A little background information on the situation. We took our dog to stay at this "resort" for four days while we were out of town. We were told it would cost $65 including an exit bath, which would be given on the last day of our dog's stay. Fast forward to the day of pickup. We call the establishment to make sure that our dog had been bathed and that she was ready for pickup. It turns out the owner decided to go ahead and give her a bath the day we dropped her off. This sort of defeats the purpose of an exit bath, since she has to stay there two more days collecting whatever filth is present in that building (and what I could see in the back was plenty.) The owner explained that they decided to bathe our dog three days early because their groomer had an appointment on the day of pickup. This is not that big of a deal, but it would have been nice to have been told ahead of time. We arrive for pickup and are given a printout of the receipt. The total read $88. My wife explained to the owner that we had been told that the total would be $65, and response the owner had was that our dog was heavier than they anticipated. This does not make much sense to us, since she has our dog's medical records which has all the information and our dog has been here before. I asked the owner how she could just change the price, since it was preestablished before we even brought our dog in. This is where the truly unprofessional part starts. As my wife began to pull out more money from her purse (at this point we just wanted to be done with this interaction) the owner picks up the receipt and says "you know what..." and tears the receipt up in front of us, storms off and continues "just take your DAMN dog." My wife and I were at a loss for words. A few moments later our dog comes running out and naturally is ecstatic to see us. The lady comes out with our dog's bed and throws it at our feet and said "take your stuff and get out", and stormed off into her office. I still could not believe the "owner" of an establishment would treat people like this. I asked her through her office door "are you the owner?" No response. "Ma'am, are you the owner?" Without looking up from her desk she replied "yes" in the most condescending tone I had ever heard. I am disgusted with the way we were treated by this place of business. Normally I just let things like this go, but as soon as we got home, we gave our girl a once over to see how the clean she was, and naturally she was dusty and dirty from the remaining three days of her stay at this kennel. My baby is now elderly and they have worked with making sure that she isn't constantly surrounded by more active dogs. When possible, she is grouped with elderly dogs. If she is the only old lady there, then she stays inside with the workers in a more calm environment. All-in-all, five stars!

I took my mini australian shepherd in for a grooming and they completely botched him. As people SHOULD know, you cannot shave an aussie due to their undercoat. My aussie was returned to me way shorter than i asked and when confronted, the groomer denied everything and acted like she didn't care. I will NEVER come back again.

Gypsy has a bit of that…read moreclassic sassy Eskimo attitude, and we had just arrived in Del Rio after a 7-day road trip that included camping--so she definitely needed some TLC. We did the de-shedding and full body cut, and Aleida worked wonders. She got out all the matted fur, handled Gypsy beautifully, and had her looking fabulous in just 2.5 hours, which was impressive given the condition of her coat. Our only small complaint is that we couldn't tip using a credit card. Other than that, the experience was excellent from start to finish. We will definitely be back to have Gypsy groomed here again. Highly recommend Aleida and Petsense!

We appreciated the quick call and reschedule. Appointments were available quickly. At drop off, they did a thoughtful job of explaining options, shampoos for sensitive skin, etc. Our dog can be a handful, and they did an outstanding job. He was happy and we are happy. How much? - was so happy to have an appointment my sweet dog and I got there early and waited in the car. When time came there was no signage so we walked to the door but that was our second mistake. Finally found the RIGHT way to go and the "assistant" groomer pointed to a kennel for my gentle soul. Told her I was gonna wait and she tried to discourage that and when I insisted told me I'd "have to wait in the car." Gosh, do I have to? Instead I released my girl and we went home. What a horrible vibe and way to do business.

We have him bathed frequently, hes loved and complimented were ever we go.....all reports from these folks was how difficult he was..... They kept saying he was A Pitt and they had to call in groomer to do him.....he was clean and his nail were drummeled..... We were going to bring our other dogs to them...... Apparently it's not a good fit.....
