Great job with the rug cleaning, our Heriz looks refreshed and smells clean. Friendly service, and these guys sure know their rugs. When you have an expensive rug, you too will want to make sure it is in good hands. Originally I stopped in to have the underside edges of our antique Heriz stitched with leather to help keep them straight and maintain the integrity of the rug. I stored a Turkish rug incorrectly. After a moth/beetle attack, they noshed a palm size area, with the fibers gone or weakened. One spot was down to the weft & warp. I was so depressed by my mishandling, I did not take a picture of the damage. VIP Rug Cleaning had 4.9 and 5.0 ratings, so I did not search for price quotes. I wanted confidence in a company's work record. They confirmed the repair would be in-house; matching the vibrant colors would not be a problem. After two weeks, I collected my rug & was very happy with the work. Being hung & never walked on, it did not need a cleaning. In the horizontal picture, the repair is on the left side. Vertical picture: repair is opposite the end showing fringe. I am very satisfied with the repair. Also, I have purchased another wool rug via OfferUp. This company was great to work with and made everything so easy! They are very responsive, answered all my questions, and were very fair in pricing. I had a large handwoven rug that needed to be cut down into 2 rugs. They picked up and dropped off the rug which is the hardest part and most appreciated. I needed my large wool area rug cleaned but was so worried about it leaving the house. I gave them a try based on good recommendations and my rug is back and in brand new condition again! They picked up the day after I called, removed and disposed of my old rug pad for free. They then delivered my rug back at my convenience (a weekend), trimmed my new pad to fit and moved my furniture back for me. They did all of this with a smile and for half the price Stanley Steamer had quoted me! You just don't see customer service like this any more! My rug is fluffy and feels like the day I bought it. I took my rug to them as they are closer and had 5 star reviews. I have a fairly expensive wool Persian rug that had pet stains. They did a fine job removing the stains, however they left cleaning product on the rug that made the wool fibers stick together, and the red color from one of the animals bled into the cream surrounding fibers. First they denied that it bled, then they they tried to fix it but there it doesn't look any different. And to remove the product and "unstick" the fibers from each other, they brushed the wool and created a layer of fuzz that wasn't there before.
