because they can. Wont be going back and will be telling people to go to other stores for items. read more

Used to come to Caveman Comics all the time when I lived here before they were acquired by Vintage Stock. Usually have good experiences here, but today I stopped by and needed to open up a $2 back issue to see whether or not I already owned it. One of the employees walks over and gives me a hard time about opening the comic. I've been to many comic shops around the country and have never been hassled for opening up a comic just to check something. The employee then proceeded to stand there and watch me. So I put back everything I was going to buy and walked out. I'll shop at another store from now on. And they need to organize their bargain bin comics alphabetically. Much larger stores do a better job of making their stock easier to peruse. Will not be returning to any of the Vintage Stock locations after today. Good luck to them. read more

Went in to trade some some stuff and buy Some switch accessories. I go in with my son and the lady looked at me like she was in disgust when I told here I wanted to trade in some figures. I had them in a basket and she was like your going to have to put those on the counter really rudely. Then proceeded to is it would be 15 to 20 minutes again like she couldn't stand being there. Acted like she couldn't stand helping me so I decided not to stay and do business elsewhere where they want to help. Won't be back. I'm sure somehow this is my fault when she was talking to the other girl there as we drove away. read more

Ok this place is great as far what they have and sell. Just so much stuff that could be hard to find, I love all their toys and plushies and vintage games and movies. But sometimes their prices are outrageous, also their trade in prices are junk. What makes it worse is they purchased the Entertainmart down the street, which I felt had better trade in prices and that's a shame. Still, if you're looking for old video games and dont like using Amazon, this place is great. Plus it's fun to just look around. read more

No refunds on ANY new item. And overpriced. Went in there and was at first happy they had such a wide selection; retro games, card games, etc. Then I seen they were overcharging, $35-40 for Final Fantasy VIII, when you can currently get that game on eBay for $10-20. Whatever. I paid a premium for two PS2 controllers. I'm impatient and only getting screwed on at most $10. Later, I decided I just didn't want them. So, both stores told me I wasn't allowed to return ANY new item that has been opened. Next time I will go to Wal-Mart, eBay, ask friends, or Amazon. Vintage Stock can screw off. read more

First time going to vintage Stock's was a really awesome store for one I had video games movies figures, books a little bit of everything I never thought I would ever say really great store highly recommend it and everyone go check it out you may just find yourself being surprised when you do go down there. read more

I went to sell multiple vintage games( 8 Sega and 6 Super Nintendo) and the only offered $16 for them all together. Even tho one our games was also in there display case and being sold for $60 alone. Was very disappointed. . read more

Really enjoyed this store. Everytime I travel, I use Yelp to help me find a great local comic book store to visit. I give star ratings based on selction, ease of finding what you are looking for, limited/hard to find items, price and a bonus factor for extra geekiness such as vintage board games, action figures and toys, or used gaaming systems etc. New Selection: 3.5 stars - a decent selection, but not huge compared to the overall size of the store. This place is pretty big. Used selection: 4 stars. some popular title categorized on main table alphabetically and about 20 more 3 foot long file boxes below. Ease: 3 stars. The main table was organized, but the file boxes were not. I enjoy searching boxes sometimes (makes finding something a little more enjoyable, like you found gold or something), but not 60 linear feet and on the floor. Rare: 3 stars. They have a case in back for some rare high value stuff, but no signed copies, rare variant covers or anything of the sort. Price: 2.5 stars. This store has a few bad reviews on Google and they all appeared to center on price of buying and receiving for trade ins. I want to give them a higher score because i really don't give a shit about price if I find what I want. However, I have to stick to the rating system and I can make up for it in the overall score. Geekiness: 4.5. The depth of their geek stuff is pretty great. Atari, sega, collectibles, action figures, GI Joe, vinyl music, etc. really great selection. Does not compare to stores in NYC for collectibles, but good. OVERALL: 4.0. I know the math works out to a 3.25 but I have been in many stores and the overall feel for this place was that I could come back many times and still enjoy looking around. read more

Great selection of all sorts of collectables from baseball card to comic books and arcade systems and games both video and board. A little higher prices compared to other similar shops but with the huge selection you are sure to find whatever you may be looking for. I gave only 3 stars BECAUSE OF THEIR PRICES, but their staff is friendly, helpful and amazingly knowledgeable about most of their inventory. But if you are looking for vintage systems, old comics or cards and have money to spend, this IS the place to go. read more

These guys are terrific. I went in with a Christmas list for a teenage boy and they fixed me right up without making me feel old or out of touch...service with a smile. I did look around and saw lots of movies and cds, maybe I'll return when I need something to refresh my collection...or unload a dud that I have. Great service, great pricing. Lots of different ages of shoppers, store is open and scented with incense but not overwhelmingly so. I called the other store first and they were equally helpful. Open on Sunday! read more

I am a regular customer when I am able to head down to Springfield and I always stop here to look for comics and Pops that I am missing. I knew that they bought Pops and I had about $100 worth of ones that I wanted to sell. I brought them in and I will only say that dealing with their employees was far from pleasurable. Customer service is definitely not a priority for them. First, I was rudely "instructed" to put the Pops on the counter and then had to stand there while they looked them up on Ebay. I already knew the value of the ones I had as I am meticulous about cataloging what I have. Needless to say, a Pop that they priced on Ebay for $14 they offered $1 on. I was offered $15 for all of the POPs I had. I wanted to get rid of them so I took the offer but was given store credit. Laughs on them though, I walked out of there with 5 Pops (buy one get one free) that had a combined value of $120. Do your homework and don't use Ebay as the sole price guide, Vintage Stock. As it's one a few comic books store in the area and has older Pops, I am reluctantly forced to shop there but only once a year thankfully. All I can say is beware and do your homework if you are going to sell anything here. read more

I prefer shopping at this Vintage stock instead of the one on Kansas expressway. The Vintage Stock here on South Glenstone has much better customer service and I can usually find what I'm looking for faster. Prices are mostly okay, a little high on a few things. read more

My family and I had an unpleasant experience at the S. Glenstone store in Springfield, this evening and wanted to pass it along. My 9 year old son has a School Project, where he has to create a store to sell goods to his classmates, in order to learn about business. He decided he wanted to sell Pokemon cards, so we went to the store to pick some out of their 10 cent box. We spent 30 minutes picking out about 100 cool looking cards and took them to the front to pay. It was at that point we were told some of the cards were probably not 10 cents. The clerk proceeded to sort out half of our cards and told us around 30 were 25 cents, and twenty six of the cards were in fact, 50 cents. Her defense was a sign, innocuously taped to the front of the glass counter, that says "Card values are based on rarity not the box". That is something that should have been pointed out to us, at the beginning, not after we spent all that time sorting through the boxes. It isn't right to have the cost clearly placed on the box, and then give each card some arbitrary value once someone decides they want it. Their compromise to us, was to offer us the 50 cent cards for 25 cents instead, (which is two and a half times what they should have been). This is not much of a compromise, in my opinion. The sign they placed on the counter was only good for pointing at when they screwed up, so they could say, "see we have a sign that says we can do this." What started as a school project for my son ended up with my whole family learning a lesson...That Vintage Stock places NO value on ethical business practices or their customers. Up until this evening, I have enjoyed buying my family games, cards and cds from this store, but I am not inclined to shop there again because of this experience. read more
