Since Mark left, the place is unfriendly and the new owner is wrecking the ambiance of a great place. Avoid this place. Pete

After living in the GB area for a long time and hearing all the rave about LL and their great…read morewings, we finally gave it a shot. Let me tell you, all hype. Start out by having to chase the bartender down for a drink and to order, but hey...it's a Packer home weekend so I'm understanding. We ordered our wings "extra crispy" with 5 different types of sauces. I had a hunch when I placed the order that the bartender was like "yeah...ok.." to my crispy wing preference but figured since all they do is wings, they got this, right?! Wrong. Wings came out rubbery and gelatinous like I despise and the ranch/blue cheese would've been better at a 7-11. Since I was hungry and there was nobody who checked back anyways, I ate a few and I'm sure the rest will taste much better after I crisp them up in the air fryer. I paid my bill and the waitress asked "how was everything?" To which I responded "not very good" (which I NEVER DO" because I'm not a picky eater. She turned around and walked away without a word. Cool. Thanks. In summary, go to The Bar, make them at home, but don't waste your $ here. Can't believe they have such a cult following.

Atmosphere: Cute little place located in a cluster of small buildings/shops. There is a lot of…read morenatural lighting in here. It's a wide open space so during busy hours it is quite loud. They have ample bar seating and table seating. Decent amount of parking. The elevator right when you enter takes you down to the bathroom, I didn't use them so I'm not sure on cleanliness. The actual restaurant itself was very clean. Service: They have a method set up where you have multiple people assisting you throughout the entire experience. Someone to bring waters, someone to take your order and bring the check, people to bring out food. Everyone was friendly and we had our water glasses refilled once. Food: The food was okay. I'm really torn on the experience because some reviews said the food was over seasoned but ours was a weird mix. Appetizers- The cheese curds were so tiny (they were smaller than my thumb nail) that all you tasted was batter and salt. The lobster bisque was really over seasoned and it needed acid (fresh lemon wedge on the side would have been nice). It was super rich which is expected but it needed something to break it up. I think they tried doing that with the creme fraiche on top but it didn't work. Entrees- I had the lobster cobb salad and my partner had the lobster rolls. The lobster rolls were super tiny so they were still hungry when they left and there wasn't much flavor or filling. The french fries were decent, probably the best part of the meal. The lobster cobb salad was so bland. Whatever dressing they had on the lettuce tasted of just avocado, which doesn't have a lot of flavor. The lobster itself was sweet in flavor but the cooking of it felt off, it was stringy? I ended up leaving most of the salad on my plate. I'm thinking we just ordered the wrong items off of the menu based off of other reviews. But it's quite a long drive for us to come here so I can't see us going out of our way to come back.

Hands down the best East Coast oysters I've had in the Midwest. We also ordered the Bacon Whiskey…read moreShrimp and risotto and the crab poor boy sandwiches with pomme frittes. Both were very good. The sandwiches were small however. The angel food shortcake was delicious. Good pour on the wine also. The service was great. Probably the best restaurant in this area. Casual during the day. Business Casual in the evenings. Make reservations.
