It was serendipity that I found this place, and sure glad I did. I'm doing a cross country road…read moretrip for pleasure when I decided to take the backroads to New Orleans from Beaumont TX. I was on Route 82 going east from Port Arthur. After a short ferry ride I arrived in Cameron and was looking for a place to have a picnic lunch. That's when I noticed some open space and Murphy's RV Park. There stood a pavilion with a picnic table, it was perfect! So I called the number on their sign and Wendy answered. I told her I just wanted to picnic and wondered if there was a day use rate. She said they don't do that but since it's not busy go right ahead and enjoy yourself. I thought that was so kind and generous I decided to write this review even though I didn't have an RV or trailer or stay the night. Later I called her back to thank her and asked a few questions. They've got full hookups and WiFi, competitive rates and it's been a family business since 1953. That's 70 years of proof they're doing it right and that you should stay here with your RV or trailer. Thanks again Wendy, my dogs and I had a wonderful time!
