For the past two years the quarterly services, customer service, and quality of work were great. Once I reached out about hearing noise in my attic, everything changed. I paid and signed up for rodent exclusion services. A few month's later, I was hearing the same noises, so I called to have someone check it out. Nov. 8, someone came out and was supposed to come back on Nov. 11 to check traps set on the 8th. No call, no show on the 11th. I called and was rescheduled for Nov. 21st. Another no call no show appointment. I haven't been able to get anyone to show up since Nov. 8th. At this point, I'm going with another company and having to pay for yet another rodent exclusion because Vinx refuses to honor our agreement and their appointments. Messaged Vinx through Yelp a couple of months ago seeking a treatment quote to prevent termites. Experienced some difficulties with the local branch in Charleston. First tech didn't come, but called and said he'd email a quote. Never got the quote (Ryan, the company owner in Texas, later told me that guy didn't work out and was let go). So Vinx sent another tech to survey my home for a quote. He came but I never got the quote. So in an effort to make it right Ryan offered me some options at very good prices. I took him up on one, a one-time home perimeter Termidor trench treatment, at a great price. When someone from Vinx called to schedule the service appointment they were shocked at the price Ryan had quoted me, but then I did opt out of the bond (protection warranty) so that reduced the cost at lot. According to the Termidor label it can last up to 10 years and will kill any termites that go through the treated dirt. Ryan seems like he'll do right by his customers and will make any problems right. Vinx also offers Centricon bait stations, that require a service agreement, which are placed about every 8 feet around your house. They're big on the Centricon service. While it costs a lot more, I'm sure the regular inspections by a Vinx tech and bond are worth it to many homeowners and give them piece of mind. Had the trench treatment done 8/15/20. Scott and the other Charleston-based tech did a nice job applying the Termidor around my house. After allowing the chemical (0.8 oz per gallon of water) to soak into the ground, they backfilled the dirt and sprayed the top layer with more Termidor. This appears to be inline with the Termidor instructions I've seen online. Hopefully this will provide extra protection to my home from subterranean termites for years to come. Although I experienced some scheduling and quote difficulties with Vinx at the start, the owner Ryan wanted to make it right, and in the end I got a good deal for a termite treatment. Give them a shot, and if you're not happy, contact Ryan and I bet he'll take care of you. read more

Beware of this company, They word is nothing, Had outside & inside pest control, Terminate inspection & Sentrican Bait Stations scheduled to be done on Saturday May 4th Agreement with (Salesman when signing contract) account of my work schedule. Saturday Technician shows up on time and starts spraying, I met him outside & told him it just got done raining, He sprayed wet grass anyway, Before he was done it was flooding again. Turf needs to be dry to bond & dry before spraying. Also said he was not going to do inside that someone else would, It Rained for several hours after treating. No one else show up, No one to spray inside & no one to do terminate inspection or install Sentrican Bait Station. Called Vinx CHS office and they said yard Technician should of done inside of house & that they would re-schedule and do yard again & inside. Also, that the Terminate inspection was re-schedule also. No one informed me. That was my only day available. That is why all appointments were set up on that Saturday. I explained to them again that was the day planed account of my work. Anyway I stopped all service and they gave me a Bill for $329.00 for an ineffective spray to my wet yard that they already agreed to spray again and had scheduled for the next Tuesday. This review has no reference to their performance or service. I'm sure it's solid! None of the multiple negative reviews have anything to do with their craft just overall disappointing interactions. I'll just leave this account of multiple rules(actually laws) and social norms/courtesies being disregarded. I've seen many negative reviews that have a weak sauce answer about "reminding employees about social distancing" but that obviously didn't happen and they did not appear to value accountability by not addressing any of the issues so it makes me think they are just trying to reach a quota. Why are your salespeople knocking on my door at 8:22pm??? For the second time, after I've already told them that I wasn't interested? Is this a way to build business....offending people as they prepare to go to bed after working hard all day? I mean our subdivision is a NO SOLICITING neighborhood (with a NO SOLICITING sign in BOLD red letters at the entrance), but some people don't care or think to read all the way! After already turning down service days ago... after seeing them soliciting to other neighbors at 9pm on our evening walks, he came back AGAIN, so I had to politely, but FIRMLY educate in several things. 1. No Soliciting ... and use the internet for ads...duh. 2. People are usually doing a multitude of things around 8pm-finishing dinner, spending time with family, watching a docu-series on Netflix, getting children ready for bed, getting an infant to sleep. What about sick people, the disabled, elderly residents, or just people with really high social anxiety? I know the war on bugs can't stop even for a minute but use your brain and be considerate! 3. If I am a potential customer.....and you have offended me....should you A-apologize or B-Blow off the person who's property you are on and dismiss everything they say and walk off ? This was the approach I witnessed. Also, his off the cuff comment was "they can do those things anytime during the day" which means 1-this person doesn't care about other people--- his only concern is hitting his sales quota 2- he thinks that time is only a construct and not a real element of the universe and babies can be put to bed anytime for their evening slumber! 4. also there's this little thing called................ THE CORONAVIRIS PANDEMIC THAT HAS KILLED HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE....maybe Vinx has heard of it? Soooooooo GLOVES, mask, 6 ft, just the general "PLEASE DON'T MAKE ME DIE BECAUSE THIS THING IS I don't know LITERALLY EVERYWHERE except New Zealand and you are literally on MY PORCH not following any guidelines???" Nothing....I feel like in the COVID19/Social Distancing Era door for door sales are stupid. These guidelines (and the potential negative results like death) haven't permeated many American's brains so seeing it person was a hoot! 5. If you knock twice and get nothing just be done. I'll allow 2. Question-is it company policy to overextend the knocking of the door until some shows up or is there a prescribed limit? So in closing, this is probably a great company for pest control.....but they are doing it wrong in our area. I just want to apologize to Cam if I scared him, I am a very energetic and passionate representative of my community. Hopefully this taught him to lead with the right foot next time since he basically used two left ones with ugly shoes-AND THE ERIN BROCKOVICH REFERENCE FOR THE WIN!!! P.S Just ran into some neighbors on the other side of the neighborhood and they feel the SAME WAY, one thought it was a scam!!! One asked if his nose was sore because he slammed the door in his face while he was still chewing his dinner. I scheduled an appointment someone was supposed to let me know 30 min ahead of time when technician was on the way my garage and back porch were the issue I don't just leave my garage open. I just happened to look out of my office and saw someone was here. This technician did the bare minimum nothing what what I asked or requested I rush down stairs open the garage he drives off I'm yelling running flagging him down he just kept going. The chat is a joke and I have called 10 times with no answer. By far the worst pest control company I've had and I'm canceling this is unacceptable. read more

Representatives from Vinx Pest Control have been going door to door soliciting west of the Ashley and have been spotted in numerous neighborhoods including Village Green and throughout Grand Oaks Plantation. The female solicitor is VERY aggressive and rude and will not take no for an answer even when you plainly tell her you are not interested. These are the most rude, abrasive and aggressive door to door solicitors I've ever encountered and for that reason I would NEVER use Vinx Pest Control! read more

They were great in the beginning then kept getting sloppier and quicker. When i signed up i loved everything about vinx. Well i cancelled because the last time the technician was out he was only here for 10 mins. You can not spray and scrub a house in that time frame. Maybe he did this because he didnt think anyone was home. I called and messaged them they never tried to fix the problem until i cancelled. Anywho i cancelled them now i keep getting texts from them to come back. They sure dont know how to loose customers.
