Additionally for those 5 star reviews that the STAFF is posting get your facts straight instead of just calling out the SUPPOSED DRUNK people and posting false advertisement to get more business.

Emma is super sweet. (Unrelated, I talked to her recently and told her I had a baby and she sent me a gift. She is just the sweetest). On to the bad...This wedding venue made it hard to do business. They don't answer the phone, and they will find multiple ways to charge you extra and this is not revealed until you pay your deposit. I paid all my wedding payments to someone at the venue and they later told me I should NOT have been paying that person so they made me give them statements to show I actually paid. They even called me one month and asked me to make an extra payment for the month for my wedding so one of their employees could go to a conference in California- the audacity! (Keep in mind this is the same person they said I should not have been paying). I had to drive up there just to get in contact with the owner to share my experience. The owners are so sweet and seem to be unaware of what their employee/s are doing. I chose this venue because I loved the glass balls hanging from the ceiling and they told me they could put tealights in them, but leading up to my wedding they told me I would have to pay for their new new tealights because their old ones broke and they also tried to charge me to turn them on- this was not made clear to me at first. I was hurt and mislead because this is the one thing I wanted for my wedding, but because they made it so hard for me and my wedding planner, she made up for it in other ways and my wedding came out beautiful. Brides should not be stressed...they def stressed me out. Also, they used my wedding pictures on yelp, in their e-mail signatures, and their website without my permission- I didn't sign anything saying they could use my pictures. They are taking credit for my event planner's work. The sad part is that even though I had a subpar experience I would have signed and allowed them to use my pics because mu wedding was there and I understand that sometimes venues make mistakes and they are at the mercy of their employees sometimes. To be honest, it's very nerve racking because I am not a professional photographer. I'm just a dad who has a really nice camera because I got tired of getting fuzzy photo's while on vacation with my wife and children. Even though I can't see myself doing this for a living, I'm always honored when people I know trust me with such an important day. My friends got married here last weekend and out of the 4 weddings I've been asked to be the lead photographer, this place has to be my favorite location. Quaint is defined as having an old-fashioned attractiveness or charm; oddly picturesque. Thompson House and Gardens is the quintessential poster child for the word quaint. From a photographer's standpoint, they offer beautifully manicured lawns with a variety of venues scattered around the grounds for prime photo opportunities. Sweeping lawns, fountains, Roman gazebo and even an old west saloon make for fun photos. Also, the house has a wraparound porch and the rear is equipped with a long rustic outdoor bar, barn-like shed, adorable mini-guest house and vine covered trellis walkway. The outdoor setting for a lawn wedding is as romantic as I've ever seen and the reception hall is picture perfect for both dining and dancing. The wedding party used the upper part of the home for pre-wedding preparations and privacy. Since the event was catered, there was no need for the kitchen, but there is one available. THE VERDICT It is absolutely beautiful here! Every guest I spoke with was in complete awe of this place, including myself. My wife and I have been considering renewing our vows for our 15th Anniversary next year and Thompson House & Gardens is going to be tops on my list. If you are looking for an excellent venue for your wedding, I highly recommend you consider hosting it here.

Even if it is just bringing a bottle of wine in for yourself. The sales person you initially meet with Will make you promises than the wedding coordinator will not know what you are talking about. They will nickel and dime you for every little thing. Our wedding coordinator was friendly, but they will ALWAYS prioritize their vendors when an issue is brought up. We chose the all-inclusive package expecting professionalism, coordination, and accountability. Instead, when multiple issues happened with one of their preferred vendors (the DJ), management and the wedding planner immediately defended the vendor rather than genuinely addressing our concerns. Important moments during our wedding were mishandled, including incorrect announcements, poor coordination, timeline confusion, and even the wrong versions of songs being played during the ceremony. Afterward, instead of accountability, we received a long response full of excuses blaming apps, timing, and "live event conditions." My advice to future couples: if you use this venue, strongly consider bringing your own outside vendors instead of using the inclusive package. Once the wedding is over, it feels very clear where the venue's loyalty lies -- with their preferred vendors they continue working with, not with the couples who paid thousands for their special day.

Ty'Asia and Elizabeth were phenomenal. They were on top of every detail from start to finish, and anytime we needed something, they were right there making sure it was handled quickly and with care. The Food was fresh, flavorful, and enjoyed by everyone. Since we (the parents of the bride) couldn't be everywhere at once, we checked in with several guests afterward - every single one of them said the venue was stunning, the service was excellent, and the waitstaff was attentive and professional. Whatever guests needed, the staff provided without hesitation. Most importantly, the Bride and Groom were thrilled with how their special day turned out.
