With summer coming around the corner, I decided to take him here to get both a bath and grooming. As I was waiting at home, they were fast to let me know via text when he would be done. It was amazing to see this raggedy old dog turn into this handsome stud! Teddy, as always, was so nervous at first, but come by the time to pick him up he was so comfortable around them. I will never, ever, ever let this woman touch my dog again…read more I have an 8 month old wheaten terrier and I took him to personal touch last Saturday. His appointment was for 8:30 am. The place was easy to find from my home. I arrived at 8:15 am and the shop was still closed. I waited there until about 8:35 am when a young man opened the door. I walked in behind another woman to drop off my dog. As soon as I walked in, it smelled like wet dog. The worst smell! The place looks run down, like it has never been updated. The grooming tables look like they're about to fall apart. The entire shop looks dilapidated. The young man checked me in and he didn't even know what my dog was there for. My boyfriend called in the appointment about 3 weeks prior and there was no information left for the person checking me in on how we wanted his hair cut. If any one has a wheaten, you know how important it is to get their hair cut the right way. The young man proceeded to write down my dog's name and what services I wanted. There as a sign that read "credit card machine down, please use cash" and they didn't have any computer/technology available for checking in. I really didn't want to leave my dog there because the guy checking me in never greeted my dog. He just grabbed the leash and put him in the crate. He never told me who was going to cut my dogs hair. I figured I would give this place a try and not go off of what I saw. After I left, I got a call from the groomer an hour later asking me if anyone called me and how I wanted my dog's hair cut. This was very annoying since I spent 5 minutes explaining to the young man how his hair should be cut. This made me very nervous and concerned. I picked my dog up at 1pm (yes, he was there for 4.5 hours!!!!). The groomer called before I picked him up to let me know that it was $75 and that their credit card machine was down. When I picked my dog up, the groomer was not there. That's right, I NEVER MET THE GROOMER THAT SPENT 4.5 HOURS WITH MY DOG. This is highly unacceptable and unprofessional on her part. I don't even know her name to include in this review. What is she trying to hide? When it came time to pay for the service, the young man increased the price to $85. My boyfriend refused to pay that amount and had to explain to him multiple times that the groomer called and told us it would be $75. The young man then attempted to put on my dog's harness while talking on the phone. My boyfriend ended up going to the back and putting it on himself. They also forgot his collar and we had to go back to pick it up (they never even called us to tell us that we left it there, I had to call) After this whole fiasco, my dog's hair cut was TERRIBLE!!! She messed up his fall (crooked and too short) and also messed up the hair around his eyes. I guess he moved and she didn't bother to even out his eyebrows. Im highly disappointed with this business and will NEVER refer anyone to this horrible, unprofessional, dirty and shady grooming business. My dog was not in a good mood when he left either, probably because he was there for so long. We usually get compliments on how cute he looks after he gets groomed at another shop but after my dog left Personal Touch, no one even noticed that his hair was groomed. He didn't even smell good =( I wish I had something positive to say about this place. Do your research before you drop your dog off to a groomer.

Facility seems to have changed…read more In the past, i have brought feral cats that have been run over and they were always very helpful and sympathic and did not charge. Not so today. This poor baby was dead but somewhat mutilated and I could not leave in the street. Called here and they said I could have an appointment tomorrow. Said that would not work. They finally said to come in. Tech checked for chip, first it was yes, then it was no. They charged me for a communal cremation $247. I asked if they could clean it up a little, so I could take a picture to show to rescues. They would not. I don't mind paying for cremation, but called other vets...they charge $60. Don't know if it's under new management, but I would not be bringing my cats there. Feral lives might not matter to them, but they matter to many of us. ‍

My dog, Charlee is a 1.5 year old miniature pinscher / Italian greyhound mix. She is less than 10lbs... I only mention this because I want people to know that Mary can work with any size dog (from mine to my co-workers Newfie), to any personality. She is absolutely amazing. It's my belief that dogs should always continue to learn. They enjoy it and their minds need the stimulation. If you're looking for very reasonably priced group training classes for your puppy or dog, Mary is absolutely outstanding. Charlee and I have been working with Mary since the fall and absolutely adore her. We've done 1-on-1 classes in our home as well as a 6 week obedience class (Charlee graduates this Saturday), and a fun & games workshop. She is a wonderful trainer and human being. We highly recommend her classes, 1-on-1 in home training, workshops, and other services (including dog walking--- stay away from Rover and Wag, and bring in an actual dog trainer to walk your dog--- she's licenses and bonded).
