Atmosphere: Cute little place located in a cluster of small buildings/shops. There is a lot of natural lighting in here. It's a wide open space so during busy hours it is quite loud. They have ample bar seating and table seating. Decent amount of parking. The elevator right when you enter takes you down to the bathroom, I didn't use them so I'm not sure on cleanliness. The actual restaurant itself was very clean. Service: They have a method set up where you have multiple people assisting you throughout the entire experience. Someone to bring waters, someone to take your order and bring the check, people to bring out food. Everyone was friendly and we had our water glasses refilled once. Food: The food was okay. I'm really torn on the experience because some reviews said the food was over seasoned but ours was a weird mix. Appetizers- The cheese curds were so tiny (they were smaller than my thumb nail) that all you tasted was batter and salt. The lobster bisque was really over seasoned and it needed acid (fresh lemon wedge on the side would have been nice). It was super rich which is expected but it needed something to break it up. I think they tried doing that with the creme fraiche on top but it didn't work. Entrees- I had the lobster cobb salad and my partner had the lobster rolls. The lobster rolls were super tiny so they were still hungry when they left and there wasn't much flavor or filling. The french fries were decent, probably the best part of the meal. The lobster cobb salad was so bland. Whatever dressing they had on the lettuce tasted of just avocado, which doesn't have a lot of flavor. The lobster itself was sweet in flavor but the cooking of it felt off, it was stringy? I ended up leaving most of the salad on my plate. I'm thinking we just ordered the wrong items off of the menu based off of other reviews. But it's quite a long drive for us to come here so I can't see us going out of our way to come back. read more

Simply the best food in the area. I know this type of restaurant is not everyone's cup of tea but it is worth it. The dates and the beet salad are a must. The mussels can do no wrong. And the shrimp and grits and lemon chicken will never disappoint. But my favorite dish I've had is the GRILLED LOCH DUART SALMON - creamy manhattan blue crab sauce, crispy idaho potato, tarragon butter. I did not lick the plate clean because I wanted to show some restraint but I would have if it was socially acceptable. Still the only hold up is the bathroom situation. It's cold. It's a hassle (elevator trip to the basement) and it simply does not add to the experience. But that being said this is still a one of one for me in our area. read more

It wasn't a great experience. My partner and I have only been once. Orders were messed up and accountability was placed on me. Which was nuts. I'm not very picky, put the orders and food received was not the same. So not great. However, the food was good and the location and atmosphere is nice. We received a $200 gift card to eat at Bleu a year ago. We enjoyed a nice dinner but did not use the entire amount ($71 remained unused). Our waiter told us we could bring in our receipt to use the remainder the next time we visited the restaurant. We brought in the receipt recently, but our waitress told us that we could use the remainder because we did not have a gift card. We did not receive one. She said she asked her manager to resolve the discrepancy. She took my name and phone number and said the manager would call me. We have not gotten a call two weeks later and are very disappointed. We recently took a friend to Bleu to celebrate her birthday. We love the ambiance and our friend had never been there. Maddie was our server and she made some great suggestions. We never would have tried the Medjool Dates without her suggestion, but they were absolutely delicious. We also shared the Roasted Corn and Crab Risotto, and my husband got the Lobster Bisque. We also enjoyed dinner rolls with herb butter. It was nice that something so simple could be so fabulous. Such an enjoyable start to the evening. My friend and I each got the tenderloin, and my husband got the ribeye. Absolutely mouthwatering. So wonderful. I had to take a box home, and the leftovers were equally delicious the next day. Food was delicious and exceeded expectations. My only qualm being that I asked for medium rare on my tenderloin and it was completely well-done... however, still seasoned well and tender. Just disappointing. The shrimp and grits were fantastic. My husband ordered it and I ended up eating a bunch of his meal, haha. The outside seating was wonderful as the weather wasn't too hot, there was a nice breeze and the umbrellas provided perfect shading. There were some ducklings with their momma out on the pond our table overlooked, which made the meal that much more pleasant. Excellent fine dining in De Pere! The ingredients are very fresh and top quality. The owner/chef is a great person and very friendly! Everything on the menu is worth ordering but some of their stand outs are the bacon wrapped dates for an appetizer and the lemon chicken main. I booked a reservation for 8:45pm for two. We felt rushed from the moment we were seated. If it wasn't for the excitement of trying out this place for the first time I would have left right away. The room was hot and swampy, stupid me dressed for ac. We ordered cocktails, an appetizer and salad. We had to order entrees right after. We had our wine poured with our salad, cocktails still on the table. The appetizer never made it out. The salad was bland and the crab was off putting and very chewy (which is probably what made us both sick). Our main entrees were delicious. It was still very rushed, no time to really enjoy it with people cleaning around you. No time for dessert or coffee as the kitchen had already closed. I honestly don't understand the other reviews of this place. The seats are uncomfortable to start. We ordered a mocktail (very good), hot tea ($6 for a tea) and a beer. That was the highlight of the meal. The bread service was... bread. I would have preferred many other restaurants bread though. The fried chicken confit was served hot and the chicken was cooked very well but it was salty. I'm assuming they brine the chicken. The burger was good but over seasoned. I wish it was hot but neither were the fries. The Caesar salad was large but not the best dressing. Add a protein (chicken) which was very good, pricey too at $12 for a chicken breast. The service was very slow. I wouldn't mind normally but like I started, it was uncomfortable seating. By the time I was done I was excited to be leaving. Needless to say I won't be back. read more

Then you were pleased with what you have chosen. We picked a few small and medium bites to share - lobster bisque, stuffed dates, shrimp & grits, scallops and banana foster. Everything was plated beautifully and prepared deliciously. The place is neat. Please remember to look up and try to count how many doors are up on the ceiling! There are tables for couples, for family and for large groups (sitting on hightop long tables!). The bar is fully equipped and bar seatings are also available. Beer drinkers might be slightly disappointed because there aren't taps. However, they do carry some Wisconsin craft bottle/can beers. We were traveling and stopped in on a Saturday night at 6:30. The friendly hostess told us they didn't have a table until 8 but the bar was open seating with full menu. We grabbed 2 seats, explained we only had an hour and he told us that was plenty of time. We ordered the calamari, goat cheese curds and the mushroom ravioli to share, one word, YUMMY! I will crave those ravioli! Homemade bread with tasty garlic butter was also served. The bartender was attentive without being intrusive and got us out in our hour timeframe. Came on 7.15 for restaurant week. Service was SLOW. I understand its restaurant week but to be on site for 2 hours for 3 courses is not acceptable. Took us over 30 minutes to get dessert. Hubby had lobster bisque to start. Tasted like pumpkin pie with extra cinnamon -not good to eat-made our stomachs hurt. I had the Empanadas, the were cold and soggy. Entrée -hubby had brisket that was cold and rock hard. It was like a hockey puck. I had the Pork Ribeye which was great. That is the reason for 2 stars. For dessert, hubby had Crème Brulee and I had Pineapple upside down cake. My cake was so dry that i had cotton mouth after eating it. Hubby's Brulee was okay but fruit on top was black and wilted. You sit very close to everyone but it's pretty loud with conversations and music that it almost zones out and you can speak at a normal level rather than whispering. The portion sizes have been greatly reduced. Two pieces of asparagus as the first course was surprising. The second was a very small piece of cod with 1 carrot slice and 4 small potato pieces. The taste was delicious, but I was still hungry after my $16 lunch. I completely understand the rising cost of labor and goods, but don't let that compromise your reputation. Was in the Green Bay Area for a work trip and was very satisfied with my experience at Bleu Restaurant & Lounge. We started off with some oysters, bread (deliiiicious herb butter), & a bottle of Cabernet. We were greeted promptly by the hostess and waiter. I ordered the New York strip, which was recommended by our server, and my coworker ordered off the daily specials menu and got the rack of lamb, and 14oz. Ribeye. My meal was amazing (pictured). It was cooked perfectly medium rare, the potatoes were heavenly, and I enjoyed the simplicity of the salad. The potatoes were perfectly crispy and had a great flavor profile. The steak was topped with a red wine sauce that I loved. Overall it was a great meal. The ambiance was enjoyable as well, very unique and original. I loved how the ceiling was made of a hodge podge of doors, and the light fixtures paired well. It was a very comfortable atmosphere with great lighting. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a nice meal in the Green Bay Area. It is an intimate place, with quality food. I had an excellent meal at Bleu. The environment is really nice, it is a bit loud though (somewhat expected at 7:30pm.) the decor is really pretty as well, and I felt like I was properly tended to.
