I don't know why I am not assigning this a 1 star. I guess I am being generous. 6 months into owning this rug... the seam started peeling off. It looks terrible. My designer asked them to come get it ... as it was not cheap... and fix it. I was told I need to drive it to them and that it was because my vacuum was too strong. Lol. Ok. After getting the room measurements, we found an in stock carpet, which is so beautiful and soft. They were able to get installation within days. WOW! They removed LVP as well as took the old carpet and pad away. Overall, communication, professionalism and efficiency were 10/10. We used Carpet Exchange for the carpeting throughout a new house my in-laws purchased. We found them through numerous glowing reviews we read on Park Cities Chatter. The move in date was very tight and when the Karastan carpet arrived it had been mislabeled from the factory and was the wrong color! The movers were scheduled to arrive in three days and it usually takes at least two weeks to order new carpet. We were panicked and that is an understatement! With the help of Abby at Carpet Exchange, we had new carpet delivered in just days and they assured us their installation team would work overtime to get it installed before the movers arrived. They did an amazing job, solved a huge problem they did not create, provided constant communication and did in one day what normally takes two. Their installers were polite and professional and did an amazing job. Before leaving they asked if we were totally happy with the installation and we were. I can't say enough about how professional and responsive Carpet Exchange was to work with. We worked with Abby and she is a superstar. Can't recommend them highly enough. read more

We bought our wood flooring here three years ago, within a month we noticed it was staining immediately upon dropping or spilling. We used all recommended products for the hallmark brand. I reached out with videos, texts, photos. The owmer finally came and tried a "fix" which completely darkened and stained further the entire kitchen and hallway. He said the manufacturer swore it would restore like new. The owner promised to replace the flooring. He became ill and my issue was licked to new owners. We spent approximately $48,0000 and still have. Not had the issue resolved. In my opinion they are all liars and led us on for three years now. There gas been no integrity shown by anyone yet only empty promises. read more

Great products, great prices, OUTSTANDING service! I live in Austin and found some hardwood that I loved. Only one place here carried that wood, but it was way out of my price range. I called every place in Texas (I'm not joking) that carried that brand and Carpet Exchange was by far the cheapest. But more than that was the service. Kami did an amazing job helping us out during the entire process from placing the order until the time we received it. There were a few hiccups along the way from the delivery service, but Kami was on it! I have a feeling when people see our beautiful floors, more business will be coming their way! I can't say enough great things about the service I received. We just finished building our new home and Kami/Carpet Exchange/Installers were by far the best contractors we worked with. Their prices were better than big box store for same product. The installers were perfectionists and cleaned up after themselves prior to leaving. We stained an area the day of move in and they were quick to respond and had a crew out to patch the area within days. They were again reasonably priced for the patch, easy to work with, and focussed on getting the patch to match perfectly. Other reviewers mentioned poor service. I appreciated being able to walk the showroom uninterrupted and at my own pace. When I needed a sales associate, they were available. Kami took the time to explain the carpets and suggested a similar option but one more durable given young kids and dog at home. This was even a more affordable carpet so I believe he/they really want customers to be happy with their purchase longterm. I will be a lifetime customer and recommend them to family and friends. read more

HORRIBLE. I rarely write a bad review, but I had to write one for this business. I was needing cut and bound carpet for 3 bedrooms, so I was going to be spending a good amount of money. 1. When we got to the store, we had to BEG someone to help us. Ridiculous. We finally got someone to help us after several minutes of asking around. I paid up front. They would not order and cut the rugs without full payment; totally understandable. 2. They said that the 3 rugs will be cut and bound and ready to pick up in about 7 business days. They said for me to call them the next week to see when I could pick them up. I called 3 times and left voicemails, and finally the 4th time I called I spoke with my salesman. He said that none of the rugs were ready. He also stated that the third rug had to be shipped from another state and that it wouldn't arrive for 3-4 more weeks, and would take at least another week to be cut and bound. Why didn't he tell me that before I ordered it?? I would have picked a different carpet if I knew it was going to take that long. 3. When the rugs were finally supposed to be ready, I called and again had to call multiple times to get a salesperson (no one ever returns your voicemails or calls you back). Then they couldn't even located the remnant (that was already in the store) that two of my rugs were being cut from! It had been several weeks at this point. I finally had to tell them that if they could not give me a straight answer and tell me when each of the rugs would be ready, that I was going to cancel my order and need a FULL refund. That got a fire lit under them and they were able to tell me when the rugs would be finished by (another week). 4. I called the store a couple days before I was going to finally pick up my rugs, to make sure that all three were complete and ready to be picked up. Of course, no answer, no call back, etc. I physically went to the store to pick them up and they tell me that I had never paid for the rugs. WHAT!!?? I showed them my credit card statement, and the invoice that they gave me and after several minutes of back and forth they were finally able to "magically" locate my invoice in their system...Are you kidding me??? They were trying to get away with double charging me. Thank goodness I kept all of my receipts and had proof of my credit card statement. I will never return to this business ever. I do not recommend this business, unless you can physically visit the store several times to speak with your salesperson in person and manage your own order. Good luck... read more

This place is great! Instantly greeted by several people who work there. Very bright and well laid out showroom that easily flows from one product to another. The staff was attentive and brought me right to what I was looking for. I received a quote for what I wanted in a few hours from leaving the store, and my order was done and relay for pick-up in a week! The quality of my rug exceeded my expectations and I could not be happier. Their selection is great, and they have lots of different options to get your creative juices flowing! They are knowledgeable and helped suggest possibilities I wasn't thinking of. I would 10/10 recommend them for any of my flooring needs from tile, wood, carpet, rugs, etc. Love them! read more

I agree with Twinkle, once they have your money, they do not return calls etc. They did a office building for my brother under my supervision and they could not have made me look any worse! First they mis measured by several hundred feet and then had glue all over the carpet which they cleaned with something that left spots everywhere! We have been doing business with Kamy at Carpet Exchange for more than 20 years. They have always done an excellent job from the measurements through the installation. They carry top brands and have knowledge that you won't find at home improvement stores or even big name retailers. Most recently, our house flooded and we needed carpet and replacement for our wood floors - in a hurry!. We selected super high-end carpet from their in stock "remnant" area and were able to get it installed within 1 week and saved a ton of money. It is beautiful. Kamy recommended that we use a luxury vinyl plank instead of laminate or hardwood and we are incredibly pleased with the results. The installers did a great job removing the old floors and installing the new ones. They left no mess and even came back later to install a transition piece and fixed some in-floor outlets. No charge! I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

After tackling a major renovation project in my house and dealing with numerous contractors, vendors, tradespeople, and businesses, this is the only company that I had any issues with. They do not provide one iota of customer service once they have your money, and in our case that was thousands of dollars. Phone calls are not returned, you will be promised a certain carpet pad and then they will try to put down a cheaper one (good thing I was there when the installers came). They will tell you that prominent seams in carpet that are running down the center of the room can be fixed, but then you won't hear from them etc. This business takes the phrase caveat emptor to the next level. I will also be filing a report with the BBB which I have never had to do before this experience. Steer clear of these folks.There are plenty of other carpet companies out there. read more

I was on a very tight budget and Clyde helped me find the right carpet for the right price. I did not spend alot of money but was treated like I did. My friend recommended Carpet Exchange after we went to a store in Southlake and they quoted us some ridiculous amount to install carpet in our house. We met with Kami and told him we had a baby and dog so we wanted a study, stain resistant, yet soft carpet, and something not crazy expensive. His recommendation was just what we were looking for. I wasn't sure about the color so he let me take some samples to look at. The install was went smoothly and it looked great. After reading some of the reviews, I was a bit nervous about using this coming, but I am glad I did and we went back to get wood flooring. The previous owners put wood in several rooms, but we wanted in throughout the downstairs. Kami did not carry that same wood, but he was able to find it for us at a reasonable price. They just finished the install yesterday and it looks great! Only minor complaint would be some of the other sales people are not super friendly or helpful on the phone, but when talking to Kami, this was never the case. read more

I have used carpet exchange to first install wood flooring in my whole house. I then followed that up with them putting in a new granite countertop. I am moving forward with new backsplash and bathrooms. I cannot be happier with the service that Clyde has provided. We had a mix up along the way but the thing that is striking is how Clyde didn't bat an eyelash to getting everything fixed.
