During my wait I seen two other unhappy customers return with nail problems and the owner looked irritated but helped them. One thing that is very unprofessional at these nail salons are that they speak their own language which can make a customer feel very uncomfortable. Finally when it was my turn, the lady rushed, got nail polish on everything and took less than 5 minutes with me. Now, its been less than 24 hours and my nail polish has chipped, so I will be going back to get them fixed up. After today, I will no longer be going to this salon for my nail needs, sorry.

That being said, I went a couple times when I first moved to Brampton, and it was always busy when I stopped by the plaza, so I thought that was a good sign. To be honest, wasn't anything special about my first couple visits, standard mani/pedi, and the massage was always pretty short and not hard enough even when asked for more pressure. The staff tend to chit chat a lot with each other and didn't seem to want to talk to me when I tried chatting with any of my nail techs. My final visit was really, to put it bluntly, down-right dangerous! The nail tech doing my pedi decided to watch the movie playing on their tv, which is at the back of the salon. She was so interested in the movie that she clearly wasn't looking at any of her work while she continued to use sharp tools on my skin! Eventually I started timing her to see how long it would take her to turn away from the tv. It was minutes! I also had to remind her to use the scrapping tool for calluses. Lastly, when she smudged the nail polish, instead of taking off the previous 2 coats, she tried to put another coat on! I had to politely ask her to remove it and please redo that one nail, which she clearly wasn't happy about judging from her sour facial expression. That was my last appointment, because I work in the beauty/service industry too, and while I know sometimes it's tough, I can't even imagine treating my clients with such disregard.

I guess the lady who did my nails was being nice about it so I didn't wanna be a "Karen", but the guy that works there who's always grumpy and always on his phone did not care about what I had to say, if you're gonna be miserable looking at your job you should quit... it's not a good excuse explaining to me they don't speak English very well which hinders their customer service, but take the effort to learn because you're in Canada. Usually I go to Miki Nails in Pacific Mall however I live in Brampton and didn't want to travel all the way to Scarborough to remove my nails so I opted for a place close by. I called in a day before to make an appointment & the guy over the phone told me to just walk-in the next day... I walked in and there was a line-up I had to wait at least half an hour, I didn't mind though I'm usually a patient person. Anyway I ended up getting Vu to do my nails which I was pretty content about since I heard great things about him from my old co-worker and the reviews from here. I GUESS - giving him the benefit of the doubt here - that it was really busy so he tried to finish as quick as he can... however that really isn't a good enough excuse for the condition my nails were in when I left - sloppy, uneven, horrible horrible! He kept telling me that my nails were weak after the removal and that he'll "try his best". After the removal, he literally used a nail clipper and clipped off the ends of my nails and filed a few of them for literally 2 seconds.... I kept thinking that he'll file them more properly and nicely after but then he went to paint my nails.. Pretty much upset at this point but I didn't want to say anything because it was super busy. And to top it all off throughout the entire process he kept boasting about how Vietnamese people are so much better than Chinese people at doing nails services after I told him that I usually go to Pacific Mall to get my nails done. Like really? I wasn't even going to tip him because of how horrible the experience was but I felt bad and ended up tipping him still. Right after I left I went to wal-mart and bought some nail polish remover and nail clippers and re-did them myself at my boyfriend's house and they turned out 100x better... which is sad considering he's the expert. I am so in love with the job Thom did on my nails. I have only been getting this service for about a month at home and these are my favorite dip nails I've ever had. She made them look so natural people couldn't tell it was dipped. If I lived in Canada this would be my regular spot. I'd recommend you call ahead for appointments as they seem to stay busy.
