I normally do not sign up for customer rewards, but as a first time buyer, coupon and other discounts it was well worth it especially for Berger Lampe refills alone. After driving 40 minutes to shop for squishes with my son, we arrived at Learning Express. The…read moreselection was solid, we had picked out a couple of their more expensive squishies ($20) and were still looking when we touched a squishy to see how it felt (it said "try me" on the box). Immediately I was approached by an employee and told I needed to purchase the item ($24.99 strawberry squishy) because I had touched it. We continued to shop and upon checkout was forced to purchase the strawberry even though I disagreed. The majority of their toys are being touched by customers but I was singled out and made to purchase the additional item because we had touched one as well? Because my son and I aren't white like the rest of the employees and customers that were in the store? Terrible customer service! To make things better, there is not such policy on their corporate site.
