If there was an award for the absolute worst customer service they would definitely win!!!! Good job on being the worst! After seeing everyone else's reviews I see that I am not alone in my opinion. I think we need to figure out how to get this business closed down and then get a settlement to reimburse us for the TIME we spent trying to being able to use our (VOUCHER) which is definitely not anything near FREE. VIP gets one star, because that's the least I can give them. If 0 stars was an option, that's what I would choose. We got a free cruise after attending a 'discount vacation' seminar. Reservations have to be made thru VIP, and a $100 deposit is required. However, just try to get a reservation for the free cruise. If you do, you'll find that the dates you requested are not available, and all the additional fees that are charged total out to what you can buy a cruise for at a REAL travel agency. We got our money refunded after much pestering, of course they deducted $20 out of our deposit for 'activation fee'. This place is a SHAM, and all associated with it. Stay away from VIP Travel. There is absolutely nothing VIP about the company and especially the poor customer service or lack thereof. The workers are completely inept and probably have some inbreeding going on as well. This company is a scam. Unfortunately I did not know that my mother had already been hoodwinked by these vultures. My mother purchased one of their promo scams in Woodland Hills, Ca. the deal is you get two free airfare tickets along with a rent a car voucher/ticket. They give you a form to fill out with your two choices; you choose your departure airport and departure date. Your first choice/date that you choose must be within 60 dates of the postmark and your second choice/date must be within 45 days after the 1st choice. Here's the kicker you have to redeem the airfare tickets within a year.(Okay, no problem). My mother did this in August of 2010!!!! The hook is you won't be able to use your tickets because every date that you choose they will send a letter stating "we are unable to find availability within our allotment for your travel request".. My mother changed her request 4 times(obviously not choosing a heavily traveled holiday season, etc.) She choose dates in February, March,April, May, June, July(not even 4th of July), August, September... every date she randomly choose, they sent a letter stating the above aforementioned. When I called on my mother's behalf, they stated that they could not speak to me and that I should read over the 14 bullet points of terms and conditions on the information that came with the packet they gave me mother. The ignorant ( and I dare to call her a customer service rep she actually called herself a supervisor over airfare) female, named Kim was very unprofessional nor did she try to take the time to explain why the rent-a-car ticket/voucher was about to expire. How can it expire when it hasn't been redeemed??? Is it because the company which is apparently owed by Julie McCollum a complete scam. If you ever see VIP Travel Reservations, Inc. please do yourself a favor and run in the opposite direction. They're horrible. read more

throw the postcard away when you get it. We went to the presentation just for the fun of it as we wanted to see what they would do. They start out with trying to getyou to join their travel clud for $10,000 then drop the price to $2995. When I asked what our future cruise (which we already booked on Celebrity) would cost for the same date and cabin, it was the same as we paid through Celebrity, so why would we use them? We got our "free vouchers" and took the chance of sending them the $75 money order and 6 weeks later received the instructions. It says you have to stay for 7 days which we knew nothing about and pick two dates and they would then contact you 30-45 days later if the dates are acceptable. After looking at yelp and the complaints list on Google we realize that this is a scam. Maybe we learned a good lesson....there is no free lunch..... They say to sign the form and send it in to get a refund. Huh, I bet this will never happen. No more scams for us! Older and wiser now! read more

This Company is a Joke. They refuse to accept your forms unless it has been received by Certified MAIL even if you send it in within the time limit you are given. I spoke to a so called Supervisor named Kim. She was a joke. If they do not get it Certified they hold it and tell you when you called that they are putting VOID on the Certificates and sending your stuff back. They have had it for over a month already. However your information is in their computer systems. When we went to the presentation we were not told it had to be that way. I even called before I sent the Form and Money Orders. The worst customer service and dishonest travel agent that We've ever encountered. I don't think they deserve any star. We received the promotional voucher by attending some time shared seminar. We followed the travel request procedure. They never honer our request, instead, they just kept giving us some crappy excuses. Awful! NEVER EVER USE THESE PEOPLE! They are rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. Worst experience I have ever had with people claiming to be in the customer service industry. My emails were slow to be responded to by their "specialist" and my questions were never directly answered. When I called to try and discuss my travel arrangements, the specialist wouldn't take my call and I was told that I would have to correspond by email..which I had already tried to do, and was the reason for calling because email wasn't working! I finally got connected with a manager and assumed that we would be able to come to a resolution. Well you know what happens when you make assumptions. Much to my shock and dismay, not only was I not able to get a word in edge wise as Margie kept talking over me, but I was insulted BY A MANAGER and hung up on! They must have caller ID because I had to call back 7 more times before I finally spoke to someone willing to help. When I asked for a manager they put me back to the same one who hung up on me, and this time she (Margie) was even less help and was very arguementative. So I asked to speak with her manager, and finally, this was someone who took the feew minutes to explain to me what i needed to answer my questions. If you want rude and obnoxous people handling your customer service, then this is the place for you. I called about some airline tickets that I had received as part of a promotion. The hook was that the tickets had to be booked through this two bit agency who call themselves VIP, like they'd know how to actually speak with a VIP and give the kind of service that it implies. Not only did they not help us to redeem our tickets, but their rudeness was shocking and unnecessary. The woman I spoke with needs a valium and a different line of work, like maybe banging rocks with a hammer. Stay away from this group. They're awful. read more

I have to agree with all of the above - ALL of the above - they cannot and did not do what they said they were going to do and to top it all off they kept telling me to fax the paperwork over and had there fax machine locked for hours and hours and hours and then when i finally got the paperwork thru via email - I was too late and the cruise and airfare were not longer available - but not really cause i went to each website and could find flights and cabins on my own! We were promised a 7 day cruise and round trip airfare for attending a time-share presentation. The process to claim your reward is complicated and detailed, involving deposits with cashier's checks and certified mail. When we finally received our cruise reservations, the add-on fees were $510 per person for the "free" cruise. We could book the cruise ourselves for $539 directly from Carnival. This is just a complicated scheme to make money from gullible people. read more

Yikes! SO Glad I read these reviews. I went to a Travel presentation this past weekend and got the 'gift' of two airline tickets via VIP Travel company as a thank you for attending. The rules seemed a bit odd... SO glad I didn't send the $100 registration fee (of which I'd probably never get back!) The only thing I lost I guess was 90 minutes of my time. read more

Worst company I've ever delt with!! They make promises they don't keep and then charge extra fees. We were told its $150 fee per person if you travel withen seven days of a holiday by Carnaval. Your company is nothing but a scam WE were suppose to receive a free cruise and airfare from you for joining a travel club Well that was our first mistake joining the travel club Our next was beliveing that we would receive anything for free First it was 100.00 registration fee for the cruise and 75.00 for the air Then when you contacted me about the FREE cruise with all the taxes and port charges our free cruise was about 1600.00 That was even an inside cabin We have been on 5 cruises and stayed in a cabin with a balcony for that price. You never checked on the air for me so we no that we couldnt have used both together and im sure the air would have not been cheap I then decided to just cancel and get my deposit back and that was in february I just received my deposit back today minus 40.00 that i was told when i called in today was the charge for working on my Free cruise and free air I think that is how you stay in business If you can keep 40.00 from every scam you set up thats a pretty good hull for doing nothing Because no one in their mind would pay what your asking for these FREE vacationsI will post on every scam website along with all the other people that have been scamed by you and evenually you will have to shut down because everyone looks on the computer these days read more
