Excellent selection and curation across many genres. Definitely worth your time. Nice selection of turntables and components too.

Great selection of records. I wish I lived in the area because I would be a regular. They have some very good, hard to find 80s albums and also new prints of classic rock if you are looking for those.

One of the few great businesses I found in VA beach and a fine record store. You might have trouble locating this place as it's located on the inner right side of the shopping area. Try not to miss it because they have one of the most diverse selections of music at affordable prices. Found me some good gems such as Ma$e's Harlem World and Peaches & Herb's 2 Hot. Plus they have listening stations to sample your music before purchasing. In addition to records, there's shirts and equipment such as turntables and speakers. But we know that you're here for the records and LPs. There's something for everyone here for all genres. I strongly encourage you to check out the section behind the curtain on the left side. It's clearance bin where there's goodies for cheap. Or you can look at the rare/autographed bin up front which should be labeled high roller. As the great Edward Van Halen asked, "how could you live in a world without music?" I couldn't imagine!

I've been here three times now and they always have something I want. Plenty of genres and price ranges that anyone can afford. Also one of the only record stores in Virginia Beach so I'm glad it's a nice one! Would 100% recommend you check out if you like vinyl records!

Great shop! Plenty of music selections!

Great place for old school vinyls and hard to find classics! Martin and Ben have an amazing collection of music! From David Bowie to the Led Zeppelin... You could spend all day here! They are conveniently located by Eurasia, so you can eat and then saunter over to check out the extensive music collection! Did I mention they would also buy your old vinyls? It's like a warehouse where you can swap and save! So come check it out!

The Shins LP recorded live at Jack White's Third Man Records. Nice!

Really great selection of vinyl. Went in looking for a particular LP (The Shins live at Thrird Man Records). Not only did they have it...but it was at a great price too. I've been price checking the going rate on eBay and Amazon. Good thing with Vinyl Daze...no shipping charge! Since my last visit to the store ( which was probably Record Store Day 2014) they've added a whole room of turntables for sale. (They also buy them too). Really nice customer service from the sales young lady. I highly recommend Vinyl Daze!

What a gem of a store! My friend and I were visiting the area for some concerts and luckily kind of stumbled onto this place. The owner could not have been nicer and he really knows his stuff! You can tell he is truly into music and knows a lot about all genres. Not only was the owner welcoming, helpful and knowledgable...he had quite a nice inventory. I recommend this place for any and all music and vinyl fans.

I shared this with Dave & Steph

Just cannot say enough about Stephanie (sorry if spelling is wrong) and Dave! I'm a huge Joy Division and New Order fan...it was meant to be when I walked in and saw a JD album on the shelf. Ended up leaving with 2 pieces but wanting 4 more. They even have an awesome USB connected AT turntable aka the 1200 series I ran in 1982-1984. Flashback time. If I lived in VA Beach I would need a second job to support my vinyl habit :-) This is a store I will detour to for music on any future visit to the area.

I bought a Jimi Hendrix hat because I thought I owed them something for their hospitality. It's a cool hat and I wear it all the time now to remind me of that strange afternoon. It was sometime in March. I'd bought a hot dog and a Dr. Pepper from the 7-Eleven on 17th Street. I ate and drank as I walked down the sidewalk and right in front of Half Moon - something happened. I have a theory about why some hot dogs agree with your stomach and some don't, but I won't go into it. It mainly deals with physics and pork farm sanitation. Anyway, this hot dog was NOT agreeing with me. I quickly finished it, but immediately regretted it. My stomach rumbled with a bewildered groan and I knew I had to get to a bathroom soon. I started to get dizzy and my body let out a loud bubbling sound. I did the "clenched cheek jog" right into Half Moon. The person behind the counter must have knew that something was wrong with me, because he pointed right to the bathroom. I tried to say "Thanks", but all that came out was a wet burp. I was in there for a good long time. I think they played a complete Grateful Dead concert recording. Thank goodness for the loud, numerous guitar solos. Upon emerging, I suggested that they should burn some incense in the bathroom. The clerk grabbed about 30 sticks and lit all of them. Somebody, I guess the manager or a customer, suggested I lie on the couch for a while and relax. I did and no sooner than 5 minutes into relaxing - I had to rush back into the bathroom! I stayed for the rest of the day, going from couch to bathroom. Back and forth and back and forth. The staff and customers were all so friendly when I explained what happened. Many shared similar experiences. We all agreed that 7-Eleven should not be in the hot dog business! They were closing, so I had to go. I will definitely be back this summer to buy some sort of bongo drum.
