Enter the answer to our dog walker prayers: Jason! Our rockstar! Jason is the only dog walker who honored our request for a quick potty break M-F, for a very reasonable price. For the past year and a half he has stopped by our apartment to lovingly take our Bully out, rain or shine, snow or crazy NYC heat. He has never missed a day, and is always, always on time. Even better, he is always two steps ahead planning schedules in advance of holidays, long weekends, snow days, you name it. Communication is easy via text and I never have to worry about anything at home because I know I can always contact Jason with any questions or concerns (I usually get an immediate response). I called Paul and we arranged a meet and greet- Cash has been with the pack for over a year now. He goes four days a week and on those days, He sits and waits by the door every morning around the time Paul comes to pick him up- when Paul gets to the door, Cash can't contain himself he gets so excited about going with Paul and his pack of friends. Cash always returns tired and happy after his busy day exploring in the woods and on trails. Paul also takes amazing Photography of the pooches and what they get up to on the trails- we love seeing the photos weekly. He must have been in so much pain, but it took around 10 lonely hours to properly assess the situation and take him to the emergency room. Timber is already an anxious dog so we have been to pieces hearing the news. Pawsies paid for the amputation and cared for him afterwards, but when we respectfully asked for a way to deduct suture removal bills (or god forbid infection care) from the balance, Ivan accused us of caring more about money than our child's health. lowk lunatic take. Instead of insuring Timber's long term medical care due to this incident, expressing how they will make it up to him, guaranteeing this won't happen again to another dog, or even just letting us know the line will stay open for vet Qs or future Pawsies service requests, Ivan told us in a jarring and bizarre text to never contact his phone again. At the end of the day, while Pawsies was supposed to be keeping Timber safe, we paid them for a job they didn't do. we are relieved Timber is out of there and recovering with family, but we still sad and confused about the situation. Accident or not, sweeping up the pieces does not un-shatter a treasure. Timber's nub was still raw and bleeding when we returned. We hope Ivan uses our 1K for something REAL nice because our boy is coming home permanently mutilated. one note: Chris was the one kind and sane person we spoke to during this shitshow and we are thankful to have corresponded with him when they broke the news (which we know is not an easy task.) The team advices ahead of time when they are picking up or dropping off the dogs, so that you can prepare yourself either with a mask or head to a different room. I see them constantly using sanitizers and have never seen them without their masks appropriately worn. Even with so many dog owners working from home, it is still super important and valuable for your four-legged child to get out and socialized with other neighborhood dogs and people.
