It was nowhere to be found. I had carelessly lost my ticket for the item and ........they had NO record of it ever being consigned there. The owner was present that day and said it must have gone to charity if it had been there too long. I got nothing for my COACH purse, not even the benefit of the donation. My frustration was in their record keeping. She acted like I was trying to scam her or something, even though the sales lady knew me and remembered the item. Why was there no record of what had happened to my purse? The owner IS very rude also. That was my LAST experience there.

Goodwill being one of the worst I've seen (they pre pick and filter through donations and sell the best online so you're left with sloppy seconds in the store, this goes for any Goodwill). Also, I'm not a vintage shopping kind of gal, which seems to be most popular around here. It's just not the kind of apparel I wear on the regular, but if I were to shop vintage I rather score a find for a fraction of the price at a thrift store. Ok enough about my particularities, but given all that, when I walked into Southern Thrift, I knew that THIS was my place. First, the selection is huge, it's not some small boutique thrift store. Secondly, everything is nicely organized by size and apparel type, and on a Saturday the store was pretty neat, well kept, and not crowded to my surprise. They price every item individually, rather than a flat rate for all shirts, or all pants which you normally see. I bought a super casual t-shirt for $1.99 and something a little fancier for $5.99. Makes sense, as there are variations in brands, quality, and style that should be taken into account when pricing. I'm anxious to check out their other two locations (2710 Old Lebanon Rd & 5010 Charlotte Pike) in Nashville. Between all of the locations, this should take care of my thrifting binges!

The staff is refreshingly friendly and never rushes me or hovers over me. Just the way I like to shop! I think this is especially important to mention because a lot of their merchandise is religious based so it is a unique experience that needs to be savored. Today, I purchased some Christmas Home Decor that I will treasure for years! I also stopped in their treasured Prayer Room. It is a little area in the center of the room where you can write down prayers on a tag and hang it on the wall. Others are encouraged to take a tag and become a Prayer Warrior for the person who left the prayer. Today, was a very impactful visit for me. I went into Philanthropy with a heavy heart because we found out our good friend that has been battling cancer was moved to hospice. The prayer room gave me peace & I left feeling a little lighter. Thank you Philanthropy for providing such a beautiful space that brings peace to so many! Whether you are on a visit or a local of TN be sure to stop here & experience this special place!

I tend not to make my way out to Franklin very often but this incredible boutique is certainly worth the $3.75 a gallon. I know the owner Brooklyn Byrd personally but this review is based off of sheer product and layout. Clearly, I'm going to like the customer service because she's my pal but trust me when I say, I know a LOT of people and many are friends... but they certainly didn't receive a 5 star Yelp rating from me because we have drinks sometimes or brunch together. 5 stars is based purely on the unique and absolutely gorgeous jewelry, accessories, and apparel in this store. Coupled with striking merchandising and layout, Johnnie Q is where every woman should go if she wants signature pieces that not every other broad on the street will own. Plus, her price points range from totally affordable to splurge. I fell in love with some bracelets from contemporary brand House of Harlow and also some Rachel Pally dresses.
