Seriously, this is the KING of dive bars...No matter what they do, they can't get the cigarette stink out of the walls, the drinks are stiff and they only take cash. On any given night, there is a mix of young and old and you can bet whatever game you want to see is probably on. No food- just corner bar snacks like popcorn and chips to soak up the vodka. It's great if not wanting to run into those who are about to pop a cap in the ass of someone. There's also limited hours so it's harder to get in whenever. A place that really limits when to go. This makes it harder to communicate with employees about events or other things. It's about $10 for a basic cocktail. The food is pretty basic, just things from the fryer to be honest. It's about $7 for an appetizer. They have the basics like onion rings. For sure there's a lot of events. It's located on 183rd Street at Kedzie. They're closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

My mom and I shared the Supreme pizza. Wow! The crust and ingredients are outstanding. I come here a lot and if the OGS that run it have to go to the bathroom they would put a sign on the door to let you know they will be back in 5 mins. Perfect. Cool. Every since they got this new boy. He's all over the place. You'll come to purchase from them and the doors will be locked and he'll be next door "talking to his friend". This time they open at 10am. It's a Friday at 11:30am. People are getting their things for trips, parties etc. It's FRIDAY! A few of us was waiting outside and many complained they they were waiting for over 30 mins and some said a whole hour. The door are LOCKED at 11:30. We call and knock. Then we have Grace just in case he simply went to the bathroom. After calling and knocking this guy SLIDES from the cashier station, looks at us and runs to the back. When he opens I say "hey, why don't you guys just open at 12. Because it seems since you came the times are out of wack". If there's any work that would affect opening times shouldn't that be done before or after your shift" he says NO. I said what about just putting a note on the door? He says NO. I say just move the time back an hour so you can do what needs to be done. He says NO. Just arrogant, ego driven & rude. Instead of just saying "My bad, you're right" he let his ego get ahead of him. He blamed it all on the owners (which I know isn't true because they don't play) and was just rude to those who spend money there. This only started in my experience when he got there. This video was after I first spoke to him and once he was rude to me. Saying things like "he doesn't give a f*ck". Listen if you don't wanna work the day shift. Change shift. There was HUNDREDS of dollars they lost in that time alone. Baby it's Friday about to be 80 degrees. Get it together. I only give 2 stars and not one because I REALLY love the other 2 guys that work there. They feel very homey and gives "neighborhood" liquor store feel. Never any problems with them. El Trébol Liquors & Bar is one of Chicago's awesome and old-school half bar/half liquor store…read moresetups. Unlike some of the other slashies I've been to where the areas are mixed, this one is a liquor store up front with the bar sort of hidden/tucked in the back. If you stopped in for a six-pack you'd miss the fact that it was a bar (hold for the sounds of music and people having a good time coming from out of nowhere). Once you enter the bar area, you can try to find a seat at the bar or at a table but you'll order at the bar either way. This is in Pilsen, so the primary language spoken is Spanish but the bartender was bilingual. Trébol is located in Pilsen along one of the main east/west streets that create and pass through the commercial area of the neighborhood. Two tips: First, the men's bathroom door doesn't lock, so be forewarned! Second, cash is preferred if you've got it, but if you don't, you can pay with a card up front in the liquor store area.
