Worst experience of my life. My dip manicure is lumpy and uneven, the man doing my mother's pedicure CUT her toe & kept pouring alcohol on it after she told him it hurts and asked him to stop. They did not discount her pedicure and still charged $215 for 2 mediocre pedicures & a sham of a manicure. Please don't waste your time or money at this salon. read more

Every time I've gone to VIP, Tom has done my manicure and I've never been disappointed! He always does a great job. Like some other reviews I've read have said, he does begin by soaking your fingers in warm acetone (not too hot for me), but it does irritate my sensitive skin a little bit. He's always sure to moisturize my skin afterwards, so it doesn't bother me. I've only gotten a pedicure once, and wasn't super impressed by it, and haven't gotten one since. (I'm not sure the name of the woman who did my toes, someone else in the salon could be better.) Their prices are VERY reasonable. I've never made an appointment, or had to wait to have my nails done. Tom is always very quick, but detailed when doing my nails! I'd recommend him to anyone. read more

Went here for the first time ever today and was unimpressed. The tools that she used weren't clean, which is the major factor leading to a poor review. She pulled multiple loose tools from a drawer to use on me, and many of them had remnants of nail and skin on them already. The manicure turned out mediocre at best, with my nails on the left being shaped totally different than my nails on the right. read more

I liked this business. I really did. Then I went back a second time and got hurt. The man working on my nails reached under a nail and clipped something off. He clipped skin with it. I bled. I continued to bleed. Three days later I am still hurting. Hopefully I will be able to fight off the infection. He saw the blood but never offered an apology, or a way to stop the bleeding, or at least disinfect the wound. I am doing the best I can at home to disinfect the cut and help it heal. But I will never go back to this place. Too bad. They have some really nice people there. read more

I went because I heard a lot of good things about this place, however I had one of the worst experiences. Kenny started off doing my nails and then switched me to a different person. He buffed and ground my nails so hard at least 6 of them bled. I don't like leaving bad reviews but I'm really scared one of my fingers is infected. My fingers are still raw a day later, and I can't do anything with my hands right now because they hurt so bad. I'm just really disappointed because the nails themselves look so beautiful! But the pain of ripping up the skin around my nails wasn't worth it. read more

This place is a joke, the first girl glued my tips on with a gap between my real nail and the tip, I asked for dip but did not get the dip procedure, the guy used a brush to a apply the power to my nail so the color did not come out as dark as it should have and was not even , looked like I requested tie dye nails. Do not waste your money here, they will give you half ass service for top dollar prices, and then stare at you at check out when it comes time to give them a tip... read more

I wish I could give less then a star. First time try this place wanted to give it a try because it had good reviews. But things did Not go well at all! First of all I had a new guy which I know everyone has to start somewhere .. but when i asked if he was new he said no..that was a lie. He was doing so bad the owners wife stepped in to finish finish/start over! Which was okay once said and done , but i had polish on my skin afterwards i had to ask her to touch up a few areas she missed on my Nail. But as i said .. it was okay. Then I asked for a eye brow wax and things went from bad to awful ! I've gotten my eye brows done many many times & I could tell something was not right ... just like I knew the Nail guy was NEW! But when I saw them I almost cried ! She had waxed off a huge area of my brow, they were so thin but only on one brow! It was sooo bad & she denied it when I noticed. She kept saying .. "NO I just Touched it up" . Wow ! It's one thing to make a mistake and I know it happens but it another to be so bold and deny it ! Like lady if my other brow is way thinker how did it get so thin on the other side if u didn't do it! & still she denied it! They were completely botched ! I actually had to leave from there and go to the mall to get them fixed and even the lady fixing them was like wow ... "I'm so sorry she did that to you". I should have taken a picture but I was so embarrassed and just so worried about fixing them! Not sure if this was a bad day for them or me ... but it was Bad ! This is the BEST place I've ever been to to get nails/waxing done. Tom is the owner and once he knows your name he will always know it! They are so friendly and always helpful. They are moderately priced and do nails, pedicures, and waxing. They are always busy, but usually can fit you in. It is one of the best experiences I ever had at a nail salon! I went yesterday for the first time. I was immediately acknowledged and asked what I wanted. I had come in for a pedicure and they said they had a 5 off sale of any pedicure 35 or less so I chose the 40 for the price of 35. BONUS! Why not enjoy an even more heavenly experience. So I was very thoroughly taken care of and asked about nails since I hadn't had nails in over a year . I thought it wouldn't hurt to try them again. They owner I guess is the one who took of me and with such precise detail he applied my colored nail tips. They were $38 and although it was a little pricey, the nails he put on we're the best I have ever had. I will be definitely going back. Everyone was very nice and both jobs were done well. read more

I will never come back. When I walked in, I was greeted rudely by just a "what do you want?" I told them what I needed and they let me pick my color. I needed to soak off my previous nails, but the Acetone was so hot I had to take out my nails because it was burning and slowly put them in and out. When I told the lady what I wanted, she added the tips to my nails but only on the point where my nails were grown out, so if for some reason I did heavy lifting, my nail could have potentially ripped off. The worst part was when I was trying to explain what style I wanted, I had to be moved to a different chair and the guy was very rude. I explained I wanted a Dipped nail. Usually with dip they paint your nail with the primer and dip your finger into the powder and continue to do that till you have full coverage. He then proceeded to dip an acrylic brush into the acrylic solution and then put it in the powder I wanted and even tried to tell me it was the same thing... Confused I stopped him and asked what he was doing and restated I wanted a dipped nail. HE SCOFFED AT ME!! Then said well dip is 35 plus since it's long nail 5 dollars more, then because of nail shape 5 dollars on top of that. (also 5 dollars for removal of prior nails which I expected) I was going to ask a question when the phone rang and he decides to pick it up and answer. (there were two other people there who could have answered the phone) while talking to the other customer on the phone, he tried talking to me and asking me questions, which I found rude not only for me but also for the person on the other end. After ending the call I told him to remove the tips the lady applied, I wanted to go somewhere else. He huffed and said "OK fine" and proceeded to roughly use the dremel to shave the tip off, leaving the tip still on the tips of my real nail. He did it so rough he took a chunk of my real nail off. He offered for me to go wash my hands but I didn't wash my hands because I wanted to get out of there so bad. This is not the first time I've been here, I've attempted to come to this place once prior for a simple fill and they treated me like they didn't want my business. Never greeted me till it got awkward that I was staring at them for so long. Never come here. Ever. I was debating on whether to write this, but I've had several others tell me of the bad service they received here and I just want people to know what they're getting when they come here. Hopefully this business sees this and decides to change what they're doing. Just because they got new massage chairs in doesn't mean they provide a good service. read more

There was a very short wait, but they took their time to do the job correctly. Everyone seems to know what they were doing. The chairs are very nice and up to date, and the decoration and was nice with a television in a location that was easy to see from any chair. There was a large selection of colors from which to choose. This place is very clean. The only problem I had was a very slight language barrier, but it was manageable. If I could give this place no stars I would. First off I would like the mention that all the tools used were disgusting and dirty, they were jumping from person to person without cleaning the tools at all, and it make it worse they cut me multiple times with the nasty tools. I was there for 4 hours all I was getting was a full set, but they kept leaving me in the middle of my set to go and start or finish another customer. I asked a price before I sat down and when it was time to pay the price went up by 20 dollars. When getting my nails done I told 2 different employees that one of my fingers where crooked, yet no one fixed it and when I mentioned it again they said it was fixed. Horrible place horrible service. My sister also got her nails done with me and yet again they cut her multiple times and even after she asked for then do be more gentle with the drill they didn't and she was cut.... again. To add on my nails didn't last a week, they broke right away because of how thin they were. I didn't even get crazy long nails so here I am not even 2 weeks later with no nails on my fingers that I paid 60 dollars for. read more

Best pedicure for price in town, and I have tried most places. Ohni (spelling?) was/is the best pedicure I have had yet, the massage was amazing and just what this pregnant lady needed. First unprofessional nail salon I have ever been to in Lubbock, Texas. I went on my lunch break and asked for acrylic and shellac. Tom sat me down and started doing my nails...all of a sudden his 2:00pm appointment showed up and he seemed quite hesitant. He asked me if I could come back later because his appointment had arrived. I had a good experience in the past , the last time I had a pedicure, a young kooky young man waited on me , I asked for some one who knows haw to remove ingrown nail . He said he is an expert . He cut my toe nail and mad me bleed . I had to ask him to put alcohols !!! he was making fun of me because I was uncomfortable !! and bleeding . He did really bad job polishing my nails I got out with my toe bleeding really bad nail polish . I really had bad experiences.
