The place is very clean, and I really appreciate that they can usually get me in for an appointment even last minute since sometimes it's a spur-of-the-moment decision. They have some incredible masseuses, although a few are just OK depending on who you get. This last visit wasn't my favorite, but overall I'd still say this place is worth trying. read more

My hubby and I came here for a couples massage and not once were we asked if we had any areas of pain or what type of pressure we would prefer or nothing. We walked in and the receptionist who was very friendly welcomed us. Then we were called back to the couples room. The older man who led us back didn't speak any English. He just pointed which we figured out meant enter the room. We got our massages and my massage guy I felt knew what he was doing as everything he did was symmetrical and he even asked me to let him know if the pressure was too much. I felt this is so important. It was my first time having a male massage me but he did great. Now the older guy who didn't speak English was my hubbys masseuse and my hubby said he told him the pressure was too much and yet still didn't change. He said it felt like the masseuse was just doing random things and he actually said he felt worse after the massage which is something no paying customer should ever experience. The rooms are clean and spacious. They have very affordable packages. I just wish they would ask customers their preference prior to and ask about the style of massage they would like ie deep tissue etc. Not sure if we will be back. read more

Hubby and I were gifted a 60 min foot massage. Let me just say, it's not something I would gift anyone, but to each their own. We called for a same day appt and we were able to come within 2 hours. The receptionist is really nice and when we got there there was hardly any wait. I didn't know what to expect. We weren't asked if we've been here before or told what the next steps were. Did I imagine a spa chair and soaking of my feet? Yes. Did we walk in and it was completely opposite, yes. So if you're thinking about getting this service, let me prep you. You walk in a large room with maybe 6-7 beds. It's like a community room for different services. Side note- I did see two different private rooms- one room with one bed and the other with two. We were directed to the last two beds. Confused? Yes, so were we. I was eyeing my hubby asking if we were going to be laying down. He of course didn't know. They give you a basket to place your belongings- Shoes, purse, socks, etc. They want you to take off your jacket or sweater and your watch. This wasn't anything they tell you. We basically figured it out with hand gestures and questions. They bring out a personal soaking tub for your feet. Ok the awkward part is they want you to soak and then lay down. So your legs are not straight but in a 90 degree angle. They do place a blanket on you which keeps you nice and warm. Next awkward part- they start massaging your head and forehead area including eyebrows. Tip- don't war makeup. I started to question whether they had our service wrong hmm. After head they go to neck and arms. The neck massage ngl was pretty good. It's just a bit odd with a shirt on. So here's a tip- don't wear a shirt with that you don't want the neckline to stretch! When they finally get to your legs/feet, they lift them up and you are able to stretch them straight. They do a fantastic job with the foot and leg massage. Afterwards, they have you turn over. They do a brief full body massage over a blanket and yes you are fully dressed. There's some stretching involved they have you thinking you're at a chiropractor. The massage was nice however and the pressure was excellent. Please note, the entire time..you will hear outside sounds. As in, doors opening, chatter, other patrons and the next door restaurant noise. Overall, I would say, the time they spent was 20% feet and 80% everything else. Absolutely what I was not thinking. I wish there was a bit of better communication that included details of this service. TBH, I don't like my head or face touched for any massage. 3.5 1 star for affordable pricing ($40 for 60 min) 1 star for the massage pressure 1 star for the nice welcome/greeting when you arrive. .5 star for the actual foot massage. I don't know why I keep coming here because I never really leave feeling relaxed. I don't want to completely bash this place so I'll talk about the positives. They are pretty convenient and always have availability whenever I call for a last minute appointment. The receptionist is very friendly and so are the masseuses. The usual place I currently go to was not open so I decided to give this place another try. When we arrived it was a bit busy and a couple people were waiting with us in the lobby. My husband enjoyed his massage overall but for some reason every time I go here, the person I get is way too strong and I always ask if they can be softer and use lighter pressure on me. They say okay but still continue to use hard pressure on me which leaves it hard for me to feel relaxed. I've honestly gone here a couple times throughout the years. I also always get a person who is either coughing or smells like food or cigarettes. Today my person kept burping. Anyways, this place is seems pretty popular. I feel like I keep going back because I don't know where else to go and the prices are decent. I also feel like they don't do any inappropriate activity here lol my that's just my opinion. This use to be my spot, I hadn't been in a few months, today I noticed this was a new staff/mgmt. Jason was my normal person and The nice lady who I'd always chat with At the front who knew my name and massage bc I came regularly. Today, was the exact reason I stopped going to the other quick fix massage place, the DEMAND THAT you pay a TIP of their liking is crazy. You don't know my struggles nor did I ask you to work here. First off it Doesn't say Tip included, second I always Tip I didn't want to add tip to the card for taxes but I forgot the new law is in effect so there's no tip so I gave $9 of all the cash I had and was met with 90 mins this all ummmm I gave 12% that's all I had but being strong armed to add a additional $5 so that a scene wasn't made was ridiculou. That was so rude and it made me feel very uncomfortable being I was in front of other customers. The foot massage was not that great using the gau sha tool is not was I'm use to in previous. I work a very labor-intensive job, and finding true relief for my body isn't easy--but Lucy and Joanne have absolutely mastered their craft. I like my massages very strong, and they deliver every single time with the perfect grip and pressure. They also take the time to listen carefully to what I need and are incredibly attentive and precise with sensitive areas. Did a chair massage today. The person doing it was good but the chair was awful. I felt like I was going to fall out of it several times and it sqeaked. The cushioning was awful on the head and the chair head part ran across my throat. The chair was not comfortable at all. Plus they charged me $80 for 60 mins. I'm not sure why it was so expensive when a full body is $60. I was not told there was an extra charge for chair. I also was placed by the door Two old men were farting in the room. It was gross. . I came here for a 90 minute body massage after a long business trip. My body was aching and needed a lot of work. The prices are reasonable, at $90 for 90 minutes. The masseuse I had was okay, he didn't check in if the pressure was okay or not and I felt his nails a lot so it wasn't very pleasant. Also the room is super COLD!!! There needs to be a heater or something in the massage room. The table isn't heated so that didn't help either. On top of that, the ambiance isn't so great since it's next to a buffet and you can hear chairs shifting around, and the walls are very thin. Also the light was still on in the room. I didn't have a relaxing experience because of these cons. The massage again, was okay, not that great but not bad either. You get what you pay for here. They do stretch which was nice but I felt super exposed and a bit uncomfortable especially with having a male masseuse. read more

Came here for a 90 minute full body massage for two. They took us to a private room with two massage beds. PROS: - They know what they're doing when it comes to the massage, they get out all knots and the pressure is just right. - Full body means FULL body. I was surprised they did my face and scalp all the way down to my toes. - Room was clean with dim lighting and relaxing music - Hot towels are used to wipe off oil after each extremity is massaged CONS: - My #1 drawback is the headrest on the massage table. OMG soooo painful. I couldn't relax because my forehead was going numb from the pain since there's very little cushion on the headrest. Tbh I didn't think I was gonna make it through but thankfully I was asked to turn over but that was about an hour later. - It was cold in the room and only a thin blanket was used to cover me up - The room smelled like someone just ate lunch in there. No aromatherapy or pleasant scent in the place. Bottom line, it's a great massage for the price. Gets the kinks out and massages head to toe. But don't expect a relaxing, comfortable, aromatherapy massage. read more

I was able to make a last minute appointment here, 2 days before, when my massage appointment at a different place got canceled. They have a receptionist dedicated to answering calls, and she is super nice and courteous in person and on the phone. This makes a huge difference, because it sets the tone. This isn't usually the vibe at other Asian Massage businesses so this was a nice difference. The outside of the business isn't called VIP Foot Spa. It's called Gateway Massage lol So when I got here, I had to double check the maps and address to make sure I was at the right place. It's right next door on the left of Home Town buffet, just FYI. I got in, checked in at the front, and had a seat. This seems like it used to be a cash only business, however I saw a sign that said they can take CC however there is a $2-3 fee, depending on how much you spend. I'm not a fan of convenience fees so if you're like me... bring cash! I opted for the combo massage which is a full body one. This one will put you in a private room since you get fully nakey. If you go with any other massage, you'll be lined up in one big room with like 8 other beds/people. That's not really my jam, I like my own space, so just keep this in mind if you like some privacy too when you're getting massaged. When I was put into the room, I wasn't instructed to fully undress so I semi undressed, and waited, just to be sure. When the masseuse knocked and came in, she was really surprised to see me clothed. So then I asked her if I undress and she said yes, everything. So she gave me another minute to strip and hop into the bed. You can expect very little communication, and very limited English FYI. She was nice, but there wasn't much instruction. At the end, it's usually a couple claps on your legs, arms or body, they say "okay" and they leave lol This is common practice for Asian massages so don't be offended. Just because it costs a little less doesn't mean the massage isn't good. You're not getting a spa experience but you get a good, deep tissue massage. I will say the business felt clean too.. just not fancy. No warming beds or anything like that, but it's good enough when you just need your knots worked out. I'm sure you can communicate where you might need extra attention, or you can just go with the flow and let them do what they want (that's usually how I roll). Their private room had a mirror to check yourself out when you get dressed. Leave quietly as you pass the public big massage room on your way in/out. They'll give you a small cup of water while you pay and then send you on your merry way. I'll definitely come back whenever I just want a no frills type of massage. read more

No unfortunately not, me and my mom wanted to get a nice massage cause we've been working non stop busting our butts at work 5-6 days a week, and my female masseuse was so heavy handed on me. **REVIEW IS FOR THEIR BODY MASSAGE** Called Thursday and made an appointment for Friday morning with no problem. Super accommodating and super friendly on the phone. When I got there they didn't try to pressure me into a longer or more expensive appointment like similar massage parlors have in the past. The lobby was clean, room was clean and warm and the lighting was great. My only issue was the portion of the table that you set your face on when laying on your stomach was quite uncomfortable. It felt too hard or stiff and I found myself adjusting for comfort instead of relaxing or sleeping. That was my only issue. The prices were great, people were friend and environment was right. My favorite massage spot! Hours are convenient and you can walk in without an appointment (most of the time) with under 15 minute wait. Prices are fair and they even have Hot stone! They don't haggle you over a certain tip amount either. Highly recommend Larry & Pete. They have different techniques but both give great massage and will ask if you want soft/med/hard pressure. I only take off one star because there is now a buffet directly next door and it is causing two issues to me. a bit loud at certain times, I used to frequent during lunch hour but do not go during lunch or Sunday afternoons. Smell, you can smell the foods. I know lots of ppl have allergies to essential oils/scents but there needs to be maybe a purifier because this brings down the experience for me. Overall I will be back, just not during the buffets rush hours and possibly a mask with my own scent on it haha read more

We came back & had a terrible 60-minute experience. This time, we said we were okay with the open space instead of a private room. BIG mistake! The beds in the common area aren't flat & are very awkward. We told the English speaking receptionist that my husband wanted a female, so there no roughness. None were available, so he said he wanted no roughness. His worker was rough. I heard him 8 times tell him, "too rough." The guy kept being rough. We both left in worse shape than we came in. (I still tipped my worker because she tried her best. I could tell it was very hard working on me in such an awkward setup. It was not her fault I didn't have a good experience.) I tried going to other massage places, but they were booked up. So I called the receptionist to tell her our experience today & also that the private beds we had before were okay. I was *HOPING* to be offered us another massage today on the more comfortable private beds. She did not. I waited 40 minutes to see if she'd call me back & offer. Nope. $120 wasted & we are worse, with no offer to make it right. That's not good customer service. So now this place is getting a bad review from me. read more

This place is my normal place to go for a quick massage and recommend everyone who asks for a place. I'm a tipper, if you do your job and do it good I have no prob tipping you to let you know how good it was. That recommendation will change with how the service was today. I do like the fact that they usually get you in the same day. I called for a 7:00 reservation for 2 1 hour foot massage, I arrive a little late due to traffic @7:05. The guy who massaged me must have been new because it was horrible. The guy gave me a smedium towel with no blanket, so my arms were exposed on the side(cold the entire time), I wasn't stretched at all, no time on my shoulders while he was rubbing my neck and when he took my feet out of the water he damn near let them air dry (didn't wrap them in a towel at all) when came to my back all he did was push down my back and legs. I was not happy at all. I paid in cash for the service and even though I wasn't happy with my massage at all I was still tipping something. I hand the front desk lady $5 and she looked at me dumbfound and chuckled. I asked " is there a problem?" She didn't speak and just stared at me... so I had to ask again" is there a problem?" She then says " was it not good?" So I replied no mine wasn't, I was not happy with mine at all.. I'm not sure about my husbands but mine no... and instead of asking what was the problem and why was I not happy.. she keeps staring at me and then says "ok never mind" I reminded her that "It's a tip.. is there a problem with my tip?" And no response so at that point I ask for my $5 back since it was a problem with it and ended up giving it to a veteran out front who appreciated it more. Due to the front desk response and how she acted I will not return. We had our own couple's room in the back. They started with the body massage, and I was instantly in pure relaxation mode. The gentleman who worked on me just had the perfect amount of pressure, and he had worked through the knots in my muscles in a way that felt effective, but not too painful. Came back after nearly two years and I think this place is under new ownership which turned out to not be a good thing. Prices have increased (not surprising due to inflation) however they are now flat out greedy. I had a 90 minute massage which was advertised for $90. I handed over my card but was charged a couple of extra dollars (the additional fee for using a card was not posted anywhere). After adding a tip which was over 20%, the manager says "No no no. Have been here dozens of times and it's my go-to place. Good prices for pretty good massages. I usually just do the foot reflexology massage because the price is so good but I've gotten a couple full body massages and those are great too. Tonight I had Hannah and she was amazing, I think she'll be who I ask for from now on! I usually can book a time day of or the day before, but have also been able to be seen without an appt, might just have to wait a bit. The only thing I wish they'd change is the music is either not on half the time or so quiet you can't hear it over the rustling of people around you, or even the new hibachi place next door.
