Bought a disposable vape ($20). Tried it in the shop and it seemed to be working fine - although the drag seemed really light. Within a couple of hours I noticed why - only one of the lights at the bottom were coming on. Within about 4 hours, the vape was blinking (meaning it was about to quit). Took it back and they said sorry, once you leave there is nothing we can do. Had my receipt to show I had bought it a few hours prior. Wish I could rate it lower. I have been a long time customer over the past 2.5 years, consistently choosing them over other option purely for convenience of the area. I had bought a $30 device, that has a charging port. I tried to use it in the lot and figured the device was just dead, went home to charge it and found out it completely doesn't work. Now I'm out of $30 and have spend even more money for a different one. I usually don't make a big deal, but these people know me, I've been shopping there forever and they know I am military. Complete disrespect to their customers and servicemen and women who chose them over over countless options. I called to let them know and they told me that there's nothing they can do and that I need to contact the manufacturer. I spent hours trying to do so to no avail. Edit- i needed to go to a vape shop and this was the only one on my way so i stopped. When i got my vape i gave my number and they told me i had a free vape for my warranty so they did make it right in the long run. I am leaving the negative review because i feel that people still need to k ow my negative experience. But i also feel that it does show alot that they correted the issue. Do not go here! I have been going here for awhile now because of having my child with me I cannot go Inside so the curbside was helpful. But I purchased a pen there today. Got home to it not working. I called and they told me there was nothing they could do because I didn't try it in the parking lot or Inside. This was hands down the worst vape shop I have ever been to. I moved to the area from California and this was the closest shop to me. I went in looking for a vape juice with no nicotine that I could pair with my cbd oil. I've been to vape shops in other states and tend to trust the recommendations of the workers but this time did not go in my favor. I asked the first guy I spoke with for a juice for my Smoke Vape with NO nicotine. He recommended a juice that sounded grate. I paid and didn't think twice. Until I got in the car and read the ingredients. The last one was nicotine! I brought it back in and again he tried to convince me that it was ok and it was a requirement to be put on the label. He also went further to say every juice in their shop would show the same thing. I then asked for a manager. She also tried to tell me the same thing. She said everything would have a similar label. At this point I asked for a refund because I'm not smoking something that explicitly says nicotine. I'm not addicted now and I don't want to become addicted. She then called someone else and after another 5 minutes or so explained to me that she can't do a refund only an exchange. I decide to take it upon myself to read the labels of the testers. I settle on one I like, lemon twist in the flavor pink punch lemonade. The girl working tells me that it contains nicotine. After a bit of bantering she tells me I can check the box if I don't believe her so she heads it to me and turns to her friends behind the counter to giggle and chat while I read the ingredients: USP Kosher vegetable glycerin, USP Kosher propylene glycol, natural and artificial flavoring. Confident that she was wrong I told her there is no nicotine and I will take it. She looked both shocked and annoyed until she looked at one of the boxes herself and saw that there in fact, was no nicotine in the juice. The atmosphere was very hostile. I've never been to a vape shop where people don't read the labels on products. This is a dangerous habit for workers to get in. They could easily be selling customers the wrong products and it is the worst possible first impression of Texas. Please do some kind of training with your employees here. I don't know where they got this belief that they have more knowledge than the ingredients label of products but it is wildly unprofessional and unacceptable. read more

Finally talking my boyfriend into trying a vape to quit smoking, took him into Violet Vapors. We had some trouble getting someone to help us as we could not tell who worked there and who didn't then after several minutes a guy finally asked us if he could help us. He recommended a Kanger Topbox Mini, he set it up for us and walked us through the basics. Within a few hours the tank began leaking, not leaking a few drops, IT WOULD LEAK HALF OF A TANK OF JUICE JUST SITTING ON THE COUNTER! The next afternoon we took it back to the store, the employee said it needed to be cleaned and the coil needed to be replaced. He then says the coils that are included in the kit are substandard and that this is a frequent issue. He then tells me that I need to buy coils. We tell him that we will go ahead and purchase a pack of 5 Kanger coils. As we stand at the counter waiting for him to ring our purchase up, a young girl walks in the door with some very revealing clothing and he was all over her. We ended up walking out the door without the coils. JUST A THOUGHT-if the coils that came with the mod were made by Kanger, why would you buy more Kanger coils if they suck so bad??? A couple of days later we thought we would try again later in the evening, once again we walk into a frat party atmosphere and try to get some help. IT WAS THE SAME GUY FROM THE PREVIOUS VISIT. He tells us it is dirty and we need coils because the one that came in our kit is substandard. As he is cleaning the tank he drops it and it hits a bar stool. He picks it up and places it back on the counter. After he finds the new coils he picks the tank up and says, "Here is your problem, your glass is broken!" The tank wasn't broken it was shattered!!! He knows he dropped it and broke it, but makes it seem like he is doing us a favor by replacing it. After running around the shop trying to find another tank to take the glass from he makes another comment about how he is going to replace the coil and tank glass for free. We thanked him and then left. We we get home we notice IT IS STILL LEAKING!!! We took it back again, this time the same guy was there again as well as the owner. At first, they tell that it was leaking because we needed to turn the wattage up and use it more and it would stop leaking! (They set up the wattage for us when we bought it and it had not been changed) When that excuse didn't work they try to convince us that some leaking from the tank is NORMAL!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM VIOLET VAPOR! I have been using a vape off and on for a couple of years and never had any issues until I went here!!! The staff is very knowledgeable, it would have been nice if the staff could apply that knowledge to solutions to problems vs. excuses to problems. read more

Three years ago, this would have been a 5 star review. Since opening their other to locations, staff quality has suffered immensely. They're sure of their products when they sell them to you, but after they are clueless. They're unsure about their uses of lvg and hvg and which vapes use which, if they need a special coil or not. They have no idea about their stock or when more gets in, and never call when something you've ordered has come in. There is also a weird thing that happened where they chit chat with people hanging out and don't even ask someone walking in what they're there for. They're nice enough, just pretty crappy with customer service when you're not their pal it would seem. I gave them four chances in the past two months. I quit smoking regular cigarettes with them and got my first vape in the month or two they opened. That was three years ago. I'm so disappointed in what has happened. House juice is terrible, has the consistency of water and has no discernible flavor. Bought a 30 ml of their house juice and it was so thin it actually leaked out of my Silo. The taste was harsh and hard to distinguish any actual taste from. Looked at the label and found out it was made 6 months ago, which I was told was normal when I called them about it. I don't need to go to a shop to buy house juice that is 6 months old. Bought a .5 ohm coil and was given a .2 ohm coil, which did nothing but burn with the new super watery juice they sold me. Threw both in the trash and I have no plans to return to this store. Side note, when I bought the juice and opened it, the safety seal didn't even break because it was never screwed down all the way when it was made. So I'm sure the air got in there and ruined the juice while it was sitting on a shelf for 6 months. But if you ask them, everything is fine with their juice. read more

I bought a box mod and tank came with it. When I returned to buy new coils for the tank the lady there told me they don't sell them. What good is getting a tank and being unable to purchase replacement coils for it. The thing is, they're the ones that recommended I buy that setup and knew that replacement coils for that tank were unavailable when they sold it to me and did not mention it at that time. I've noticed the few times I've been there that their staff tends to focus their attention on regulars who seem to just hanging out. I guess since I'm not one of their regular customers they felt no need to be upfront about their products. read more
