they say they open at 7am, but no doctors are there. I noticed they keep toxic workers there, and get rid of honest workers. Dr. Brown is the main bimbo, who talks bad about his fellow doctors to his employees. all employees are scared to speak up and allow all the gossip around them. I wouldn't trust that hospital, especially when they gave a clients pet wrong medication and acted like nothing, did not take any responsibility for that pet. :( . Another doctor has her best friend working in the front, and takes her word over other employees, treats employees horrible, has no back bone. They never take accountability for all the mistakes and misinformation they give out. read more

I have been taking my pups to VVVH for the last 6 years and wouldn't go anywhere else. Dr Steyee and Dr Brown are amazing people who are compassionate and caring. Dr Brown was very supportive, when we had to put Mia down in 2023. We needed immediate help and she took us in with no appointment... Same thing, no appointment, and compassion. This clinic was awful. We took our dog here for years until she was diagnosed with kidney and liver failure. Her condition worsened quickly and when it came time for Euthanasia, we were treated extremely poorly and rudely by a suite of unlicensed and untrained veterinary technicians who botched installing the catheter, failed to provide warning of side effects for sedatives that caused distress, and continued to be cruel and condescending through the process. They still continue to refuse to take accountability for this. read more

My cat has had a ongoing issue and she needed a intestinal flush done to move her bowels and they can keep her all day to work around it. Instead, they say you can go to Vegas in a emergency situation. Really! I have to work and they forget people still work in this town! So she might have to wait another day! Now she has not moved her bowels fir 2 days! So they said we will get with the doctor. So I hope the doctor has a sensitive consciousness if a human gets constipated would you not want relief?! Our poor kitty has really been thru it. The "other" vet in Mesquite mis diagnosed our boy last summer and then did it again last week. Then the "other" vet in Mesquite , knowing our cat, Kai, had not eaten for days, GHOSTED us, not returning our calls, not following thru with promised diet plans to get our cat, who the "other" vet told us had kidney disease(not correct,thank God) to start eating a low protein diet to support his kidneys , not even calling to see how he was doing. In the meantime, Kai didn't eat for almost 5 days which can be fatal for a cat. After spending the night in the emergency animal Hospital in St. George, the wonderful Dr.Briggs tells us that Kai does not have either mega colon OR kidney failure and that the meds that we have been religiously giving him for months for mega colon are making him sick to his stomach and have bowel cramps and nausea and esophageal spasms. Dr. Briggs sent us to the caring folks at Virgin Valley Veterinary Hospital also in Mesquite and they accommodated us the next day, they took all the information that Dr Briggs sent them from the emergency hospital, all the tests that the first ghost vet had not even done before giving our boy a virtual death sentence and the not calling us or returning our calls, and Dr Baldwin examined Kai and said the same thing. She was very kind and calmed me down a bit (my blood was boiling) and gave us the great news that our boy was fine but we must stop the drugs he has been on, give him an appetite enhancer and some B12 and he is now doing great. Eating, drinking , pooping, peeing and sleeping. All the essential cat stuff. We now have established care with a great day to day vet with Dr.Baldwin and we have a great emergency vet with Dr. Briggs. I met with Dr Steyee today. Our Little Spunky had a red eye with some greenish discharge. We believe it was an infection. We also had other concerns we wanted addressed..which I told the appt desk at time of scheduling . This was the most upsetting doctor visit I've had anywhere! This doctor was extremely rude, and made me feel really bad. Tried to make me feel i was less then a person. I would never see this doctor again. He was the exact opposite of professionalism. Apparently, I have some notes in my dogs file that states I complain about wait time. He told me he was not going to listen to me bitch and I can just go someplace else. He told me that he was not going to say he was sorry for the wait. "This isn't Mcdonalds. We have other dogs that come in here and there might be a dog who was run over by a car..that dog would be first. If I don't know that! I like to say the only time I've been unhappy about wait times is when I've come in for a can of dog food and it takes 20-30 minutes to get it done. I was told if we were going to move forward with exam I need to just stop talking now. He did exam my dog. Never told me a thing about what he was doing, why, or ask if I wanted all these alaborate tests done. I tried to make things better by extending my hand for a hand shake..I said Im sorry we started on the wrong foot..to which he told me I'm going to tell you again we have important things that happen here and your bitching is not going to be tolerated. When I made the appointment I told them we had a couple of things we need to ask. I was told that would be fine. When he came in he told me he would not have time to address anything but the eye problem. He did briefly talk to me about the two small seizures Spunky had had on July 9th. Basically treating me like a child and said if you'd had a couple seizures would you wait 2 weeks for a doctors appt?! He told me to make appt. with Doctor Brown. I was charged over $200.00 for Vet Steyee to tell me he thinks it's dry eye. He was also condescending when I said putting the drops in Spunky's eye might be difficult. He said well we do it all the time it takes practice. We originally came here to see Doctor Brown. She was highly recommended by dear friends. She has been helpful and we like her..she is the only reason we stay. This was a horrible vet visit!! read more

Please see my review on Google. I would avoid this office at all costs unless you just like to pay big bucks for unprofessional work. They will order tests for your dog and then not even look at them. In order to get them to look at them you have to call for follow-up and even then they don't seem to know what you're talking about. You're charged for procedures that are not done which causes illness and injury to go undetected as it did with my dog. Also during this covid 19 shut down they continued to operate as business as usual. No requirements for face masks or social distancing instead they stack up numerous pets and owners during the same time frame which requires you waiting in the small waiting room for your appointment. Recently when I tried to communicate directly with vvvh concerning misdiagnosis and overcharges for my dog's recent treatment they refused to return my emails even though I continued to place phone calls and sent emails to them for follow up. Finally approximately two weeks after the fact I got a terse letter from Dr Steyee which reads as follows: "we do the best we can with the resources we have during these very difficult times sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you we are sending your records to you hopefully you can find a vet you are comfortable with " This of course is after charging me approximately $750 for a misdiagnosis a lack of treatment, rude unprofessional conduct and a good chance of exposure to covid 19.This is obviously one of those businesses that think first about their billings and gross income and only after that do they think about the customer. read more

I would love to thank everyone involved at the Hospital. Our Samantha has been getting old fast with arthritis and other issues that were painful. She was 14 yrs old. They were so helpful to make her comfortable for as long as they could. Yesterday we decided it was time and when we called they got us in and the procedure was loving and at our pace. Sam went to the Rainbow Bridge being hugged and loved. She is no longer in pain. Thank you so very much for making this such a loving goodbye for our baby. read more

We have had a great experience with both Dr. Brown and Dr. Steyee. They have sent us reminder cards for vaccines and follow up appointments, we used them for kennel services for when we had to leave town, and they have helped us care for our furry family members needs. They have been patient with us (mostly me) when we have had questions. The staff knows our dog by name. I would not go anywhere else. read more

Eighteen months ago I moved to Mesquite, Nevada so I am not familiar with the area, health care providers, etc. To say I am disappointed with Virgin Valley Veterinarian Hospital is an understatement. Virgin Valley is service. They are fine if you just need puppy shots etc, well visits, neutering or dental (nothing serious). I had taken my dog (Maddie) a mini long haired dachshund to this vet for over a year - allergies, shots, etc. In fact, 8 weeks was prior to her death she had dental work done. They did blood work. However, when she became sick, I couldn't reach them. They don't work after 5 pm or on weekends. I drove to St. George, Utah for emergency services multiple times because Maddie needed help after hours. When I was finally able to get Maddie into Virgin Valley, I was told they didn't have the tools necessary to do the surgery. She did have liver cancer and I understand this type of cancer is extremely difficult to treat. However, the vet did an ultrasound, discovered the tumor informed me of exploratory surgery and then closed Maddie back up and sent her home. I was not given options about referral to another vet other than she was referring Maddie to a vet in St. George (no name, etc) and sending the biopsy to Salt Lake City for a diagnosis. Maddie died four days later at home. This vet should have referred me to a vet who did have the tools, knew how to do the surgery, could do a biopsy. Virgin Valley should have paid attention to Maddie's dental blood work. It was not a matter of money. Had I been given options, I would have immediately driven to Las Vegas for services. In fact, the emergency vet in St. George alluded to the surgery center in Las Vegas but at the time I didn't understand. I was not given a choice of doing what was best for Maddie. read more

If you don't care that they do not follow up on a sick animal or make excuses for 48 hours that they are "too busy" to return your calls then go here. My animal had to be euthanized because of their lack of care to assist with my very sick animal. Oh.....don't tell them you are not wealthy as this will turn them off for sure. Its all about quantity......not quality. Their site says, "they are better than most". Ask yourself, most of what? Most of the bottom I would guess.
