Recently hosted a surprise birthday toast for my husband here and I cannot stress enough how incredible the entire experience was! My husband and I had just recently discovered Vintrendi at a local festival for businesses in the area and after speaking with the owner and trying some wine, I immediately knew that I wanted to find a way to work with them. I started planning for the toast maybe a couple months in advance and communication from the entire family was amazing. Extremely responsive, answered every single question I had (thank you Donovan and Carin!) and were more than accommodating for my group. The day itself was super seamless and there were SEVERAL guests who were discovering Vintrendi for the first time at our event. A number of folks ended up inquiring about hosting their own events with them and many were raving about the wines and ordering bottles (Vintrendi Blaqberry and the Finesse Silky White were favorites). I am always looking ways to support more of our Black owned businesses so finding a place like Vintrendi that has both quality service and products was a no brainer. We were welcomed when we came in even without a reservation. Friendly staff that answered all our questions as it was our first time there. We got the flight as my friend and I have different tastes in wine. They also give you up to 3 sample sips if you still are not a fan of what you picked. They also make recommendations on your taste. The flight came with a cheese and cracker plate. We ordered an additional drink each to meet the minimum. We went on a Saturday night and there was a DJ that was good. Not too loud that you couldn't have a conversation. I was told there is also a brunch that is good and reservations are recommended. Parking is decent. You may purchase bottles of wine in the front area that are on display. It changes with the season so if you have a favorite, be sure to pick it up. It is important to note it is a $20 per person minimum. Also the tip is automatic even though you order and pay for your own food and wine through the app so not a full service place. They have a limited liquor selection so you are not forced to just drink wine if that is not your thing. read more

This was a nice little spot. Apparently you can book a tasting for their wines. We went to their "after dark" Saturday night! Everyone was so friendly and didn't hesitate to explain the menu and drinks! They have a wine flight that you can order with a list of different wines to try. If you follow my reviews, then you know, I love finding Black owned eateries and experiences. I was happy to learn that there was a Black owned winery out in the south suburbs, and they are starting to host live music nights, which I have been frequenting on the first and third Thursdays of the month. They have a small batch of wines, but I have specifically tried the specialty wines which are 20% alcohol; needless to say I usually have an amazinggggggg time there lol. They also have a nice food menu, complete with charcuterie, flatbreads, and also sandwiches all of which are really good. I really appreciate being able to order directly from my phone that is a feature I enjoy the most and I don't have to worry about closing my tab as they do it automatically for you. Definitely check this place out if you're looking for a nice girls night or just an outing with friends. read more

I went for a New Year's Eve celebration. It is a nice venue with interesting wines and drink. I had an espresso martini. The consistency of it was thin compared to others that I've had, but the flavor was good. I went with a group of friends their experiences with their drinks varied, but was overall good. One friend had the pizza (flatbread) and found it just okay. They have crab cakes newly on the menu, and they were NOT a hit. Party was definitely worth the price...$20 with party favors and champagne toast. I will definitely go back to experience it on a regular night. read more

We visited for my cousins birthday and I was shocked to learn that this place is Black Owned. Love that! We were warmly greeted and opted for the coach flight. You are able to select four pours of wine which were all delicious! I highly recommend the Chocolate Bliss! Our server Elijah was fantastic and was able to make recommendations based on preferences, and allowed us to sample countless wines. Karen was also so accommodating and explaining the QR code process. Everything was great and we had a wonderful time! My friend and I went on a Sat evening. I do recommend making reservations because the space is small. There was a DJ. It's a nice space for a date or perhaps even rent for a gathering. The young lady at the front greeted us and informed us how to order because there's not specific waiters for tables. We sat at the bar. There are no hooks under the bar to hold purses. The bar is very high or the seats are just not tall enough for the bar. It's just not a great place to sit if you are short. There were people working behind the bar preparing drinks etc but no one acknowledged us until we got one of their attention to ask questions and they were very welcoming with convo once you spoke. You order food and drinks through a QR code and it's brought out to you. So that's where some of the disconnect comes in. The wine selections were delicious especially the slushie. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed in the bites. I ordered the guacamole, store purchased, so it lacked flavor. The turkey pepperoni flat bread was a waste of money as well. 3.5 Oh really cute. African American owned spot in the far south suburbs that specialize in wines. They do have a small menu for small bites like chips and cheese platter. But if you want something substantial I definitely recommend that you do bring in your own food or I believe you can have food ordered and it's a $3.50 up charge for that which is nice. With creative innovative wines and wine based products. They have a variety of flavors of wines that I've never heard of but taste great! Went here on a Friday night and I was pretty impressed with the place. I suggest making a reservation because the place is not that big and it seems like it can fill up pretty quick especially if they have a band performing. I like the fact that you can place your orders for food/drinks online and they have good flavors of wine to choose from for the flights (which comes with a cheese tray). They ran out of the frozen strawberry drink that I wanted to try but the other one I chose (naked something) was really good. I had the Chicken avocado panini and it was tasty but next time i will get it without the dijon mustard to avoid the vinegary taste. The reason why I gave them 3 stars instead of 5 is because #1. The service was extremely slow. We were told that the head cook had an emergency or walked out (we got two different stories) and that was the reason for the food delay but to me the drinks came out kinda slow as well. I love that this is a black/family owned establishment but I think they should consider having more than 2 people working the dining area. #2. I don't really like the fact that there is a gratuity charge every time you place an order. I will definitely go back to see if the service is any faster so that I can update my review. read more

I have to start by saying my review has nothing to do with the food or drinks. That part of our visit was good. The atmosphere is really good as well. My sister and I visited this venue for the first time because one of our friends and church members were performing that night. We made a 5 pm reservation, not realizing the show wasn't starting until around 7:30 that evening. So we decided that we will just make it a full evening with food and drinks. Since we made the reservation from the plugger that was out, we were unaware that you only have so much time for the reservation spot. Long story short, around 7:30 we were told that we had to leave because there were other reservations for the seats we were sitting in. Mind you, we were on our second rounds of drinks and had spent almost $100 between the two of us. Even after explaining to the young lady that we were there for the show, she had no sympathy and said we still had to leave because they had no accommodations. I do understand if they were booked, but in no way did they try to accommodate us by saying maybe you can stand against the wall and enjoy the show. I feel that this was very poor customer service. No way would we have made a 5:00 reservations if we has known we would be put out before the show started. I don't think I will be returning! read more

This is a quaint spot with tasty wines and great music (be sure to check if you need tickets/reservations first). I got the First Class flight with the honey rose and peach. My mom had a couple of white wines. Be careful, the wines are 12 - 13% alcohol by volume. Our flight came with a charcuterie board. The cheese and crackers were tasty, and it came with grapes. My visit to this lovely place of wine was two fold. Allow me to explain: I went earlier in the day for my girlfriends private 37th bday. First time there. It is sooooo adorable and cozy inside. Colorful and warm!!! Now let's talk of these tasty sips!!!!! I had red and white semi dry. And 1 sweet. I am a huge fan of dry, so the semi dry was a treat. Not too bold/sweet, totally just right. There were finger foods: egg rolls filled with greens and the other was a southwest egg roll. I didnt have the southwest-due to my instant LOVE of the greens filled egg roll! Wowwwwwzers those were so delicious!!! We nibbled on assorted cheese and crackers. We sipped, we laughed. We nibbled more and we sipped some more. Now I know wine drinking is on the rise. Women. Are really getting their sip on(and men just the same). It totally screams "adulting". Rick and his wife(thee owners) are totally good people! They were checking in on us as the afternoon went on. So very personable! Fun fact!! Later in the evening, I came BACK to the spot for a neo soul session that had free admission!!! "The LondonKay Experience". Nice Chill hidden black owned winery located in Park Forest IL. I have been checking out this place for awhile. I finally got the opportunity to stop in on Friday after work. I drove all the way from Forest Park to support this business. I read a few of the reviews on Yelp and Google. But I had to come and visit for myself. The drive was like a mini road trip for me. I'm so glad that my first visit here was nice. The atmosphere was very nice and laid back. I was greeted with a smile from the lady behind the counter. She was pleasant and attentive. I ordered the 4 flight wine tasting which comes with assorted cheese and crackers & a few garnish green grapes. The crackers were stale and had a funny taste. But the wine had a crisp and delicious taste. Beware that All dine-in orders are subject to a 15% minimum gratuity and parties of 6 or more- 18% minimum gratuity. I can truly say that my first time here was nice and relaxing. Nice music, grown and sexy vibes, colorful decor, nice seating area and the varieties of delicious flavor wines. I celebrated my birthday @Vintrendi recently, and it was a very pleasant experience. Karen and Rick were very hospitable. My guests and I enjoyed the Silky White, Silky Red and the Sweet Red wines. I have tried, on a few occasions, to make a reservation at this place, and it's a very frustrating experience to do so. I have tried to make reservations on a Sunday at noon. The first time I tried, I never heard back from them. The second time I tried, they finally sent me an email confirming the wrong day and time. The third time, they didn't even bother to send an email. Instead, they sent me a text with a time that was THREE HOURS OFF of what I wanted. I frequent many distilleries throughout the state of Illinois, and Vintrendi is, by far, the WORST place to attempt to go to as far as making a reservation or any sort of plans to go there. Ledora T, I experienced the exact same from the Lady co-owner!!! Bland at best. I assumed she was concerned that as a man I would hit on her and thus she was seeking to dissuade me. I loved that it appeared to be Black owned. Without sampling, I purchased a bottle of wine for this reason alone, which felt good. I did not feel comfortable looking around the place and at its merchandise. I felt that she did not want me to do so, which made me feel uneasy and confused. I likely would have purchased more wine had she been a tad bit more welcoming and perhaps even pleasing. Your observation, Ledora, helps considerably. She is she. Although I have yet to drink the bottle I purchased, I will return and purchase more. I am not a fan of sweet or semi-sweet wine, which appeared to be the staple of Vintrendi's offerings. Randomly drove through DT Park Forest and discovered this place on a Friday. I stopped in and spoke with one of the owners and she was pretty dry but I assumed maybe it was because it was near closing. She informed me that I had to come back after making a reservation. I made one and came back with hubby on Monday and she was just as dry, so I guess that's just her personality. The space is cute and well kept but considering we were the only patrons, it lacked that welcoming aura that you often experience when you are doing something as intimate as a wine tasting. I'd come back but I'd love to experience better interaction with the staff as that helps add to the experience just as much as the nice decor and good wine. We purchased one bottle of wine and still haven't opened it but it was good at the tasting so I'm sure it'll be just the same.
